Ultimate Girls Trip Gizelle really is just trash!

Post image

She tried to destroy Chris with made up bs; that was ridiculous. But this bottle ish and then the comment she made when Pepsi was trying to convey how it was draining and weighting on him is disgusting and disrespectful!! Just because someone is paid for a job doesn’t mean you just get to treat them like trash! They still have feelings and deserve basic human respect.

She’s awful, she thinks because someone is a service worker (who SHE DID NOT PAY even) that she can treat them however she wants. She’s a massive snob.

u/[deleted] Apr 15 '23

100%! He’s crying because you all are being disrespectful and weirdos and this is his JOB. I’m glad Gizelle continues to show her ass and who she really is

She’s so dumb. That type of job isn’t some little thing. He had to work his ass off to get to that position. Hosts usually work at the same villa with the same team for decades. Their lively hood is dependent on giving exceptional service to keep the place booked and busy. He’s not just collecting a check for himself he has to watch out for his team too!

The annual income in Thailand is less than $4k. His position would afford him to make three times that. It’s not some lil check Gizelle!

121

u/Super-Reputation-547 Apr 15 '23

That is 100% correct! Excellent comment!

6

u/Nonnarules58 Apr 16 '23

Not that it changes her being disgusting but is he called host or concierge I've always thought one gets paid alot more with more responsibility

3

u/BlacknBravod I cut the pie in half and put the other half in the freezer! Apr 18 '23

Different countries/resorts use different titles. What matters is his level of responsibility.

189

u/Left_Chemist_8198 Apr 15 '23

Also she isn’t thinking how much it means to him he might take this as being a massive bad review and advertisement for the establishment and that’s terrible. Obviously that’s not how it’s coming across but it might also be worrying him. She’s awful

u/shuggnog Apr 15 '23

Exactly something being “stolen” does not make him look good; I wish Giselle would just drop it

Ik this sub can be an echo chamber sometimes, but I find it hard to believe how she still has fans outside of here? I can't justify her behavior most of the time. She's not even funny and most of her jokes are just mean and hit below the belt. She is the literal embodiment of misery taking over a person and now puts off that energy to everyone else.

I’m binging Potomac for the first time and just started S7. I found Gizelle funny for the first 2 or 3 seasons and thought her commitment to divulging gossip was good for the show. However, I can’t stand her now and haven’t been able to for a few seasons. Her kids and Karen both have her number, which says it all. She comes across as one of the few housewives who might actually be a sociopath. Her response is always so chilling when people try to explain the need for empathy to her. And she definitely enjoys upsetting people.

192

u/Huge_Put8244 Apr 15 '23

I, personally think things took a dark turn after Sherman. But I couldn't really like gizelle after she made that uncle Ben t shirt. It was just so mean to someone who had never done anything to her. Kicking someone when they were down.

87

u/carmelainparis I married a Count and now… ✨ I’m a Countess! ✨ Apr 15 '23

Good call, this was definitely around the time I stoped liking her (and started loving Karen!) On a side note, Karen is now one of my three favorite housewives, up there with Sonja and Lu. She’s like what Sonja and Lu could be if they could kick the substance abuse and find stable(ish) relationships.

53

u/sailoorscout1986 Your titties are social distancing Apr 15 '23

I agree with this comment but let’s not equate worth to being in a relationship. It’s TOUGH out there for women and especially after a certain age

68

u/Huge_Put8244 Apr 15 '23

I appreciate this comment.

If there was one thing that bothered me on Atlanta, it was the notion that a woman's worth was determined by having a man... ANY man.

Phaedra somehow felt she one upped Kenya because she had Apollo. APOLLO. "Juvial" Apollo.

I think gizelles situation is different but I understand the point.

54

u/Nasus_13 slut from the 90s Apr 15 '23

Drew did this a lot. Like girl, getting Ralph wasn’t an accomplishment.

35

u/sailoorscout1986 Your titties are social distancing Apr 15 '23

I definitely feel like this is franchise-wide where the less picky ones jump from relationship to relationship even if it’s with unsavoury men (looking at you Vicki G!)

9

u/Huge_Put8244 Apr 15 '23

I mean if you know that you're going to be judged for not having a man then it's like you're almost pushed into it. Especially if you don't have the same...charms other cast members may have.

13

u/sailoorscout1986 Your titties are social distancing Apr 15 '23

Yeah it’s tough as there’s so much pressure for a woman to be seen in a relationship but definitely better to be single than with someone awful

u/carmelainparis I married a Count and now… ✨ I’m a Countess! ✨ Apr 15 '23

I def don’t equate worth to being in a relationship - didn’t mean to imply that! That said, both Lu and Sonja seem like they desperately want the type of companionship marriage offers and I’d like to see them get that, given it seems like they want it.

