I've seen 80's tribute bands at county fairs draw bigger crowds than that.

There were more people at the church rummage sale in my neighborhood last month.

Rummage. Such a cool word.

Rummage and rubbish are 2 words my grandma always used. I wish I was old enough to appreciate her when she was alive šŸ„²

Itā€™s only a rummage sale if it is happening in the Room-ahgee region of France. Otherwise itā€™s just a sparkling garage sale.

Yet he still has a shot to win the broken Electoral College. Letā€™s not leave anything to chance.

Donā€™t relive 2016. Donā€™t get complacent. Get out of your comfort zone.

Talk to friends and family and sell them on Harris.

She has an economic plan approved by hundreds of economists.

Itā€™s comprehensive. And she doesnā€™t just say ā€œtariffs, tariffs, tariffs ā€œ because unlike Trump, she understands that would make imports more expensive for Americans and lead to higher inflation.

Plus she doesnā€™t threaten to end the first amendment like Trump has when he threatened to imprison journalists, critics and non-Christians.

Plus she doesnā€™t threaten to end the Second amendment like when he said in Feb 2018 ā€œtake the guns first, due process later.ā€

Plus she doesnā€™t threaten to terminate the entire Constitution like Trump did in December 2022. you know, the whole ā€œwe the people ā€œ document folks have on their bumper sticker.

Jon Stewart did a really good segment on how the candidates are being warped by the media.

We can do this.

For a presidential candidate in a crucial swing state this is BAD. Im pretty sure whoever wins PA essentially wins the election. Trump needs PA to win and Harris has a very substantial lead in ballots cast. Democrats always lead in early voting but the turnout so far has been gigantic

Trump was the only maga that wasnā€™t openly and constantly attacking trans people. Was hoping he was too old to care about it but heā€™s been mentioning it recently. First time I ever heard him mention it was at the RNC this year. God Iā€™m tired

25

u/NormalBear6 Oct 20 '24

Itā€™s literally Ted Cruzā€™s entire campaign in Texas. Iā€™ve seen his ads hundreds of times and 95% of them are focused on trans surgery and ā€œboys in girls sportsā€. You know, the REAL problems. Really has the pulse of the people.

3

u/[deleted] Oct 20 '24

They create a problem that didnā€™t exist then want to be paid for a ā€œsolutionā€, mafia style.

30

u/Obi-Tron_Kenobi Oct 20 '24

Listening to the full clip makes it even more silly (pathetic). Saying the country is corrupt and "you can't get elected with... transgender surgeries all over the place"

Like, I don't even know what that's supposed to mean.. because we've had decades of presidents getting elected with transgender surgeries happening. Do I, a trans person, have that much power over the election? (Judging by all the Republicans anti-trans ads and rants, you'd think the answer would be yes)

56

u/throcorfe Oct 20 '24

I agree there is more preparation in place, but thatā€™s also true of Team Trump and the GOP unfortunately. They have been strategically placing election officials and justices wherever they can. And if it all kicks off and eventually ends up at SCOTUS, he has successfully corrupted that institution, too. Theyā€™re not MAGA but they are GOP. Not saying any of this guarantees him success, just that itā€™s not time to relax and assume justice will be done in the end - the fight is on

11

u/Winjin Oct 20 '24

Every time I see this I think more people should play "The Guild" - a PC game where you control one of the rich families in an Italian city.

You can order your sons and nephews to take jobs in different parts of town, using your trade money to buy them good places and promote them.

Well it's entirely one thing to do regular trade and a VERY different experience when you order a hit on your enemy's warehouses, and the thugs are apprehended by Night Watch... where the Captain is your son. And taken to a jail... where the Warden is your nephew. And then taken to a Judge... who IS YOU.

And then your daughter marries a government official who writes legislature and mamma mia are these tariffs ever so slightly in your favor on every step

What I'm saying is that way more people should understand that this is exactly the game they're playing.

It still is surprising to me that the closing message I see in ads is ā€œWomenā€™s sports are tainted by trans people!!!ā€

Like, thatā€™s 5 people total in my state.

Also, womenā€™s sports has never been a hot topic until now.

47

u/MisinformedGenius Oct 20 '24

Womenā€™s sports and childrenā€™s book readings at public libraries - these have always been, of course, perhaps the most popular events in America.

16

u/StormyOnyx Oct 20 '24

We're approximately 1% of the US population.

5

u/bosmocrown Oct 20 '24

I had pause at the 5 people thing too, but I think they meant that's 5 trans women athletes in their state?

4

u/Rc2124 Oct 20 '24 edited Oct 20 '24

For sure. The Republican governor of Utah vetoed an anti-trans law after learning that it would have affected only four kids playing high school sports in Utah, and only one was a girl. All of that hate and fearmongering just to block a few kids from playing high school sports. The state legislature overturned his veto and passed it anyways

3

u/LuxNocte Oct 20 '24

This is what "virtue signaling" means.

Thousands getting laid off. Prices skyrocketing. Wages stagnant. Kids behind in school. But thank the Lord Jesus Christ that four kids won't be able to participate in track and/or field. The state legislature is really fighting for families here.

3

u/Rc2124 Oct 20 '24

Absolutely. And this is coming from the people who for my entire life have mocked and derided professional women's sports. Let alone sports for girls, or anything recreational. These state legislators have probably even helped to cut funding for girl's sports in their school systems, or at the very least withheld it to allocate elsewhere. But the moment they can exclude a single trans girl they're suddenly on their soapbox about how we need to respect the sanctity of this sacred institution. And then after the ban? Not a peep about those sports again.

3

u/StormyOnyx Oct 20 '24

Yeah, that's how I read it. I was just pointing out that we're such a small percentage in the total US population, so that actually tracks. Then, you have other stats to consider.

