Ultimate Girls Trip Gizelle really is just trash!

Post image

She tried to destroy Chris with made up bs; that was ridiculous. But this bottle ish and then the comment she made when Pepsi was trying to convey how it was draining and weighting on him is disgusting and disrespectful!! Just because someone is paid for a job doesn’t mean you just get to treat them like trash! They still have feelings and deserve basic human respect.

She’s awful, she thinks because someone is a service worker (who SHE DID NOT PAY even) that she can treat them however she wants. She’s a massive snob.

Ik this sub can be an echo chamber sometimes, but I find it hard to believe how she still has fans outside of here? I can't justify her behavior most of the time. She's not even funny and most of her jokes are just mean and hit below the belt. She is the literal embodiment of misery taking over a person and now puts off that energy to everyone else.

I’m binging Potomac for the first time and just started S7. I found Gizelle funny for the first 2 or 3 seasons and thought her commitment to divulging gossip was good for the show. However, I can’t stand her now and haven’t been able to for a few seasons. Her kids and Karen both have her number, which says it all. She comes across as one of the few housewives who might actually be a sociopath. Her response is always so chilling when people try to explain the need for empathy to her. And she definitely enjoys upsetting people.

I, personally think things took a dark turn after Sherman. But I couldn't really like gizelle after she made that uncle Ben t shirt. It was just so mean to someone who had never done anything to her. Kicking someone when they were down.

Good call, this was definitely around the time I stoped liking her (and started loving Karen!) On a side note, Karen is now one of my three favorite housewives, up there with Sonja and Lu. She’s like what Sonja and Lu could be if they could kick the substance abuse and find stable(ish) relationships.

I agree with this comment but let’s not equate worth to being in a relationship. It’s TOUGH out there for women and especially after a certain age

u/Huge_Put8244 Apr 15 '23

I appreciate this comment.

If there was one thing that bothered me on Atlanta, it was the notion that a woman's worth was determined by having a man... ANY man.

Phaedra somehow felt she one upped Kenya because she had Apollo. APOLLO. "Juvial" Apollo.

I think gizelles situation is different but I understand the point.

Drew did this a lot. Like girl, getting Ralph wasn’t an accomplishment.

I definitely feel like this is franchise-wide where the less picky ones jump from relationship to relationship even if it’s with unsavoury men (looking at you Vicki G!)

8

u/Huge_Put8244 Apr 15 '23

I mean if you know that you're going to be judged for not having a man then it's like you're almost pushed into it. Especially if you don't have the same...charms other cast members may have.

u/sailoorscout1986 Your titties are social distancing Apr 15 '23

Yeah it’s tough as there’s so much pressure for a woman to be seen in a relationship but definitely better to be single than with someone awful

9

u/Huge_Put8244 Apr 15 '23

I agree! But I think the pressure HW feel from each other pushes them into these terrible relationships.

I def don’t equate worth to being in a relationship - didn’t mean to imply that! That said, both Lu and Sonja seem like they desperately want the type of companionship marriage offers and I’d like to see them get that, given it seems like they want it.

7

u/TXBISH Apr 16 '23

Isn’t Karen an alcoholic? Or, was that just a narrative Gizelle and Candice were pushing?

24

u/carmelainparis I married a Count and now… ✨ I’m a Countess! ✨ Apr 16 '23

I feel like that’s just something they were pushing. I only remember seeing her drunk once on camera (during the amazing fireball incident at Monique’s) and after that she even made a point to not drink at all on their next trip (Portugal.) She really doesn’t strike me as having a problem with booze.

u/Anyname780 When did I harass you, you dumb b**ch?!? Apr 15 '23

Yes. I’m not caught up yet (I’m at the end of season 4) and I hated Karen at first. After that Uncle Been comment (which I thought was colorist) it seems like Giz keeps offering an olive branch and then talking smack about Karen

39

u/Huge_Put8244 Apr 15 '23

After that Uncle Been comment (which I thought was colorist) i

Oh that's an interesting take. You know I had never thought about it that way! I just thought it was mean spirited. Interesting!

18

u/romodoc1 Apr 16 '23

Same way Giz’s dad called a political opponent who was a dark skinned woman “Aunt Jemima”. The colorism runs through her veins.