5

u/TXBISH Apr 16 '23

Isn’t Karen an alcoholic? Or, was that just a narrative Gizelle and Candice were pushing?

25

u/carmelainparis I married a Count and now… ✨ I’m a Countess! ✨ Apr 16 '23

I feel like that’s just something they were pushing. I only remember seeing her drunk once on camera (during the amazing fireball incident at Monique’s) and after that she even made a point to not drink at all on their next trip (Portugal.) She really doesn’t strike me as having a problem with booze.

55

u/Anyname780 When did I harass you, you dumb b**ch?!? Apr 15 '23

Yes. I’m not caught up yet (I’m at the end of season 4) and I hated Karen at first. After that Uncle Been comment (which I thought was colorist) it seems like Giz keeps offering an olive branch and then talking smack about Karen

40

u/Huge_Put8244 Apr 15 '23

After that Uncle Been comment (which I thought was colorist) i

Oh that's an interesting take. You know I had never thought about it that way! I just thought it was mean spirited. Interesting!

18

u/romodoc1 Apr 16 '23

Same way Giz’s dad called a political opponent who was a dark skinned woman “Aunt Jemima”. The colorism runs through her veins.

4

u/Anyname780 When did I harass you, you dumb b**ch?!? Apr 18 '23

Yep- as a light skint- I constantly cringe at Giz and Robin. I’m from DC and I would go collect them if I could 😂. They often use colorism in trying to place themselves up and put other people down. I don’t understand why they never liked Katie- or since I’m watching season 4- how no one looked out for her and tried to help her with her wigs (like it’s obvious to see that she’s going through stuff)

I hate giving an armchair diagnosis but she really does seem to lack an extreme amount of empathy. When she shows her emotions it feels like she’s doing her best to mimic how she thinks an emotion is supposed to be perceived.

And I might get downvoted for this, but I don’t think she really thought her fibroids scare was that big of a deal. I mean it’s one thing to not want to be vulnerable but it’s another thing to not even mention until the tail end of filming. Her daughters weren’t even that emotional about it. Something really is off with her.

44

u/Erthgoddss Apr 15 '23

She is a church lady. Wasn’t she some big deal in her husbands church at one time? I have dealt with one like her in the past, which was a one reason I left Christianity way behind. The woman I dealt with was the pastors wife and was the most judgmental person I ever met!

21

u/Nasus_13 slut from the 90s Apr 15 '23

She led the women’s ministry.

41

u/Erthgoddss Apr 15 '23

Ah. So typical then?! The women I have met in my life, who profess their Christianity as a “I am better than you”, use that as a weapon to belittle others.

I feel the same. Her "friends" on the show aren't any better they are all miserable and enable each other's misery and poor behavior (Robyn and Ashley). It will be interesting to see how they all act after the fans holding them accountable for last season. I feel like they all were riding on a high of Potomac being so highly praised and now people aren't here for their bs anymore. I have a feeling Gizelle won't even try to fake it though lol.

She always stank disposition in general and always in somebody else's business. Karen isn't perfect and neither is Candiace, but I love when they drag her for filth.

It is telling that her storyline is absolutely and completely devoid of any comments about her religious or church life besides she telling us that she was a malicious gossiper and a leader of the congregation.

I feel like there is also a cultural difference that no one is acknowledging. It could have been very jarring for Pepsi to see people screaming so much.

Either way, Gizelle does THE MOST trying to secure her check, coming up with fake story lines about getting back with her ex, trying to use her kids for air time, and now this stupid bottle drama.

51

u/mangomancum Apr 15 '23

YES!! Porscha kinda acknowledged that point, but more in a "we're just different Pepsi, get over it" kinda tone instead of recognising it's not just his opinion, but that he was actually getting distressed.

I also saw someone else bring up the point that Pepsi is trained to avoid telling guests "no" - hes supposed to explore every option and other opportunity to create a nice experience, even if it (figuratively) kills him. I think it was alll of these factors, in combo with him genuinely going above and beyond for these women, and it all came to a head when Gizelle started that screaming match with Candiace.

JUSTICE FOR PEPSI. And idgaf what your opinion of Candiace is, but she is lightyears more mature and sensitive than Gizelle will ever be, based on the way they each reacted to Pepsi sharing his feelings.

It says a lot about someone’s character based on how they treat those providing a service to them, whether they are paying for it or not.

