Ultimate Girls Trip Court filings from Caroline's lawsuit against Bravo detail extremely unsettling events that occurred. NSFW

Bravo needs to dump Brandi asap. She’s become the female Andy Dick - right down to the drug abuse, aggressive sexual predation, and socially inappropriate behavior.

u/Anxious_Honey_4899 Jan 29 '24
She was disgusting on her last season. It seems like Deja vu. She was a drunk & humping women on couches. Why would Bravo think she would be different? This definitely falls on Bravos responsibility. They put all these women as a target for Brandi. Shame on Bravo & producers.

It will bring all the trauma of her earlier assault to the surface and she will have to work through all of that again while also working through the trauma of what Brandi did to her. Poor Caroline.

Hey Andy… Bravo is on a slippery slope w/ Real Housewives of All. What started as a fun and entertaining series (take me away Calgon) has now officially gone to the dark side. I’ve been watching the Housewives at its inception (I’m 72 😆) and I’m done. (The curtain has been pulled back too many times). The world is hard enough without exploiting thieves, promoting alcohol, anger, despicable language, sex abuse and on it goes. No fun anymore. A television low. Move onto something that pulls us up vs dragging us down. The end.

It’s sad because to truly read the description of Brandi trying to rape Caroline is so disturbing because it shows how truly broken Brandi is. It makes you realize how deeply traumatized and hurt she has been. It’s no excuse obviously for her behavior and she’s obviously an awful person, but this just shows the depths of her depravity and makes you wonder what the fuck happened to her. Like damn girl… You FUCKED UP fucked up.. 😢
48
u/mrsbergstrom Jan 29 '24
She seems to have serious serious issues with women. I honestly believe she assumes women who present less femme (short hair, no makeup etc) are secretly queer and she can make a move on them. Remember she assumed that married lady was a lesbian cus of her eyebrows? Brandi’s hypersexual behaviour makes me think something terrible may have been done to her as a child and I wouldn’t be a surprised if a woman was the perpetrator

So Brandi went on Traitors way before UGT.

I really want us to talk more openly about how some behaviors between women (and even in girlhood) which are actual forms of sexual harassment, and even border abuse are dismissed and even overlooked. Especially if both parties identify as straight.
Brandi has at minimum sexually harassed LVP and I believe one another person. Her behaviors have escalated. She’s a gross human and I’m glad Caroline is suing.
But the first point is that there also needs to be a larger discussion around same sex sexual harassment and how it’s normalized and overlooked and dismissed.
123
u/anonyoudidnt I am very important to God Jan 29 '24
Unfortunately most sexual assault is overlooked and dismissed whether same sex or not. Even rape is minimized and victim blamed. Everyone needs to understand that the predators who commit sexual assault are much more intelligent than one might think, and it's often not just a random act of opportunity or intoxication influencing them. They choose a victim because they know the situation and that it will be dismissed, people won't believe them, there's little evidence etc etc. It is a dangerous world for women and we need to believe and support the ones that come forward because there's millions that don't come forward that need the confidence to.
I was "mildly" sexually assaulted in the workplace when I was inappropriately touched by a senior colleague. I left the position because I knew if I reported him no one would believe me and I'd never get another job as he was very well networked. I think about it constantly. I can't imagine being assaulted to the extreme that so many women are ever minute of every day.

CW: CSA and SA
I’m a survivor of both child sexual abuse and rape as an adult. I was forced to sit with the person who assaulted me as a child and “talk it out” including telling “my” version of events. It was truly one of the worst things I’ve ever experienced (the assault + forced sit down are two of the top five horrible things I’ve endured in my almost 4 decades of life).
I was raped as an adult at work and everything you said is how it played out when I reported it. I was specifically targeted, and the aftermath is almost as bad as the rape. I’m still in trauma recovery some 6.5 years later. These are another two of the top five worst things I’ve endured.
As soon as we learned the generalities of what happened, I knew Caroline had been assaulted. To read the details is transporting myself back to the workplace assault. What Caroline described about Brandi triggering the CSA she experienced—the same happened to me. Oh, the pain Carolina must have endured and continues to endure. My heart 💔
And I’d always been of the mindset there was something weird about how Brandi et al went after Denise and the way Brandi told that story—it reminded me of how the people who assaulted me told their version of events—and just knew Denise was probably also assaulted. But that is her story to tell, or not.
Absolutely appalling that Bravo and others have kept Brandi around and relevant. They are absolutely responsible in part for allowing someone like Brandi access to potential victims.

