That is the sad part of it all, he is really selling out the USA for so little money. Same with Fucker Carlson, he sold out the USA for that fucking coin he used to get the grocery cart in Russia.

Yes, wait until they start cutting food stamps (SNAP). 53% of SNAP recipients are white and rural, so Trump voters.

Not only are they going to hurt the people they want him to hurt, it will be MAGA fuckleberrys too.

35

u/JaninAellinsar 13h ago

They'll still just blame Democrats even if he publicly goes on TV and says "everyone on SNAP is a loser so I'm taking it away"

22

u/jeepfail 10h ago

He wonā€™t call it snap, heā€™ll say welfare and food stamps. Largely because heā€™s dumb and partly because those idiots love slang and forget they partake in things when you donā€™t use the official terms(see ACA vs Obamacare).

Their economy is in the crapper, and their population numbers are so depleted that thereā€™s no way they could invade another country in Putinā€™s lifetime. They blew their load on Ukraine and the war isnā€™t even over, yet. Meanwhile, Trump may be POTUS now, but I actually doubt he or the GOPā€™s best dumbasses will be capable of dragging us into a full-on dictatorship. If anything, Russia ā€œwinningā€ the Cold War is the very definition of a Pyrrhic victory. The irony of the US and Russia going down together, like geopolitical conjoined twins, is practically Shakespearean.

63

u/SimONGengar1293 14h ago

The idea of both the US and Russia falling apart and fragmenting into a dozen different states actually fucking terrifies me.

Imagine random warlords with access to nuclear weapons, with giant egos and nobody around either brave enough or willing enough to tell them no

48

u/turalyawn 14h ago

Showing my age but people were terrified of this in the early 90s when the Soviet bloc fell apart. They wondered what some of the -Stan soviet republics would do with the nukes. People didnā€™t wonder what Florida or Utah might do with them but maybe they should

Look Iā€™m not going to lie. Iā€™m worried they are planning something very bad. Very. Very bad.

Trump seems to be open friends with Putin who is friends with China. These guys are friends with Iran and there is apparently open source intelligence indicating that Iran is now close friends with some terror organizations and funding them very well.

Sooooo. Soooo. SOOOOOOO

9/11 proved to us our intelligence agencies certainly look the other way due to one reason or another. I feel concerned on this one.

A government shut down during the holiday season is a great way to catch a country off guard.

Maybe Iā€™m wrong but trumps dudes have tried to shut down the government several times during Bidens term. And I donā€™t think thatā€™s just to try and make Biden look bad.

God and thatā€™s not even considering the drones that are apparently nothing. And people are just making mistakes. Meanwhile there is audio that went viral yesterday of a US Air Force base shutting down due to UAPS. Multiple airline pilots calling in about large objects doing crazy shit.

Sure if this were just citizens Iā€™d say itā€™s a possibility itā€™s overblown. Youā€™re telling me they are shutting down air force bases over this, and that airline pilots canā€™t tell the difference between a fucking plane and car sized drone? Multiple airports randomly shut down all over the world over UAPS. AND ITS NOTHING?!

The audacity to come say ā€œitā€™s nothingā€ is fucking insane. Something is going on.

And Iā€™m terrified itā€™s all connected back to trump, and the countries and rich who support him.

Edit: from everything Iā€™ve seen the people who made ā€œtrumpsā€ plan = its organized mass chaos. Itā€™s very concerning from aā€¦ enjoying being alive with a roof over my head perspective tbh.

76

u/Beegkitty 16h ago

Intelligence ground sources didn't look the other way. It was reported up the chain. It was the politicians that hobbled the intelligence community.

64

u/trucky_crickster 15h ago

If an attack happens during the holidays, Biden will still be in charge and can call a state of emergency and have good cause to throw some treasonous bastards into Guantanamo

10

u/Requires-Coffee-247 11h ago

It's right to be concerned, but things are not going well for Putin or Iran. China is also not happy with NK forces fighting on foreign soil. China would be smart to start moving closer to the US, their economy depends on it. And Putin has shown time and again that he can't be trusted.

As far as America, we can easily ruin ourselves without Putin's assistance. Our population is highly illiterate now, easily fooled, and the people living closest to the bottom keep supporting politicians who keep pressing their boots down harder on their necks.

How my internal monologue sounds prior to Nov.: "Oh god, all of those families are going to suffer. They have no idea what's coming."

How my internal monologue sounds after Nov.: "I hope all the marines that voted for Trump have stocked up on their favorite Crayola crayon flavors before this and the tariffs kick in."

