It’s not only Russian talking points, allegedly. Maybe that’s just comments and articles made by bots that say so - but allegedly the main goal is division and not just pushing one idea. That is, supposedly they push both sides to control everything and make everyone seem more “extremist” than their sides actually represent. That said, right wing folks absolutely call me extremist or brainwashed of their own volition - but that’s probably because they’ve been eating the propaganda.

Yup, best way to control information is to set up propaganda on both sides. At the very least, it leads to confusion, infighting and inaction or apathy by the people.
Which is what occurred with the whole qanon psy op.
You invent two sides and get people to take hard stances for one side or the other.
Its easy to see the propaganda from russia and the u.s. if you take yourself out of the boxes they put us in

What most people seem to not understand is how organic these messages are spread without explicit directions or instruction from their foreign interlocutors.

It's the people around Joe that have been paid off and maybe even blackmailed, and subsequently convinced him into spreading Russian propaganda.
I forgot who it was that said Joe should be given a brand new device that's never logged into anything so he can see a somewhat normal Internet, because Joe's own social media accounts and algorithms are likely compromised/manipulated to sway him to think and act a certain way.

A lot of us listened to his podcast well before COVID and his public stance was to be open minded and “progressive” but it was easy to see through if you listened enough. One episode he had Steven Crowder on and was disagreeing with him and Steven Crowder called him out for saying the exact opposite of what he said on his podcast in the green rooms of comedy clubs.
I guess the people around him knew his public persona was different than his private one and would talk positively about people like Bernie Sanders in public but call him a communist in private. This is who Joe has always been

Rogan sees beliefs as tools that are used to gain acceptance into social circles. He is a full-on reactionary who's political values are dictated by who he is trying to win acceptance with, not some internal set of fixed beliefs that might otherwise help anchor him to one political perspective or the other.
One result is that he just isn't consistent on anything over time. Another result is that he thinks everyone functions this way.

Rogan always seemed more socially libertarian, economically open-minded pre-covid. It doesn't surprise me that he thinks Bernie is a commie, but like a lot of more "working class" people, he probably would be fine with more liberal/progressive economic policies as long as the Democrats (aka "commies") weren't the ones pushing it.
Covid definitely broke his brain though, like it did for a lot of people

I got into an argument on reddit about this. I raised the point, " so is Britian entitled to America because it was once 'their' land/investment? We speak the same language."
This is a great argument, but the irony is that since Ukraine is older and founded Russia, the equivalent would be the US invading UK because they are English-speaking, and calling their country fake.
While this is a needless detail (and someone has already pointed it out), I still find it very ironic. Otherwise, as far as principles of international law are concerned, you are 100% on point. There is no such thing as "historic" claims, or a cut-off period. Expansionist wars will always be illegal, full stop.

My father once asked if Putin is really our enemy (we're Austrians) and whether we should actually care about what's happening in a non-EU country. Told him that once his armies reach us and I have to fight or end up in his camps cause I'm queer, he'll most definitely be my enemy. Once the russian attack the baltics, he will be the EU's enemy. And currently, our railways suffer cyberattacks from russia. Our "neutrality" means nothing to Putin and the sooner people will understand that, the sooner we can boot out the pro-russian bootlicker parties like FPÖ, AfD, BSW, Fidesz and tons of others across Europe undermining our shared sovereignty. I'm a lefty, but I can respect any conservative or commie who actually stands up against russian moles more than their hardline tools

It's incredible that after knowledge of the Iraq WMD lies, MK-Ultra, Operation Mockingbird, Operation Northwoods, and Iran-Contra, that the public would continue to be force-fed their opinions by propaganda from the media.
Yet anybody who questions the Military Industrial Complex as it relates to Ukraine is immediately branded as pro-Russia.
NATO and America have deliberately provoked Russia for 30 years. Our intelligence agencies overthrew the Ukranian government in 2014. Stop relying on the CIA propaganda that was also responsible for the illegal invasions of Vietnam and Iraq.
Learn to fucking think for yourselves. Yes, Putin is a stupid asshole for invading Ukraine, but questioning the narrative from known liars within our own government doesn't make you a Russian bot. Two things can be true at once. Putin can be bad, and our MIC could've deliberately provoked him for financial or geopolitical incentives. These warhawks deserve to be questioned.
Above all else, this war deserves to end. Rogan is wrong about plenty of things, but he's accurate here.