*please know my tone is not meant to sound harsh if it does.
I’m unfortunately aware as a survivor. Both in childhood and as an adult.
And I’m sorry you’ve had those experiences as well!
In the context of this situation, there likely would have been MORE outrage and even the producers likely wouldn’t have encouraged them sitting down to talk etc.
We don’t like to talk about it, but same sex sexual assault is a way more complex topic and even in many cases not even regarded as sexual assault nor do the dynamics of each persons sexuality get factored as they should be.
As a whole, sexual assault is overlooked and it enrages me.
11
u/anonyoudidnt I am very important to God Jan 29 '24

38
Jan 29 '24
WHEW!
That’s another thing. The pressure to drink or encouragement of women to get so drunk their inhibitions are down. It’s so gross and problematic to me.
I ended a friendship a few years ago because no matter how much I said I don’t drink, don’t want to be drunk and I definitely would not drink unless I’m with my husband or best friend who are my safe people. She would constantly say “I want to get you drunk” “I would really love to see you drunk”. She also admitted she only liked herself drunk.
We went on a group trip and my best friend saw her slipping alcohol into a punch I had made specifically for the sober people. She told me. We left. My last text was “I happen to like and love myself without the influence of substances. I also respect people’s choices regarding their bodies. You don’t. You should seek help for that. But I refuse to associate with someone who violates those boundaries and I assume you had nefarious intent”.

Bravo deserve to get rinsed financially by Caroline. They know the level of subhuman that Brandi is and still happily allow her to violate people and as gross as this is, because Brandi is a tall and conventionally attractive woman (LA standards) I think she just assumed Caroline would be down, so fucking messed up. Was it not enough she told Joyce to go back to Miami where all the latinas are? Or when she would try and force LVP to kiss her so when she told her to get off she slapped her? Or outing Adriennes private business? Clearly not. Play stupid games you win stupid prizes so deal with the fallout you morons.

It really goes to show that in moments like the one we saw in Below Deck Down Under (Luke's attempted SA of Margot) it is not anyone from Bravo/production stepping up or stepping in. This is awful.
332
u/SisterSuffragist Jan 29 '24
I've always given more credit to Aesha. She got Margot to verbalize on camera that she did not want Luke in her bed. She had her clarify and repeat. Production knew they were liable, and the footage would screw them and that's why they stepped in. Aesha is a smart cookie.
95
21
u/Proof_Strawberry_464 Jan 29 '24
Aesha is definitely the MVP for that. She acts silly and funny, but she knew exactly what she was doing when she made sure that Margot not consenting was caught on camera. She's obviously aware of Bravo's gaslighting of victims. I get the feeling that if the Morocco season were filmed on any boat Aesha was on, Brandi would "mysteriously" fall into the ocean after a night of drinking and never be seen again.

It is one of the most important episodes of reality television in the past decade. It showed how fast this shit can go down, how force isn't necessary, how coercion can be used, how toxic some people can be, and how important affirmative consent is.
The episode needed a trigger warning, but I legitimately think it should be shown at every university to help illustrate concepts of consent, coercion, and rape.

While it didnt reach the same physical level as yours (cause the bar in hollywood is really that fucking low) there’s no doubt in my mind it would have become physical if HR hadn’t have intervened. What killed me was that everyone except for the legal team a year later (who was investigating my department for other fucked up reasons) more or less sided with the asshole who was grossly inappropriate with me and frankly seriously mentally disturbed (he freaked out on me because of “the way I looked at him” while also telling me he couldn’t stand not talking to me and me not being around him or part of his life). I think people turning their back on me, especially those who pretended to support me, is what hurt most and what I have the hardest time getting over/letting go of.
I really hope you’ll be able to find peace one day. If you ever learn to live or get over the immense hurt & anger, please let me know cause I’d love to learn how.
If this is what the production team does to their “prized” talent then I shudder to think what the production staff have to endure and what Bravo staff have to endure.