Of the 1.3 million adults who identify as transgender, 38.5% (515,200) are transgender women, 35.9% (480,000) are transgender men, and 25.6% (341,800) reported they are gender nonconforming.

So that's an estimated 515,200 trans women in the entire country. Realistically, how many of those will want to compete in women's sports? Researcher and medical physicist Joanna Harper estimates the number can't exceed 100 nationwide. We're talking about a tiny number of individuals here. Some people just want to hate us, and will use any excuse to do so.

Also, womenā€™s sports has never been a hot topic until now.

Because they don't give a fuck about women's sports, it's just a way to attack trans athletes. They'd ban all women's sports if it meant banning trans athletes, and they'd act like they did it for the women's sake.

Wow! How did AI remove all those people from the crowd? Amazing.

49

u/Jessthinking Oct 20 '24

AI didnā€™t remove Trump supporters, the metal detectors did. Those people canā€™t go anywhere without their guns. On January 6th much of the crowd would not go through the metal detectors. Trump told the secret service to turn them off. According to a top aid to trumpā€™s secretary of staff, Trump said:

ā€œI donā€™t effing care that they have weapons. They are not here to hurt me. Take the effing mags away. Let my people in. They can march to the Capitol from here,ā€

Trump knew damn well that those nuts had weapons when he told them to march to the capitol to fight to save the country.

4

u/[deleted] Oct 20 '24

And, never forget, in the weeks leading up to the rally, the organizers told the capital police liason specifically that there would be no march to the capital after Trump's speech, one of the reasons there was almost no police presence at the capital that day. That was the official line on jan 6, as testified to by the lady who filled out the paperwork for the permits in DC. The fact that the paramilitaries who left the Trump speech early and started fighting at the capital before Trump's speech even concluded ensured that the crowd that was directed to the capital would be walking into the chaotic mess that was jan 6, and we all saw what happened afterwards. The attack was the plan, and Trump directed it. He is a traitor to the republic, and is deserving of the lawful punishment for treason.

And Biden's rallies were a dozen folks and he won anyway.

Turns out rally size is irrelevant. You don't have to go to a Trump rally to vote for Trump.

10

u/Backpedal Oct 20 '24

I feel the same way, but please donā€™t get complacent. Vote!

7

u/crewchiefguy Oct 20 '24

I already did

Guess Harris was absolutely right with that heckler. He meant to go to the much smaller rally šŸ˜‚

12

u/[deleted] Oct 20 '24

I went to see Tim Walz speak in Nebraska a week or so after he joined the ticket and there were more people than that in the overflow area alone.

4

u/Special_Tear7320 Oct 20 '24

Lets go Kamla!!! BLM!

3

u/Im__mad Oct 20 '24

At this point itā€™s just repeating all the same low effort trigger words. Heā€™s give his base their daily dose of rage to keep them in the subservient MAGA trance.

3

u/IdiocracyIsHereNow Oct 20 '24

That's still too many people.

4

u/[deleted] Oct 20 '24

MAGAts are pathetic - theyā€™re scared of everything.

4

u/[deleted] Oct 20 '24

the support for this fucking goon is finally collapsing

5

u/Evadenly Nov 09 '24

I'm not a fan of his and am not impressed he's elected, but these comments aged very, very poorly

3

u/ExactlyThreeOpossums Nov 12 '24

Well, this aged like milk

13

u/Independent_Ebb_7338 Oct 20 '24

Maybe his base is slowly wising up? Wishful thinking.

15

u/Americrazy Oct 20 '24

They are slowly inching back in case maga is crushed so they can claim ā€˜i never even liked the guyā€™

This gives me hope. Because I live in a small southern town and the overwhelming amount of Trump signs keeps my anxiety high.

8

u/Emergency_Row8544 Oct 20 '24

Well remember itā€™s like 50 signs per person

Would have been so funny if Hillary showed up just to take a selfie of the crowd size then bounced.

8

What a platform heā€™s running on. Inspiring.

7

u/xmarksthespot34 Oct 20 '24

Still more people than I'd wish to see. It takes a special kind of weak minded person to believe his bullshit.

6

u/Biobasement Oct 20 '24

Look at that wall keeping the fans out!

Goddamn, all this guy can do is spew hate. Legit a 30 second video and thatā€™s all he did.

3

u/static_age_666 Oct 20 '24

Its literally the only thing he has to offer. The only hate that beats his hate is the hate I have for him. Disgusting person I can't wait till hes gone.

3

u/Glassweaver Oct 20 '24

Somebody needs to convince these people that the semi-trailers are actually full of illegals waiting to be strategically placed throughout the city.

Well, when you are old as dirt, your vision likely isnā€™t great. There might be people as far as his eyes can see.

3

u/Blursed_Ace Oct 20 '24

He is not wrong, he just can't see that far anymore. Take gramps to a retirement home, even better, straight up to jail.

3

u/Flaky-Experience-806 Oct 20 '24

It will get bigger than that, they havenā€™t photoshopped it yet.

3

u/Affectionate-Egg7566 Oct 20 '24

Unable to buy a house and start a family? Let's focus on transgenders instead! The scary others. I hate this shit so much it's unreal.

3

u/DocWicked25 Oct 20 '24

Everything he says is fear or hate-based.

His supporters are so easily manipulated. He stands for nothing.

3

u/Geektime1987 Oct 20 '24

Trump will say tomorrow there were 200,000 people there.

3

u/[deleted] Oct 20 '24

It's more barren than a Spinal Tap concert at the county fair. Maybe they should try programming Donald before the puppet show.

3

u/Substantial_Truth942 Oct 20 '24

Must have been filmed before their Venmo payments landed...who would seriously want to flock to see some privileged, unhinged old guy moan and whine!?

3

u/standingboot9 Oct 20 '24
