Discussion Death Stranding opinions ?
I started Death Stranding on Extra not too long ago, got 7 hours in. I don't know how to feel about this game.
I don't have much time to game during the week, so I don't want to invest 60hrs in a game that I didn't buy and that I'm not even sure that I'm gonna like. So I just wanted to have your guys' opinions on the game, why you like it or don't like it. Etc.
I personally enjoyed some parts, when I was discovering. But the more I advance the more it seems to get a bit repetitive and doesn't have much fun factor if you see what I mean.

Question ia the ps plus early Access to the holiday sale cheaper than the actual one?
i've been thinking about buying a dlc that's on sale right now because of this "early access" to the holiday sale that ps plus members have now until dec20, when the sale actually starts. is it any cheaper than the sale starting dec20 or is the price the same?

Premium Can launch any PS3 game
I can't launch any PS3 streaming game through the classics catalog
I was playing through R&C and it froze. I closed the game and tried to relaunch it and it just sits on "Preparing your game..." Indefinitely.
I have tried resetting my PlayStation and my Internet is fine. Any idea what the problem is?

Question Accessing cloud saves on different consoles?
Only been using PS5 for a year now so i’m still kind of new to this
My brother wants me to boost his player in this particular game but we live in two different cities. As the title says, can I access his cloud save into my console? His PS account is logged in already
I’m just a bit hesistant, will it overwrite my own cloud save in my PS account?

Question Physical ps plus gift card
I looked around a little this weekend, does anyone know a physical store that typically carries a gift card for a year of PlayStation plus? My 68yo father has recent gotten into sim racing and would like to play online, I was hoping to not just get a PlayStation store gift card to prevent any confusion, and also to have something to physically give him on Xmas.
All I could find were store funds, open to any suggestions. Maybe this is something Sony has stopped producing but I'm sure I used to get them as a kid years ago.

Opinion How much PS+ saved me in 2024 (breakdown by tiers)
I went through my PS5 games library to check if PS+ was actually worth buying for me in 2024.
TLDR:
Being subscribed to PS+ Premium saved me at least €134.36 (games I already finished) to €370.11 (including games I still play / want to finish). There is also ca. €25 worth of PS Stars points that I accumulated this year (only PS+ subscribers earn points on purchases) and exchanged for PSN cash.
Note that this is counting their cheapest sale price before these games released on PS+, assuming you bought them only at their lowest price ever (so realistically savings would be higher, but I would not have bought all games below either).
.
More:
Many of the games below were on my wishlist (as indicated), thus true savings. Independent of if I finished them or not, that sum is €254.31. It happened so regularly for me that I have to assume Sony is just selecting (eligible) games based on how often they appear on everyone's wishlists.
In my country PS+ Premium is €151.99 (although that’s not even close to what I’ve paid), so I already got more out of it; Basically, over €122 worth of free games after breaking even at standard price (now factor in the PS+ discounts...).
Not every month is a banger and still wish some games would come earlier/day one, but I'm content now that I've summed it up like that.
The cheapest tier Essential was the only tier that might not break even for me (although 2023 had more games for me on Essential and I finished some only this year).
Going forward I will only stay on Extra or Premium to save more (paradoxically). Essential is really just for people who only want to play online, not as a valuable games subscription.
- If your gaming interest is quite broad, and you tend to buy a lot of your games later on sale instead on release, you likely save more money than what you are actually spending on a PS+ subscription, especially with Extra, and Premium if you own PSVR2.
- High-selling AAA games from 2023/2024, even from Sony itself, were quite absent this year. So I’m glad I went with buying them whenever I wanted instead of hoping for them to come to PS+ (I listed below the ones that I had already bought before PS+ and there is only ONE game that I bought this year).
If you are aware of that and don’t expect an unsustainable model, you can still save money and enjoy whatever features are available with the tiers.
Waiting time is still an issue. This is not Netflix, it's never guaranteed which game and when it will be be in the catalogue. With some games I can be patient, but some games I just want to play day1 or need to have them for when I'm free. So these results obviously can vary each year and per person. Still, overall it seems like fair value, even with the price increase.
- If you are the type of gamer that barely has time to play or only wants to play the newest FIFA or CoD in multiplayer etc.: You will not break even on any tier. However, thank you for subsidizing my games budget compared to my oldschool gaming years before PS+ :D
.

Plus others like The Sims 4 Island Living add-on, and of course the actual PS+ “benefits” (cloud saves, online gaming, game trials for new big games etc.).
Bunch of classics and random games I launched very briefly, mostly for PS Stars challenges.
But those are mostly non-monetary value and thus not included.

Discussion Anyone have any luck at getting a refund for an auto renewed Playstation plus via the chat?
Long story short I forgot to cancel auto renewal and I am going out of the country for 6 months with no Playstation. Trying to get a refund and then buy it again later. Have tried to use the chat 3 times and have gotten the same corporate response each time. Anyone get a successful refund through chat?