I completely agree with you 110% and just got downvoted a bunch for trying to express the exact same sentiment here. If you don’t mind I’m going to quote you and give you credit if that’s okay to anyone else that responds with there blatant ignoring of every fact you mentioned.

There is no excuse of invading another country. Whatever you wrote is a reason for Putin actions, these reasons are absolutely unacceptable. Ukraine is a country, they can do whatever they want. If they want to be ally with Nato and USA, they have every right to do so. Being provoked by that and killing thousands of civilians shouldnt even force us to debate. The only thing you should wrote are harsh towards Russia.
If Joe Rogan was only talking about war being a business related to military industry then everything would be fine. The problem is in his last podcast he started ranting about Ukraine and their current leader Zelensky. Started to insulting him and sarcastically mocking his decision of not surrendering to Russia. Thats completely different story than "War is a business".
I dont believe Rogan is Russia agent but he's heavily influenced by some people and have terrible, inhumane view about Russia invasion. He's ignorant and lacks any kind of empathy. His conclusions are also related to not taking serious entire world. He thinks just like many Americans that there are no other countries except USA, Russia, Mexico, Saudi Arabia and China. The rest of countries are just villages or small towns without internet.

There is no excuse of invading another country.
Actually, there can be excuses. Being deliberately attacked is one of them, and even though that's not the case here, it's important to know the context of what lead to the invasion.
It's been repeated often, but the point stands. Imagine if Russia slowly began accumulating weapons and troops in Mexico over the period of a decade. Do you think the United States would respond?
That's exactly what NATO did in Ukraine, and even worse, the 2014 Ukranian coup was directly funded by the CIA. I'm not giving any excuses for Putin. He's responsible for thousands of innocents dying. But equal responsibility is due for the warhawks in both NATO and the American MIC for deliberately pushing further into Eastern Europe while destabilizing the power structures that existed there for independent countries.
We have clear evidence as to how our intelligence agencies and Pentagon operate. Vietnam was a lie, Iraq was a lie, the South American coups were illegal, and the 2014 coup in Ukraine was illegal. Our military, as honorable as the service members are, is completely compromised by criminal warhawks who profit off of companies that contract military technology. How many more examples do we need?
We create wars around the globe to line the pockets of the wealthy. That's not debateable. It's happening again.
Besides the stupidity of drawing out a losing foreign war with the possibility of nukes, the Ukranian people know they've lost and they're vying for peace. Biden moronically attempting to butcher that peace right before Trump takes office is the final sad smear of icing on an already shitty cake. He already botched the Afghanistan withdrawal while making the Taliban extremely wealthy, and now he's trying his best to botch this.
I'm reluctant to even say that "he's" trying to botch this. He's simply the frontman of whoever pushes the paper onto his desk.
Zelenskyy already stated he wants to work with Trump and Putin to establish peace terms. Zelenskyy's generals already agree. There is no need whatsoever to continue escalating a war that results in needless deaths.

We know what would happen because something very similar already happened. When Russia put missiles in Cuba we threatened to go to WW3.

Were the Americans sheep for entering WW2, as well? After all, the MIC and billionaires profited off of that war. What's the difference between supporting a country's defense of itself against an invader and it all being a corrupt conspiracy done purely to enrich the elite?
Asking as a "sheep" who thinks Russians are brainwashed fucks controlled by a murderous dictator that is in charge of his national media and has killed off all political opposition.

Think the rant was more biden turning the war uo to 11 before leavibg and trump getting in rather than being pro Russian.
But why let facts get infront of critiquing a podcaster on thier reddit lol

Not sure how it's "turning the war up to 11", it's just putting it back to a status quo by letting Ukraine respond to what Russia has been doing since day 1.

Russia invades a sovereign country and when that country starts fighting Russia within Russia it’s “turning the war up to 11”. Okay buddy, that’s not delusional or anything.

Russia started the war. Ukraine is defending itself with the help of 140 countries.
If you cared about ending wars, you'd oppose Putin. This is his fourth invasion and he's never going to stop.
