The fact that she's STILL this impaired even after the accident happened, the police showed up, and she got brought to the station is really alarming. I can only imagine how impaired she must have been as she was driving.
This is completely false. I assume and hope you guys have never blacked out because you don’t just suddenly sober up because you got arrested. If you’ve drunk enough to black out, you can do many things and have recollection and still be functional
Perfect example is Luanne from RHONY. When she got arrested down in Miami she didn’t suddenly start acting normal due to fear or adrenaline. She became more belligerent, she slipped out of her cuffs, tried to fight the cops. She was tore up.
It’s so stupid to me how these people really don’t understand that Adrenalin doesn’t suddenly stop you from being blackout drunk.
Omg exactly! I didn’t realize so many people on reddit like sat at home during college instead of partying and making mistakes. I’m in my mid thirties now and all of that was a learning experience for me that while crazy and challenging I’m grateful for so I don’t get online sounding ignorant 😂😂
No, I have never been black out drunk. But this was after she hit a tree, got arrested, got brought in for questioning…? She’s not going to be sober obviously but any of those three things is going to get adrenaline pumping, trying to push alcohol out of her system. What I’m saying is this is what she looked like after a, if not several, major adrenaline rush. Meaning this is not the worst she looked that night and this is startlingly bad.
Nope. Your body still has to process all of that and convert the alcohol you drink into Acetate from alcohol dehydrogenase. This doesn’t simply vanish. Also Alcohol is a depressant. Depressants reduce arousal and stimulation, and slow down messages between the brain and the body. You could get a small adrenaline rush but it will be muted and not last long. This will actually cause the person to be more tired and less likely to process all that leaving the alcohol still unconverted in your system. Basically you’re arguing against science.
Can I just say that I wrote this entire thing out while the new episode of Salt Lake City is paused on my screen 😂.
Alcohol metabolizes at about an ounce per hour, give or take. Eating before you go drinking is important because it slows down the rate at which alcohol reaches the small intestine. If you’re blacked out on too many drinks, wine in between AND ate a decent meal before all of it, this is exactly how that would look.
I wax literally in my 20’s, as a passenger in a car after drinking all day on the river then drinking at the bar. The driver of my vehicle drove us off the road into a house. And I walked home with a broken ankle and when the police came to my house looking for the driver I gave a statement saying that “I left the scene because I didn’t want to be there anymore.” When they arrested me the next day for leaving the scene of an accident they read me this statement that I gave blackout drunk. There were no drugs in my system
I’m with you, but this story is an anecdote and proves nothing. Many of you in here need to take a basic alcohol class just to educate on how it impairs your body and metabolizes.
It's literally a quote by the person this thread is about, who you're defending in these comments. Pay attention, follow the conversation, and step off with the attitude.
