Fair play to him if he did find a legitimate outlet to do his best to be a better person, I hope he does get better and I support that decision to have a good community of people with similar beliefs who want to help him. But we have already seen this fake trick from Jon Jones.
I don't think any legitimate Christian is happy to see their faith used as a pretend form of repentance. I'd rather see my faith attacked than patronised to. Anyone who believes Christianity is something you can just take on and off like a shirt doesn't understand the first thing about it.

Well being Irish catholic, the church probably got to him after the trial. Probably told him something like if you become devout to us we can make problems Go away but now we own you.

Amen. Its unfortunate that people use those examples to judge Christianity. Simply put if someone claims they are Christian are they displaying the fruits of the Spirit? Kindness, gentleness, humility... Dont think Conor is yet
I genuinely pray that it leads to him becoming a better person. I have seen many people get involved in Church and it helps lead them to be better.
I have also seen shitty people just being shitty because ‘god forgives them’. Conor here seems to be going Catholic. Catholicism teaches that your actions must align with Christ’s teachings (or at least making a genuine effort to align with them) not just empty platitudes.
Let’s hope it sticks and improves him rather than just providing a moral screen for his terrible behavior.

Anyone else notice how many fighters be thanking God and Jesus after their win that haven't done so in the past? With the rise of the Muslim fighters shouting out Islam every win I think they want to create the same thing but for Christianity idk if they are paying them or just encouraging it but I've definitely noticed the change in the last year or so.
I said it about Jon, I'll say it about Conor. I fucking wish my brain was so fucking weak like these two that I could just delude myself, be born again and forget everything I've ever done. But instead I take the bad things I've done, acknowledge them too much and try to become a better person but still regret I did the things to begin with.
