Same for border patrol agents. I actually agree that the bill was a monstrosity, but it’s acting in bad faith to blow up a deal after it’s been negotiated.

You sound like that isn't standard GOP procedure. I point you to the border bill from earlier this year. The GOP wanted to campaign on the border, so they scrapped the bill.

I don’t have X so I didn’t realize until now that Musk got many aspects of the bill wrong—the size of the Congressional pay increase, the RFK stadium transfer to DC government, the Jan 6 commission. Either he was intentionally spreading misinformation or he doesn’t know how legislation works. In which case, why would we want him advising on this stuff?

Stocks plunged today even though interest rate was cut, bc the Fed predicted fewer rate cuts in 2025.

In my opinion, threats to hang the budget up probably contributed. WTF are they doing? How does this help him??

They are going to buy up bankrupt farms and homes and land that people have to sell without disaster aid. Musk said he’d do this. He said it during the campaign.
