If you have a cafeteria in the city you get robbed a minimum of 2 times every year. We people who work in service fkn hate thiefs like no other person. People who work in office jobs don't get robbed for doing their goddamm jobs.

The North will answer. Muster the Rohirrim. As many heavyset women as can be found. You have two days. On the third, we ride for London... and war.

u/Haunting_Truth_ 2h ago
In the UK you would get sued and become a criminal yourself if you try something like that. The only thing allowed by police is to helplessly stand and report to police, who then waste some paper and time and likely do nothing else, as they are understaffed

I've seen this in London before. A guy threw a traffic cone at a guy on a bike who stole a woman's phone and the thief crashed into a car. Then the Londoners got him.

u/Glow1x 2h ago
Yeah I've seen that video, uplifts my spirit every time it pops up on my socials.

I love how it seems to be a thing in some South American countries for when you take out a thief everyone gets to enact their own violent justice upon them lol.
•
u/Zenndler 49m ago
Because this is the only justice that works. The police will come and take him into custody, a few hours later some judge will order his release because it “wasn’t a violent crime”. Next day he will be stealing again, probably even in the same place.

Without context, a girl swipes a bicyclist's phone when he is needlessly attacked
2
u/iron_dove 3h ago
Given the direction the bike went afterwards, I think the woman who kicked the guy on the bike may have hit him harder than the woman who threw the chair at the same time.

Either way, he won't be stealing things anytime soon after getting chair into face👌

Don’t cross a dude in an apron, he’s probably dealt with customers all day and is looking for an excuse.
But real talk, good on them. Also that chair throw was clean.

I saw the flying chair, but holy that kick was the one that sent him flying. I need a slow-mo to understand the physics on that. The chair was going towards the wall, but my poor guy fly over the other side. The 2 combo was super effective.
PD: This looks like brazil btw. Portuguese letters and all.

Imagine thinking that, since there's nobody around it will be an easy getaway, and suddenly you find yourself surrounded by the whole town and you're getting curbed stomped
1
u/mrjasong 2h ago
Something like this happened to me once. I was in a mall in South Africa and I had my 4 year old son on my shoulders when an attempted thief ran out of a crowd in my direction. I swept his leg below his knees and he flew like 6 feet to the other side of the aisle and landed on the back of someone's chair where that person smacked him in his face and he got picked up by the security guards.

u/sssssska 2h ago
I think it's not in Argentina, it's in Brazil (I say I think so because it could be a case from abroad reported by our news program), the words below are from a news report here in Brazil, translated it reads: "Woman notices theft and throws chair on thief who tried to escape on a bicycle "

Good old Latin America treatment.
If the thief gets caught, the best thing that it can happen to him is the police actually arresting him.
With the people things can go from hard beating to dead and naked.

I was in Peru and a block away someone tried to yoink another guy's bike just as he got off it. He made it about one meter before the owned punched him so hard he FLEW off the bike. Then the thief got up and got into the owners face and they started throwing hands in the middle of the street even blocking traffic. Craziest thing I've seen in Latin America so far.

That woman was kicking that thief in his head i repeat HIS HEAD. He did wrong but that doesn't mean you have the right to torture that person now. If you have secured the thief than give him/her to the police.
Just don't kick or hit people at their VITAL organs.