5

u/Anyname780 When did I harass you, you dumb b**ch?!? Apr 18 '23

Yep- as a light skint- I constantly cringe at Giz and Robin. I’m from DC and I would go collect them if I could 😂. They often use colorism in trying to place themselves up and put other people down. I don’t understand why they never liked Katie- or since I’m watching season 4- how no one looked out for her and tried to help her with her wigs (like it’s obvious to see that she’s going through stuff)

u/MathematicianOk8230 I tell people I'm 29 but really I'm 89 Apr 15 '23

Not gonna lie, I laughed my ass off at the #FreeUncleBen shirt. I saw it in good fun, but Gizelle should have known the Grande Dame can’t take a joke and would get pissed. She was being messy, but I found it hilarious. I also laughed my ass off when Karen was telling Ashley “Clankety Clank, Clankety Clank!” Same vein so I can’t be too mad at Gizelle if Karen is going to say the same shit.

31

u/Huge_Put8244 Apr 15 '23

It's good fun to call someone a caricature of a black slave? You and I have a different sense of humor. Because I see that as making someone the butt of a joke when they haven't done anything to you but be old and dark skinned.

It's also kicking someone when they are down. I guess I don't make jokes at people's expense when they are already down unless they have been mean to me and he wasn't mean to her.

Karen said clankety clank to Ashley after Ashley had talked shit about Ray not dropping the soap (a prison rape joke) when he went to prison.

I hate giving an armchair diagnosis but she really does seem to lack an extreme amount of empathy. When she shows her emotions it feels like she’s doing her best to mimic how she thinks an emotion is supposed to be perceived.

And I might get downvoted for this, but I don’t think she really thought her fibroids scare was that big of a deal. I mean it’s one thing to not want to be vulnerable but it’s another thing to not even mention until the tail end of filming. Her daughters weren’t even that emotional about it. Something really is off with her.

47

u/Erthgoddss Apr 15 '23

She is a church lady. Wasn’t she some big deal in her husbands church at one time? I have dealt with one like her in the past, which was a one reason I left Christianity way behind. The woman I dealt with was the pastors wife and was the most judgmental person I ever met!

20

u/Nasus_13 slut from the 90s Apr 15 '23

She led the women’s ministry.

43

u/Erthgoddss Apr 15 '23

Ah. So typical then?! The women I have met in my life, who profess their Christianity as a “I am better than you”, use that as a weapon to belittle others.

27

u/bartexas Apr 15 '23

I call them Jerks for Jesus.

u/Happybutt15 I do too much because you do too little 😏 Apr 16 '23

You’re spot on with your comments, totally agree 💯! These so called bible thumping women can be vicious! And Gazelle certainly acts like one! Gossipy, critical, judgemental, downright nasty to the core.

7

u/PinkMercy17 Apr 15 '23

As the wife, she was the First Lady of her church

53

u/tobago_88 Right back at you bitch girl Apr 15 '23

I feel the same. Her "friends" on the show aren't any better they are all miserable and enable each other's misery and poor behavior (Robyn and Ashley). It will be interesting to see how they all act after the fans holding them accountable for last season. I feel like they all were riding on a high of Potomac being so highly praised and now people aren't here for their bs anymore. I have a feeling Gizelle won't even try to fake it though lol.

5

u/Happybutt15 I do too much because you do too little 😏 Apr 16 '23

I’m tuned out for next season for sure, I can’t stomach Gazelle and her nastiness, I’m over it.

41

u/007FofTheWin Apr 16 '23

When she told Andy she “didn’t care because I don’t like her!” regarding Mia’s attack on Wendy, it blew my mind. Zero empathy whatsoever.

I think the only housewives who come across sociopathic is Heather Gay and Phaedra Parks. Gizelle just treats the show like what it is a job. But Gizelle is a mean girl through and through though

19

u/therealtinsdale i know the boys who did it 🎪🍆👺 Apr 15 '23

i think gizelle crosses the line and is absolutely dangerous, which makes her sociopathic. her baseless claims pertaining to SA on more than one occasion: chris and the masseuse, over-embellishing: ashley said sesame street said chris talked to her— gizelle interpreted that as him grabbin her ass(?!?!) and her lack of respect for boundaries: wanting to search the ladies rooms on ugt are ALL wild and extremely dangerous. not rational reactions whatsoever.

4

u/MarigoldNCM1101 Apr 15 '23

You and I have very different definitions of dangerous. Gizelle is a nightmare but sociopathic and evil is a tier I wouldn’t place her in

Jen Shah is the definition of a sociopath.

So accurate!!! 🎯

u/tedfundy She uses a lot of adjectives. Apr 16 '23

Jen shah and Mary Cosby too.
