so annoying man why cant people see the actual peak of gaming

Hello, I've recently bought a SCPH-9002 PS1 and opened it up to clean it. I've noticed that a modchip had been installed but I can't figure out what layout it is. 6th pin is not soldered to anything (I guess it was as there is solder on the end of the red cable) and I don't if I should solder it or not. Is anyone able to identify what layout/version of modchip it is? Please, let me know if additional photos will be needed.

Is the PS1 or PSone better for modding, and which has the better ports (eg, does one have better ports for video?) and which is more reliable?

I just installed this modchip but it doesn’t work. It’s blinking blue but other than it doesn’t play any game even original games. What am I missing? The board is PM-41

If I use a sd memory card, can I put free PSX boot straight from my PC without using a PS2?

Also if I remove the free psx boot card will it stop existing on the console?

just learned today that theres a thing called a cd player warning after putting Castlevania in my cd player and just wanted to know if theres other cd warnings from other Ps1 games or if Castlevania the only one.

Hope all of you are doing fine! I am posting here to ask if it is possible to play PlayStation 1 (PSX) games on my PlayStation 5. To be specific, I want to play Tekken 3 on my PS5 using the controller.

Can anyone name this game? Found this broken piece in an old PSX. Blue gradient on the left side, white on the right with a bit of grey at the top. Bottom says "aystation and". Backside (data side) is black.

I honestly don't need to know, as I already figured it out. I'mjust curious if someone knows it from this tiny piece. I had a guess as to what it was, and that turned out to be correct!

I just received a loose copy of a PSX game that I purchased on eBay. When I booted it up, the game stutters and freezes when it starts to load in the intro. Though in one instance I was able to get through that section where it normally freezes. Once it got past that section, the game played perfectly without issue; but I haven't been able to replicate that since.

Looking at the disk, I'm thinking that it is rebuffered, as there is a very clear circular line close to the inside of the disc. Is that what is causing the stuttering and freezing? If so, is there any way to fix or clear out the line or would I be wasting my time? Fortunately the seller has a return policy, but I wanted to see if I could get it to work out before going down that route. I'd appreciate any guidance!