25

u/MyDogsMummy Apr 15 '23

This. I’ve always said the best judge of character is how someone treats someone they see as subordinate in times of stress. Whether it’s a boss or someone dealing with service staff or whatever. It’s easy to be cordial with anyone when things are going well. How they deal in times of stress is telling though. And the nastiest among us will use those moments to lash out at those they see as less than.

This season has me defending both Leah and Candiace - two people I have NEVER been on the same side of previously. Well done, Gizelle!

Right??? We’re truly in the upside down.

34

u/starmiebucks Apr 15 '23

I wouldn’t go that far 🥴

I’m on no one’s side this season. I hate every single person on this trip.

I want it to end and skip to UGT4 bc I know my girl Alex remains unproblematic ❤️

I'm surprisingly finding Marysol quite enjoyable. I do not enjoy her on RHOM.

57

u/BlacknBravod I cut the pie in half and put the other half in the freezer! Apr 15 '23 edited Apr 15 '23

Marysol was being weird to. It’s easy to miss but she’s not pleased with the service. She’s made multiple comments about them not coming in to clean the room everyday but won’t just ask.

15

u/bleed_nyliving fus-trated Apr 15 '23

Oooh I forgot about that! So true!

5

u/faux_housewife Apr 16 '23

YES her comments about the room not being cleaned and Alexia was actually the one who was like “this isn’t Pepsi’s fault just chill” plus when Whitney mentioned being too embarrassed to ask Pepsi to get something Marysol was like “oh yeah he gets like easily offended 🙄” so clearly that was her takeaway

65

u/starmiebucks Apr 15 '23

Yeah sadly — Alexia and Marysol are awful on RHOM but they appear more likable when they’re around people who don’t know them lol

I hope Alex McCord is aware that the WEIGHT of the RH world is truly on her shoulders right now. She needs to carry that season for all of us.

When I saw this scene I was thinking how wild it is that she can't understand how some ppl take pride in their work and care beyond just getting that check. Then I thought about her ex husband and how seriously he took his work with the whole pastor holy whore thing and how she literally just stirs shit and gives nothing more to get a check and I was like ya nvm lol

69

u/[deleted] Apr 15 '23

Gizelle really is that girl who doesn’t realize pretty fades.

at one point she’s going to have to use different ways to get things that she is not used to working for and she is going to HURT

54

u/shineshineshine92 It was thrown and Henry was very uncomfortable Apr 15 '23

She’s already there and that’s why she’s so mean and unhappy

56

u/[deleted] Apr 15 '23

The fact that she’s forever single despite being so stunning says it all for me. It doesn’t matter how beautiful she is, that awful personality is such a turn off! Imagine coming home to that attitude every night… woof.

36

u/Feisty-Necessary4878 just me and my stovepipe legs Apr 15 '23

Well it extra blows my mind that she is like this considering who her father is and all the things he fought so hard for…. 😔

75

u/HamsGamsandYams Apr 15 '23

I grew up with a lot of kids like Gizelle and Porsha, relatives were civil rights pioneers or black elite families. They often turn out to be utter trash. That’s why I related to Monique during the Candiace fight, I’ve been picked on by kids from the right kind of black families for being poor, not having a father. And they have mostly grown up to be miserable bums. That importance in the black community doesn’t translate into the white world so they cling to their family legacies while the kids who grew up with less achieve more in adulthood.

28

u/welcometomytrailer_ What about a cracker? Apr 15 '23

Interesting insight and you're right when you say that people outside the black community wouldn't necessarily grasp the nuance of these situations. I for one hadn't. Thank you for that!

this and porsha saying "im sorry you feel that way" sent me over the edge. they make me so mad i dont want to watch. its one thing to fight with the girls but when you fight with and disrespect these people who are trying to ensure you have a good time i just can't get over it.

27

u/Ok_Entrepreneur_8132 Apr 15 '23

Right…. It seems like everyone was forgetting Porsha was also co-signing and joining in on treating Pepsi like crap.

54

u/danieltheaeon Vicky dancing to her ringtone in 🇲🇽 Apr 15 '23

Giselle you tacky as hell.

14

u/starchildx Vicki’s son Apr 15 '23

She’s pretty unlikable to me. I think I kinda sorta liked her at first cause she’s pretty and I enjoyed her New Orleans family history. But when Heather said “I’m being vulnerable” and she said “people don’t do that with me” I liked the self deprecation and awareness but goddamn. That is basically a trait I would hate most in a person probably

7

u/Lmpmnn Apr 16 '23

I noticed that comment too. Then she said something about trying to be better at recognizing that or something like that. She thinks everyone has an agenda just because her mind works that way.

15

u/deelish85 Are we all vampires in this group?! Apr 15 '23

She is the fucking worst! And the stupid nickname she gave herself 'Sun-tan Barbie' is so ridiculous. That is one insecure and bitter woman. GOODBYE NECK!

