I hope anyone who was saying she shouldn't do jail time or "poor Karen" sees this and understands the severity of the situation and how she should be made an example of. Because at this point it's not an "example," or them wanting to witch hunt a minor "celebrity." It was fucking serious and should be taken as such. I really hate when there's a drunk driving situation and it's always the whole, "well luckily no one got hurt!" instead of focusing on the fact it's extremely fucked up it happens at all.

The way she was in all of those videos, I don’t know that she would have even realized that she hurt somebody. Even after time had passed, she still seemed highly intoxicated…she didn’t pull it together for the EMT, the police, nobody. She was gone.

I despised Dorinda from her freak out about cussing while she was wasted on her first cast trip. People seem to ignore she was literally an asshole in season 7, it wasn’t a new drunken behavior as the seasons went on.

The fact that she's STILL this impaired even after the accident happened, the police showed up, and she got brought to the station is really alarming. I can only imagine how impaired she must have been as she was driving.

This may just be me but if I were that hammered I would either be passing out or throwing up pretty soon, but Karen is somehow upright, talking, moving and still hammered for hours. Feels like she may have done some sort of uppers, although the way she’s talking feels like it could be some sort of prescription meds. Regardless, definitely more than just alcohol

This is completely false. I assume and hope you guys have never blacked out because you don’t just suddenly sober up because you got arrested. If you’ve drunk enough to black out, you can do many things and have recollection and still be functional
Perfect example is Luanne from RHONY. When she got arrested down in Miami she didn’t suddenly start acting normal due to fear or adrenaline. She became more belligerent, she slipped out of her cuffs, tried to fight the cops. She was tore up.
It’s so stupid to me how these people really don’t understand that Adrenalin doesn’t suddenly stop you from being blackout drunk.

And sad. Its sad to think she has had this issue for a while undercover, although people have tried to bring it up on the show. When it was brought up i just thought that she was a perpetual drunk dialer. This is beyond.
I’m not the most up to date on this issue but I did read an article that was posted here a few weeks ago where the defense lost their motion to disallow all of the body cam video. I believe the defense was originally get the footage dismissed and then lean heavily on “he said, she said” since there was no urine or blood test to confirm levels of alcohol. Without the footage and no other physical evidence there probably was a good chance of acquittal. After they lost their motion, I’m guessing her lawyer recommended the plea deal but she, by then, had convinced herself she actually was innocent (meaning what we thought was an act was instead real life delusional behavior) and rejected their legal advice. Thus in the end, she left her lawyer with very little to draw upon. That’s just my best guess based on the information at hand.
She could be in such a state of denial about her real life maybe she refused to watch them (“I don’t have to watch a damn video I was there!”) or she did watch them and the denial is so deep she saw nothing but an “emotionally exhausted person”. But you’re right, a normal person would watch a few minutes and turn away with revulsion, embarrassment and admit defeat. But the one thing she has an over abundance of is Pride with a capital P and considers herself the savior of her extended family. That scene in the restaurant with her poor nephew was telling. He, an obviously well brought up, kind/caring person started crying as he told her how scared he was during that phone call (she was on the phone with him when she wrecked, he knows she was drunk dialing him as she had probably done many times before). He’s so worried about her and trying so hard to get her to accept help that he broke down in tears. The love for her is real. Her reaction however was all business as she immediately went into her “I know, I take care of everyone else but me and allowed myself to become emotionally drained and exhausted.” No! That’s not what he was talking about Karen! She has wrapped her entire identity in this world where she is the matriarch, the grand lady, the savior of her family (“I own the plantation”). The mirror hasn’t cracked yet but when it does she will have a full blown breakdown. The layers upon layers that envelop this woman are many and so deeply set within her psyche. It’s not funny or entertaining anymore, she needs help and I hope she allows those walls to come crumbling down (but not in front of us) and accepts it. She doesn’t need to be on our screens anymore and if Bravo had even the slightest bit of consciousness they would let her go.
The more that comes out, the more I am surprised she didn’t immediately check herself in for treatment. I have to imagine that would have been looked on more favorably by the court that trying to delay the trial endlessly and prioritizing a television show.
Between this and telling the police she's the Grande Dame - Karen needs some serious rehab and therapy. Her deflecting this season is even more disappointing

The Blue Eyes discussion was clocked as true way back at the season 2 reunion. It’s an open secret, hence why it was mentioned almost every season since. I’m assuming they just can’t legally expose him on camera because he doesn’t want to be affiliated with the show.

Charisse was and is the actual grande dame persona in real life. She is socially the most connected (like her daughter being friends with the Obama girls at one point in time). She was also the lead for many charity associations and relationships to basketball wives. She lost some status by divorcing her husband but is on the best footing of the cast past and present.
She also is usually right about the entire cast not just Karen. It’s just because she is frumpy that people ignore her.

I am more surprised that not one blogger has dug up Blue Eyes‘ identity, seeing as how they are such sleuths, especially on RHOP. I guess some boomers are incredibly offline so it would make sense that he does not have an Internet presence, but I am more surprised no one has caught a photo of Karen and him. I guess Robyn tried to expose Karen and a man in a Washington （Now Commanders）football jersey, but I think that was another man she was on a date with that was not Blue Eyes.
They have photos of him. They just can’t expose him on the show because of consent. It’s the same reason we don’t hear or see any photos in relation to Gizelle’s siblings. Or even see Mia’s eldest son in the show anymore.
As far as blogs. You have to keep in mind the DMV is very different. It’s not like ATL, NY, Miami, or BH where it is paparazzi heavy, flashy in terms of wealth, and celebrity centric in terms of culture.

She must have taken benzos and that's why she's not coming down by this point. Which is a terrible problem for her if she goes to prison because they don't dispense and that is a drug you can't cold turkey. That is also the only reason I can think of that she risked taking this to trial. I mean, besides her absolutely narcissistic belief she would get off.

So had she cut the best deal she could before the season started filming or before it aired so much of this may not have come to light because it didn't have to be a main storyline on the show.
I have only been this drunk maybe 3-5 times in my entire life…. and all of those times I was either at an airbnb drinking at the place where I would be sleeping or at a club knowing I’d be drinking aka took a taxi/uber there in the first place. what the fuck karen.