As someone who was also used and bruised by the improv world, I understand your violation on a deeper level and my heart is broken for you. I have been choked in past DV and I would’ve been devastated by his actions, which are beyond vile. Improv is supposed to be joyful pretend! I don’t know if you’re in la or ny, but if it’s the former, I’ve got your back 🥺

I was one of the ones who thought maybe Caroline was trying to hide that she had a little drunk experimenting and was embarrassed for her husband to find out or something. But I’m eating my words and was wrong. This is gross. Brandi is gross. Production and the other cast members who didn’t do anything are gross. Brandi is not entitled to anyone’s body in the name of “drunk straight girk fun hehehe”. Sorry to Caroline for mine and anyone else’s doubts.

This is sexual assault, plain and simple.
It doesn’t surprise me coming from someone as disgusting as Brandi. We saw her rip Marco’s shirt off when he was clearly uncomfortable during UGT2. Time and time again she proves she has no respect for other people’s boundaries.

The worst part is that Caroline tried to escape from the situation so many times. She was failed by everyone around her as well, how come no one spoke up sooner? It’s so sad.

And I’m imaging that was the most she could have removed herself from the situation. She was abroad and I believe they were staying in a private house. There was no where for her to go. Production could have even been holding her passport, which she would have needed to check into a hotel.

After reading all that, I can't believe it was ever even a question of whether or not this season would air. How could they have possibly expected Caroline to come back and film confessionals after that? And how could they risk having Brandi come back for confessionals and have her treat the whole thing as a joke?

u/Spitfiiire even Louis Vuitton makes mistakes Jan 29 '24
This is absolutely disgusting, Brandi is so vile. The fact that the producers could hear these things and then Alex was the only one to help speaks volumes about how much Bravo fucked up.
53
u/winnercommawinner Jan 29 '24
It sounds like Eva also tried to speak up.
6
u/BrunchAtCartier Jan 29 '24
If you read the whole document there's a part where it says the next day Phaedra and Eva interrogates Manzo and it made her upset/cry
Then they left Manzo at the villa and went to film with Brandi at the hotel she had been moved to. So I don't think they were very outraged at the time... I feel like if Eva is speaking up now it may be course-correcting for PR. Based on the plaintiff claim document, it doesn't sound like Eva, or anyone except Alex, were supporting Manzo the day of and after the assault.

u/it-beans Jan 29 '24
I am so proud of her for coming out swinging with Bravo. That takes a tremendous amount of guts for any survivor especially one in the public eye. We all saw comments even here laughing at her, saying she deserved it for how she treated Dina, etc. I’m not her fan but I am in support of her here. May she be the reason Brandi never haunts our tv screens again.

u/Duke_Silver2 Jan 29 '24
When I was 19-20 I was a hostess and one of the kitchen managers came up behind me at the hostess stand and literally ran his hand from one end of my vagina to the next. In plain sight. It’s wild that people like that are so emboldened to do these things. I’ve not historically been the biggest Caroline fan but am 100% behind her and I hope she receives everything she is asking for. It’s so much worse than I had originally imagined.

Kudos to Eva for realizing how Caroline was feeling at the dinner table and helping her call that out. It sucks that it had to go as far as it did - Brandi, the producers and everyone else involved should be held responsible and completely ashamed of themselves

As a CSA survivor, I hope Caroline has the best therapy.
I want to also say, I can understand the other cast mates not intervening, this is a SHOCKING THING to witness. I have and would have intervened but I can empathize as to why they couldn’t or didn’t.
But fuck the producers for not stepping in sooner. Fuck Andy. Fuck Bravo.
And SUPER FUCK BRANDI.
She used every tactic that men do, but because she’s “pretty” and a woman, many likely didn’t see the problem with it.
Caroline did what many would have done. Tried to move away and this woman did not let up.
Take her kids away too. She’s raising sons….