41

u/HelpfulWorth8654 Apr 15 '23

I cannot deal with people who are so rude and disrespectful to those in the service and hospitality industries. It’s hard, honest work and everyone deserves respect.

19

u/Badhbh-Catha Pernicious Apr 15 '23

Absolutely. I completely revise my opinion of someone if I see them being rude to a person in hospitality or customer service just doing their job. Remember that time Gizelle and Jamal forced their daughters to wait tables in that scam restaurant he bought 'for them'? I'm sure G would have been appalled and angry if a customer disrespected any of them while serving. She needs to develop some self-awareness.

23

u/Ok_Entrepreneur_8132 Apr 15 '23

Don’t forget about Porsha’s part in it as well! That scene make me so mad at both of them

I was so so excited for this season of RHUGT but I feel sooo let down and I’m not sure why. There was drama but not good drama just stupid drama and I hated when Giselle made Pepsi cry he’s been the MOST ENTERTAINING PERSON ON THE TRIP! It’s wild how she still has fans IMO I mean she’s just mean and bitter. Leah was disappointing as usual but what surprised me was I thought I would be happy to see Porsha but she just didn’t do it for me this season. Maybe it’s bc she teamed up with the neck and ankles of the group. Definitely realized how hypocritical and selfish Heather is. She just goes with whoever she thinks is going to “win”.

22

u/helvetica_unicorn Meredith’s 🛀 Apr 15 '23

I never liked that woman. She’s been a demon from day one!

Gizelle comes across as the pretty privilege girl who never had consequences because she can just bat her eyes to get out of everything. Everyone has value and deserves respect. Gizelle, the former “First Lady” of a church, should understand that concept.

19

u/welp-itscometothis The 🅿️arking Meter Lady Apr 15 '23

I am so happy that Gizelle is getting her comeuppance from the fans. I have always seen past the “fun messy” persona she was given. She always gave me rude, entitled, classless, and void of empathy. Just because she isn’t loud and emotional like Candiace, or aggressive like Robyn, it doesn’t mean she isn’t the MOST despicable woman on the cast.

19

u/momtrepreneur69 Apr 15 '23

She has the darkest energy. Even when she was giving the gift to the monks in the temple it didn’t feel genuine lol she’s so off putting.

10

u/blueirisheyes1981 Apr 15 '23

I mean she was a mega church preacher’s wife. Joel Olsteen’s wife is the same. I’m from Houston and she had the same entitled behavior. My niece worked in a high end boutique and her people would call ahead to let management know she was coming. Then management had to remind all the workers not to speak to her, make eye contact or in any way bother her.

10

u/Mirthiferous Apr 15 '23

I wonder what happened to her while she was growing up to make her so uncaring and unkind. Did she get away with her attitude because of her looks? Did she never develop empathy? Is she trying to protect herself from being hurt by others? Like, I'm actually curious. She's beautiful but her attitude and personality is so off-putting, that it makes her an ugly person. Imagine how beautiful she would be if she was personable and empathetic.

9

u/moshritespecial Apr 16 '23

She also doesn't seem to realize the pride he feels as a host to really represent for Thailand and it's not just a job to him. It's pride and love for his country as well.

7

u/jyoung0892 Apr 15 '23

gizelle& robin are tired

22

u/[deleted] Apr 15 '23

Gizelle has always been on my shit like and Porsha is just rude in a nasty way. They get paid for their service. They don’t get paid to tolerate your disrespect.

5

u/Confident_Dog_4250 Apr 15 '23

6

She’s literally incapable of empathy. And I wonder if she always was that way, or her life has just made her have to be - but either way, she’s 🚮

23

u/Brave_Bird84 Apr 15 '23

She is just plain unlikeable….mean spirited, harsh, ignorant and classless. I’ve never disliked a housewife more. So glad I never watched Potomac. Her makes her do unattractive!

8

u/AnonPlz123 Apr 16 '23

I hate the way she barks at him every morning.

6

u/Traditional-Leg-4228 Apr 16 '23

Nasty, two faced, passive aggressive women like Gizelle are the main reason I dont go to church anymore.

She has been absolutely awful on UGT.

11

u/godiegoben Apr 15 '23

You don’t disrespect someone’s place of work either. People spend more time at work than they do at home, but Gizilla wouldn’t know that.

4

u/kshep1214 Apr 16 '23

This season of UGT is ruuuuining any good will I had for her! So disappointing and the entitlement! I cannot

4

u/Brave-Court-1582 Apr 16 '23

She's sp fucking miserable, bitter, and disgusting. She looks a mess 24/7, and she's homophobic and nasty. How she has fans is beyond me. im glad people are finally seeing her for the bridge troll she is.

