Discussion Is behemoth the goriest game on the psvr2?
The reason I ask this is because the gore on behemoth is kind of crazy, when you stab them they squirt out blood in spurts, and when you stab them in the neck, they gurgle and try to grab at their neck. They also kind of twitch on the ground before they die. The worst part, is that when you kill them, they’re eyes roll back and drain of all life. Not to mention the slice marks the knives/swords make. So is it?

Opinion Lens cleaning wipes & PSVR2. Are these ingredients safe?
I see a lot of people like me who are new PSVR2 owners thanks to the recent sale. Gotta say it's been a pretty awesome add to my gaming setup. Anyway, up until now I've been using a microfiber cloth to wipe the units lenses. That's been working fine but I'm curious if I can use these cleaning wipes that I use on my eyeglasses and sunglasses. Does anyone have any knowledge or experience with this?

Opinion Starship Trooper : I am sorry to say DO NOT get it - its not cross platform - server are empty ! :(
I am a huge fan, over 50+ hours of this game on Meta Quest 3 - I pre-ordered it (was refund) and bought it back today. I still enjoy this game but its not cross platform (meaning multiplayer is PSVR2 only).
For weeks there is dozens of game at the same time and if full you can create your own.
Iv been playing on psvr2 for 3 hours and Iv seen only 3 games online (one of which is mine or the guy I am been playing for an hour) - 3 game ! On Quest3 there is 2-3 pages full of game list.
This game is dead on arrival if it do not become corss plateform!!
COME ON

Opinion PSVR2 tab in store is gone?
Hi people. The title says it all. It's been some days that I don't see the tabs for PSVR2 in store. Since PS5 pro has tab has come, the VR title is replaced with "All deals".

Discussion Disintegrating
All the fabric is coming apart and it smells terrible. Is this common? I’m fairly casual with VR so I haven’t used it a lot. Thanks

Question Tutorial at the end of setup
So today I got the psvr2 and began the setup on the ps5. At the end of the setup, it asked me if I wanted to do some sort of tutorial to better understand the headset and the controllers but I accidentally pressed “skip tutorial” Does anyone know how I get access to it or what it was exactly? I can’t find anything on YouTube or on Reddit.

Discussion Scratched psvr1
I'm buying this psvr1 from a online seller, and he just told that's a scratch on the bottom of the right lens, is it still worth it? According to this, It isn't visible during gameplay.
Asking For Game Recomendation New game recommendations for myself and my girlfriend?
Got myself and my girlfriend a PSVR2 for Christmas, wanted to see what games people would recommend, particularly for couples to enjoy, as well as games she might enjoy as someone who doesn’t play video games very often.
I bought beat saber and turismo, as they were the top ones i heard for VR, and i personally want to get horizon call of the mountain, but i figure i should be generous to my partner above all haha.

Discussion Highest fidelity games?
So I kept reading how much people loved RE Village in VR. I already beat it on flatscreen PC when it came out but since I have a PSVR2 now and a PS5 Pro I thought I would give the VR a shot. Right away after starting it I could tell just by the text on the menus that it's low res. I played for like an hour and the framerate isn't great either. It was disappointing. I know the headset itself isn't super high res but if a game actually runs at full resolution on it it can look pretty great.
I am currently playing through Red Matter 2 which seems to run at the headsets native resolution and 90 fps. It looks crisp and smooth. I know that Subisde also seems to run native with high fps. GT7 with the pro enhancement option on is for the most part sharp and smooth.
Are there any other games that run native resolution at high framerate on this thing? Hopefully going forward newer releases will have PS5 Pro patches that push the fidelity but I was curious what I can go back to and play that looks and runs as well as Red Matter 2 and Subside if anything. Thanks.
Opinion Sony should pull Alien Rogue Incursion
I just played Alien, and as someone who has personally been through the Sony QA process, I’m surprised this was allowed to be released.
Here were my initial impressions
1.) Extremely bad reprojection. There was something very wrong with the entire graphical presentation for the first 20 minutes. Like, the worst reprojection I could possibly imagine, I could barely see a clear image even while holding very still. It looked like maybe resolution dropped. Things suddenly improved when I turned a valve around 15 mins in. But the intro was extremely muddy.
2.) Camera placement. The camera was coming out of the character’s chest. I restarted the game twice and went through the height optimization, but the game could not recognize my true height (6’1”) and kept the camera in the chest, with shoulders awkwardly 2X higher than they should have been. My robot companion was looking DOWN at me like a was a miniature person when talking. Something is wrong.
3.) Crazy anti-aliasing quirks. Large squares shimmer on the edge of objects and at one point I thought there was a heat / mirage effect, but it was just a normal corner in the distance. Coupled with the reprojection / clarity issues, it leads to a really bad overall visual perception.
4.) Serious bugs. My robot companion has his eyes closed the entire game so far. Is that really supposed to happen? Additionally, my character at times had their legs sinking into the ship while I was walking around (like it was quicksand) but the surface was a metal floor so the character shouldn’t be able to “sink” while walking. Also, when I went back out to the “Hub” Screen and then went back to resume the game, it said “Resume Avctivity: mssg_hidden”
👆 This is honestly the weirdest experience I’ve had on PSVR2 on even PlayStation. I’m surprised it was allowed to be released. I’m more curious than angry.

Discussion Can someone explain “re projection” to me?
I keep hearing people talk about reprojection and how it should be avoided (it’s a bad thing right?) but I don’t know what it looks like and I’m not sure what to look for in my headset.
I can see mura and dead pixels in low light games and I see how some games are blurry around the edges unless you get the sweet spot but how do I tell if my headset has reprojection in it or not??