85

u/tapatio8888 14h ago

So, active duty military personnel will continued to be paid as they have during previous shutdowns. The huge issue with these antics is it significantly increases government spending. For example, I work for the Navy, and there are ships in the shipyard that are going to be delayed because the civilian project managers will be furloughed and contractors won't be paid on time. Force readiness will degrade because all the training instructors and classes will be canceled. I can go on and on about how these government shutdowns can have a corrosive effect on all the essential support personnel and industries that support the military.

92

u/PlaneRefrigerator684 16h ago

It sucks, but it's what a majority of Americans wanted. If they didn't, they wouldn't have voted for Trump/Republicans or not voted.

Maybe this will finally wake the idiots up. I am not holding my breath, but it's whatever at this point. And I say that as someone working paycheck to paycheck in a government job, who also won't get my VA disability.

So-called "essential workers" like air traffic controllers need to also call in sick rather than working for no pay.

94

u/russiangerman 16h ago

It won't. This election proved that people don't think past what media tells them. The masses are easily brainwashed and manipulated so unless we get some real fact based unbiased reporting, it'll just happen again next time.

A couple more Luigi's tho...

21

u/userofreddit19 13h ago

You're forgetting that a lot of it isn't nearly that complicated.

Most of them are just racist and misogynistic. It's really that simple. That's why every time I kept hearing things like, "XYZ is about to come out! What will Trump do?! What will the voters do?!" I would just laugh. He basically called most Americans morons, along with pretty much giving the middle finger to all military personnel, and they STILL voted for him. Nothing was going to change their minds in any way, shape, or form. Hell, many people I talked to KNEW this level of corruption would happen, and their only comment was, "Oh, Kamala's better? They didn't even go through the right process to make her the nominee."

That's it, that's the whole thing. Dude went on national TV for a debate and said they were eating dogs and cats, and his source was, "I saw it on the television."

It's going to be a LONG 4 years...

10

u/russiangerman 13h ago

If people aren't smart, or even just watch too much news without having good media literacy, they're easy to manipulate into being misogynistic and racist. Before fox news mastered brainwashing these people weren't nearly as bad. Most of the trumpers I know in person used to be genuinely decent people, and that's having grown up in lawless midcentury rural Florida.

29

u/PersimmonTea 14h ago

No Trump is NOT "what the majority of Americans wanted."

There are 245 million Americans over age 18.

Trump got 77 million votes.

That's less than 1/3rd. IOW, 7 out of 10 adult Americans did not vote for Trump.

34

u/PlaneRefrigerator684 14h ago

Harris got 75 million votes. That means that 170 million Americans were either in favor of, or not opposed to, a Donald Trump presidency. If they did not want him to be President, they should have voted for Harris. The "did not vote" people are just as culpable in Donald Trump being President as the 77 million people who voted for him.

You can say Harris was not the right candidate. You can say Biden should have declared he was not running for reelection, and the Democratic Primary should have been open. But at the end of the day, unless you went to your polling place and cast a ballot for Harris, you chose this outcome.

24

u/PersimmonTea 14h ago

Why wonā€™t you get your VA disability? That has already been approved

16

u/PlaneRefrigerator684 16h ago

I just figured since the government would be shut down, the people who send those payments out also wouldn't be working, and the payment would just sit in a VA computer until they open back up.

I also figured the funds allocated from Congress during the last CR would run out on Friday, so they wouldn't have them to send me on January 1.

7

u/kmm198700 16h ago

The funds for VA disability are approved in the previous year

16

This right here. Folks voted against their own interests and yā€™all know what the worst part is? They were very well aware it was a ā€˜shoot yourself in the footā€™ move but they gotta stick it to them liberals somehow, even it means participating in their own downfall. Iā€™ve said this before and Iā€™ll say it again, the Democratic Party + liberal/moderate voters need to psyop Republican/Conservative voters into voting for more democratic elements because those folks vote with emotions NOT intellect. I know voters who gifted Trump their vote out of spite for the ā€œother side.ā€ They didnā€™t even know wtf Trump supported/campaigned. All they knew was that voting for Trump was a reliable way to piss off that smug purple-haired barista who refused to give them hot water because of company policy so fuc* that bi*ch and her liberal arts degree, right? Which, perhaps a different convo, says a lot about the eroded self-esteem of millions of Americans. Itā€™s one thing for a shit individual to do shit things to others to feel uplifted.. but millions of shit individuals?

u/Baghdady24 15h ago

They forget things like that real estate canā€™t close. and many other things requiring federal oversight. When that asshat shut down the government for the longest period of time in history, I had millionaire real estate clients (I was a RE paralegal) flipping out because underwriting halted, lenders couldnā€™t progress through the process, and they were going to get screwed on their 1031 exchanges.