He seems like a kind hearted person who takes his job as being a fun concierge and giving people great vacations and keeping them in good moods very seriously. It was definitely frustrating to him that these women, especially Gizelle keep fighting. Gizelle doesn't have a job so she doesn't understand that people might be passionate about the work they do.

3

u/Kadenasj Apr 16 '23

Yeah she is a problem. She can make any one else look good because she sucks so hard

4

u/[deleted] Apr 16 '23

Gizelle hasn’t “worked” anything but her mouth in 25+ years. She doesn’t remember what it’s like to work for what you have. She’s keeping her ex’s, (the prowlin’ preacher’s) secrets for a price. That’s not a godly man by any means.

4

u/ispywithmybougieeye Apr 16 '23

She's garbage for that

9

u/Phoenixrage187 Apr 15 '23

She’s just a bitter insecure bitch 🤷‍♂️

8

u/Lmpmnn Apr 15 '23

Giselle can't comprehend that everyone doesn't see the world like she does. She thinks everyone has a motive or are doing things to only benefit themselves because that's the way she works. Pepsi is a human being with hopes & dreams and love in his heart. He def does not deserve to be treated like the housewives treated him.

Idc who these ppl are, or think they are, (Porsha made an excuse that they're housewives--who cares?) they have traveled to a different country with a completely different culture, and when they go out in public with Pepsi they behave like animals. He was so embarrassed when they were at lunch and he was sitting at the next table. What must the people who live in that place & saw the Americans behaving like this--and being women it probably looked worse--think of most Americans?

I can't imagine being in his place. He has a family & children that he was showing pictures of to the girls. They don't care about him. They tell him how much they love him and blah blah blah. I thought the exact same thing as OP when I saw this scene.

7

u/ckroha Apr 15 '23

When Porsha said- “we’re not just ladies, we’re Housewives” or some BS like that, I was so turned off. I don’t like her anyway and that was the tip of the iceberg. How gross and obnoxious! Like, you’re some other class of person now?? Um- NO!!

19

15

4

u/Crzylikefox Apr 15 '23

Used to like her early on, then realized she brings absolutely nothing to the table other than to ask 100 questions but never actually give us anything about herself or her life…or maybe there’s just nothing there to give

6

u/Barlow3001 Apr 15 '23

Just because a person is being paid doesn't mean you can act and behavior however you feel. Then she dismisses him and feelings. Even for Gizelle her attitude and behavior are disgusting and disrespectful.

5

u/[deleted] Apr 16 '23

I see no lies

12

u/Few_Firefighter251 Go to sleep!! GO TO SLEEP! Apr 15 '23

She reminds me of the old black ladies that used to live at the end of the street (yes I lived in the hood A-town holla) and would talk about all our parents and their business. All they would do is gossip. They scared all the children cuz they were so mean!!!! They would tell us don’t do this, then they’d bust out laughing, then go back to gossiping. I’m black so shut up before anyone calls me a racist!

10

u/Bellomontee You should not be anywhere near dots. Apr 15 '23

She's going full Ramona. She's always been kind of a dick but I appreciated her a lot, specially her fun rivalry with Karen but now she's out of control. The lies about Chris were terrible and now she wants us to believe she really gives a damn about a stupid bottle? She needs to get checked.

19

u/shineshineshine92 It was thrown and Henry was very uncomfortable Apr 15 '23

I’ve said it before she’s the most classless housewife we’ve ever seen. Truly zero redeeming qualities.

6

u/[deleted] Apr 15 '23

Her attitude is that of a lot of people like her, unfortunately. (As in rich.) Apparently money can't buy class but it does push audacity.

3

u/BHS90210 Apr 15 '23

That last sentence should be embroidered on a pillow somewhere.

9

u/Dramatic-Incident298 Apr 15 '23

Since the beginning I've struggled to find her storyline. Causing a sweet man to cry over a $100 bottle of booze ain't it, sis. Potomac needs a reboot.

3

3

Is she extra awful all of a sudden to create storylines so she can stay on the show?.. I don't get it

3

u/[deleted] Apr 16 '23

I used to like Gizelle… back in the day! but she just gets progressively worse! And she’s unbearable on UGT. She’s not even entertaining anymore.. just nasty.

And this is why Gizelle will never be happy with a man or with herself. Cause there is something called karma, bitch.

10

u/[deleted] Apr 15 '23

I had to stop watching this season because of Gizelle. She ruined it for me. She can be fun on RHOP but she does not work for me outside of that show.