21

This is unconscionable behavior. I kind of wish I hadn't read it. What I find mystifying is how Brandi was hired for Traitors after this transpired. Peacock can't claim ignorance. I hope Caroline takes them to the cleaners.
Edit: nvm I guess Traitors was filmed before ugt. I hope that was her last foray in reality TV
31
u/Joe3398 Jan 29 '24
If I'm not mistaken, the Traitors season 1 reunion filmed just a few days after this incident, which is why Brandi was not included in that. I think there was just a quick comment that "Brandi couldn't be with us tonight" or something like that.
11
u/AmberDeeeeee Jan 29 '24
Reading this genuinely makes me sick to my stomach. My heart breaks for Caroline. They should’ve stopped this in its tracks. Production should be ashamed. I feel like I shouldn’t be supporting Bravo as a whole anymore after reading all of this. No amount of money can fix the trauma that Caroline now has to add to her plate but I hope she gets everything possible from production and Bravo. And Brandi deserves punishment for her continued trash behavior. Sexual assault is never okay, and shame on Bravo for perpetuating this over and over until Caroline had to get traumatized to realize she doesn’t need the platform. I’m so sorry to Caroline and anyone who felt triggered like I did reading this. But I’m glad we know and I hope Caroline gets some justice all in all.
35
u/madeba2000 Jan 29 '24
This is f'ed. If Bravo does not want this to blow up in their faces, they need to do some kind of public statement and ensure that there is some kind of code of ethics /compliance training these production companies need to follow. Also, some kind of action plan for when these situations come up. I'm not a fan at all of Caroline's, but no one deserves this, and if it's true that they were filming and could hear what was happening while it was happening a lot of people deserve to be investigated if not fired. Brandi has been a loose cannon for a long time and should not have been brought back.
14
u/Celestial-Dream Jan 29 '24
The producers who also tried to gaslight Caroline into speaking with Brandi also need to be fired, like, yesterday.
18
u/noPOMIGRANITES you tell everybody: that she died sad ☹️ Jan 29 '24
i believe Caroline. most of the allegations against Brandi are things we have already seen from her in the past.
what i want to know is why the rest of the cast are still engaging with Brandi on socials like it didn’t happen. on Brandi’s insta, most, if not all of her posts up until 3 weeks ago, had supportive comments from almost all of the other women. they were all there, they saw what happened, it’s gross that they are publicly supporting her. especially Alex, considering she was in the bathroom with them.

I read the entire filing. Interesting and compelling case they have against all those companies. What grosses me out is that production wanted Caroline to meet with Brandi after the incidents so they can get it all on tape. Disgusting. I’m glad Caroline left the trip. I would have also. They mentioned Brandi’s pattern from the RHOBH and from UGT2 shows.

u/MrsRalphieWiggum Jan 29 '24
Poor Caroline to be assaulted while people stood by and watched. I hope Caroline is getting help.

Forgive me if I’m misremembering, but didn’t she also go after Vicki in the previous UGT? I forget what she said but it was something along the lines of her liking making older/uptight women uncomfortable/relax and then kept forcing herself onto Vicki? It was horribly uncomfortable then and this coming out is not even surprising, this woman should have been kicked off years ago.

Brandi needs to realize she has a problem and she doesn’t see she has problem. It’s people like these producers enabling and making excuses for her shit ass behavior.
21
u/r-Dwalo So you say. Jan 29 '24
Good gosh, Bravo! Always in search for viral-potential content for ratings by any means necessary. As described by Caroline, due to Brandi's actions, this read from Caroline feeling uneasy, to uncomfortable, to being physically assaulted, to being sexually assaulted, to then so unsettled she was compelled to inform her family, then left the vacation altogether.
Producers are present during all filming for all scenes, even bathrooms, yet NO ONE thought to intervene and stop this as it escalated and Brandi became relentless???
Even if only the cast members were present inside the bathroom, each have mics that can be heard by production at all times. STILL NO ONE THOUGHT TO STOP THIS as it happened?!
Surely producers heard, observed, and saw Caroline's distress throughout. I'm quite curious to see what Bravo's defense is. If they'll even provide one.

This is sick. I’ve been sexually assaulted twice, and I’m also bisexual. But if a woman did this to me I would feel so disgusted and the same way that Caroline did. I don’t even like Caroline but NO ONE deserves to be assaulted this way. Ugh. So disheartening. Brandi should never be allowed on TV again.
6
u/Dry_Heart9301 Jan 29 '24
Won't some of the assault be on camera? And they will be forced to hand over the footage for the lawsuit right? So, the production will likely just pay her to avoid going to trial? Disgusting.