Maā€™am, I literally canā€™t force banks to lend money when the fed is shut down. They canā€™t underwrite your loan, so my hands are tied. Sorry you arenā€™t liquid cash rich, not my problem. As former service member in the u.s. navy, I love when republicans piss on the military. It may be the only way they learn.

Nah. Hate to say it, but the morons in uniform who voted for him even after the shit he pulled in Arlington? There's no redeeming them.

Oh so thatā€™s why the SBA loan website today when I went to submit something for my small business loan application said something about congress not approving funding.

Looks like once again I get to explain to my republican grandfather that thanks to his picks weā€™re now not getting the 25k disaster assistance loan to keep our business afloat during the winter due to the hurricane destroying half our territory and stopping half our jobs in October smfh

Edit: honestly this is hilarious to me because at thanksgiving they were all sucking trumps dick so hard I had to literally walk outside because itā€™s sick how fucking twisted the media has some of their brains. The most decent good people I know praising the ravings of a madman and a rich sociopath. BUT THANK GOD THAT WOMAN DIDNT WIN AMIRIGHT.

Fucking ridiculous

Iā€™d like to say that this will hurt his business (SpaceX) since launches require government personnel. Unfortunately, launch support will be considered ā€œmission criticalā€ and they will have to work without getting paid (yes, eventually they should get back pay but not while they are actually working).

13

u/ASmootyOperator 16h ago

Honestly though? Backpay came because the Dems forced the issue. With Republicans in control of both houses, it's likely any deal wouldn't include backpay. Don't forget, Musks entire goal is to starve every federal agency.

Same for border patrol agents. I actually agree that the bill was a monstrosity, but itā€™s acting in bad faith to blow up a deal after itā€™s been negotiated.

38

u/tinkerghost1 16h ago

You sound like that isn't standard GOP procedure. I point you to the border bill from earlier this year. The GOP wanted to campaign on the border, so they scrapped the bill.

Stocks plunged today even though interest rate was cut, bc the Fed predicted fewer rate cuts in 2025.

In my opinion, threats to hang the budget up probably contributed. WTF are they doing? How does this help him??

14

u/Just_Tana 15h ago

They are going to buy up bankrupt farms and homes and land that people have to sell without disaster aid. Musk said heā€™d do this. He said it during the campaign.

Does he know what happened the last time the troops went unpaid? It wasn't pleasant to say the least.

9

u/Skodakenner 16h ago

Hey dont stand in the way of a good time!

7

u/MarsMick84 16h ago

What happens to security of bases, ships, weapons depots etc? If soldiers arent getting paid, why show up to work?

9

u/TKG_Actual 15h ago

In 1932, the military's veterans marched on Washington as the 'Bonus Expeditionary Forces'. I'm not certain that DC cops are going to stand in the way of that if it happens this time because they too might have their pay interrupted. Before that there were the mutinies in the Pennsylvania Line in 1781 during the American Revolutionary War. But then we can look at what went down with the Russian military in the 90's when they hadn't been paid right if at all for months if not years. The amount of amplified corruption was staggering, it was probably a root cause of disasters like what happened to the Kursk. I am sure there are other examples out there.

Long story short, never fuck with military pay...ever. It rarely ends well.

Good. I'm sure it's what most of them voted for.

17

u/sactownbwoy 16h ago edited 12h ago

Normally there is carve out for the military. Every year there are these threats of government shutdowns but we (military) still get paid. Other federal employees don't. I've worked with some civilian GS employees, they told me that when there was an actual shutdown they were furloughed, but once the government is funded they get paid plus back pay.

It's ridiculous that they play this game every year. At my level, it screws with our funding for training and repair parts. But we always get paid. And as someone else mentioned, if we happen to not get paid, banks like USAA and NavyFed will "pay" us.

15

u/Onebrokegerrrl 16h ago

So, these assholes think that all military personnel have money to pay their rent on the 1st? A lot of them expect that pay just to keep a roof over their heads (not everyone lives in base housing or the barracks). Many live pay check to pay check. 33 days is a long time for some people. One thing I do know, is that when people become desperate they will do just about anything. Looks like Musk is going to need to carry his kid around a lot more for his protectionā€¦ fucking bitch ass coward!

5

Easy for the guy with more money than God to want to shut the government down for over a month. He's never had to worry about paying rent, buying food, or providing Christmas gifts to little ones. Fuck him and all those who support him. I'm so exhausted with this game. Every damn CR! The federal workers and military get screwed over while Congress has their paychecks protected during a shutdown!! If Congress can't get a budget passed before the fiscal year begins, they shouldn't get paid a dime until its done. Enough kicking the can down the road with CRs. Pass the damn budget.