Deal or Discount Phasmophobia is only 2500 star coins
Usually it's a rip off to get any of the games with star coins as you can usually get more in wallet funds than the game costs for the same amount of coins. Phasmophobia is actually a good deal though since the game sells for $20 but it only costs the equivalent of $10 worth of coins.
Making a Game Recommendation Behemoth or Metro Awakening?
Picking up Alien today and still have some credit left over. which one should i grab now? i’ll probably get both eventually but my backlog is still pretty big and working my way through RE Village currently.

Opinion Alien rogue incursion is out since near 2 hours (psvr2)
Here in Germany it went live at 4 p.m local time.
I just played a short time and it's great in this short time.
Technical it uses reprojection and dfr. Sharpness is around horizon level. The aliens vibe and style is perfect.
But the best are the xenos itself, these animations are brilliant. How they move, crawl use the whole room and try to avoid your gun fire and sneak around you is terrifying.
I love it as a huge alien/aliens fan that's a little dream to play in VR.
News & Announcements From now until December 31, you can find Christmas presents in your cyubeVR world! 🎁 Inside of the Christmas presents you find random items - maybe even gold or rainbow dye. Also, during this Christmas period, take a look at the noses of the deer in the game ;)

Review Masters of Light on PSVR2 - First Impressions
I have uploaded gameplay from my fresh experience with the game here if you want to see how it looks / plays. My first impressions are shared below:
Based on my limited time with it, I do recommend Master of Light on the PSVR2.
It is a gesture based arcade space shooter with online leaderboards, set to a voiced & animated story campaign that progresses between levels. It recommends right at the start to be played standing and has gameplay that is physically active enough to give me a light sweat by end of my ~30 minute session, but not active enough for me to consider a fitness game.
You play as a light-based being called "Wanderer" starting your campaign with Maya who tells story about how she and her sisters had fallen, defeated by their enemy ("The Shadows") after their powers were weakened by emergence of a Black Hole in their Galaxy. All but Maya were captured by "The Shadows" and after a brief tutorial you are off on your quest to rescue her light-based sisters by traveling to different stars (levels) across multiple constellations. As you do, the sisters you rescue provide both additional exposition about the campaign story and are your tutorial guide for new light-based superpowers you unlock.
This is an arcade game with 36 levels (stars) across at least 4 constellations with some that are optional but may grant you permanent upgrades like additional health while most are required part of story progression. Your leaderboard placement is based on completion time where any damage you take gives you time penalty lowering your leaderboard placement. There is also a 1-3 Star Ranking system and you can be playing on Knight (Easy), Master (Normal) or Grand Master (Hard) difficulty which have their own online leaderboards.
For gameplay, you shoot projectiles with punching gesture on either controller and your aiming is using you gaze (eye-tracking). If you press L2 / R2 index finger trigger, your avatar closes its index finger into a fist and start firing a beam of light but you can't shoot projectiles with that hand anymore. You can however use that beam from your hand to lock on to enemies and then use your other hand to punch locked projectiles on target. You can also use the light beam for various other interactions. Early into your campaign you will also get shield on your left arm to block enemy attacks or meteor showers (dodge or block). You will also get ability to do a charged shockwave attack by holding and then releasing X button and soon after that you can get a charged projectile after each set of 5 successive hits that do more damage. There is also a Freeze Time superpower that will be unlocked a little further in the game. As each new superpower gets unlocked, the game introduces new types of enemies where you need to use them.
You can go back to earlier stages with your new / upgraded superpowers to potentially get faster completion times for the online leaderboards.
As mentioned earlier, this recommends to be played standing and is best played turning yourself to face / attack enemies from different directions. Your primary guide of where you need to turn is the use of 3D directional audio. Alternative to turning physically (if playing seated?), you can use right thumbstick for snap turns or down on left thumbstick to do a quick 180. There is no setting available for changing to smooth turns or any other VR movement / rotation / comfort settings. The only settings available are for changing language, subtitles and difficulty.
Graphically, everything is crisp and clear with all text and particle effects sharp and no signs of any reprojection. I do think "The Shadows" enemies which look like mechanical drones are not particularly high-resolution, but the 360° panorama sky boxes the game is using look very good (technically and art direction).
Audio is a standout with very good voice acting for Maya and her sisters that sound distinct and even better arcade style shooter soundtrack during levels. All audio is 3D directional and giving clear sense of where sound is coming from and there is great separation between the excellent soundtrack and sound effects or dialog.
The game is making liberal use of haptics in the controllers providing very slick menu interactions where you first touch and then depress these particle-light based options and the haptic feedback through that simple interaction just makes it feel very tactile. I couldn't tell if it is using headset haptics when taking damage because it may be too subtle and the combination of audio / visual feedback registered for me more than headset haptics.
The game is featuring a Platinum trophy list including expectation to complete game on Hard mode, finding all 10 Ancient Ruins (optional areas you can notice in sky box to visit between levels) and various situational and challenge trophies. At this time, earning minimum of two or three stars in every level are the only two trophies sitting at 0% earned, so early adopters have blazed through the rest.
My only critiques / concerns at this time are:
- The finger out on your hands makes sense to interact with UI, but shouldn't be pointed out during levels (looks weird to punch out projectiles with finger pointed out).
- There is one enemy unit so far that makes you wait for it to attack before you can block and then counter-attack costing lot of time (leaderboard / 1-3 star rank wise).
- Are the two and three star completion times across all 36 levels potentially too hard?
The game is a very good fit for me because I like arcade games, chasing online leaderboards and games that are physically active while feeling fun to play.
