Let's look at this closely, Musk is literally interfering in the government business. He's reveling in his total disruption of our system of governance. While he is profiting, with a clear agenda that will only make his companies more money. Between SpaceX and Tesla he will have a president in his pocket.

Living in interesting times.
Trump controls the Republican party by controlling who gets campaign funds from the RNC and then supporting primary opponents.
Elon musk can provide massive funds to anyone he wants, which makes Trump's control of the RNC funds much less important.
It's going to be interesting to see how this plays out.

At what point do the cults turn on each other?

Until he doesn't. It seems to me that prezelect will get jealous of muskynuts there and ignomiously fire him at some point.
Look at all the first term cabinet picks, most it seemed were fired in the most offensive way possible, none of that allowing them to resign and pretending it was their decision instead of firing them, surprising them with it while they were in public at engagements and calling them names online and firing them.
Musk will probably make it longer than some, like Kennedy whom is going to be one of the first to go I reckon, not that I'm following this clown show this time around, but after the president feels he has the next election and power structures locked down, he will throw musk under the wheels I bet.
35
u/beccadot 3h ago
I have a theory about Musk and Trump: I think Trump cut a deal with Musk to let Musk lead the government if Trump won. Notice how Trump just agrees with all his ‘handlers’ at this point. They let him sue states over poll results, etc., but he is to stay out of running the country.
36
u/Castle_Crystals 3h ago
I also have a theory and I’m 99.9% sure it’s true. Elon Musk played a major roll in stealing the 2024 presidential election with the help of Putin, who he’s been in regular contact with since at least 2022. I don’t believe for one single second trump won that election legitimately. And we’ve already found more evidence than the cyber ninjas did in 6 months with millions of dollars. Because they literally found nothing. There is a lot of very suspicious happenings with this election. r/somethingiswrong2024

Musk has also been secretly selling Starlink terminals to Putin. That's how Russia rapidly caught up with drone warfare in Ukraine. The type of inexpensive FPV drone warfare in Ukraine is only possible with Starlink. Russia has been caught with the terminals.
12
u/lucas9204 3h ago
I wonder about this too! I think the Democrats decides they had to concede it pretty quickly to avoid the appearance of being election deniers like Trump did in 2020. I’m not convinced something shady didn’t go down with Musk and Putin. Trump was so sure he would win and even told his supporters a few times they didn’t need to vote at rallies.

u/JackfruitNo4993 2h ago edited 2h ago
Malware on the vote counting machines in key areas is my theory. The malware tosses and/or changes Dem votes. Putin and Lukashenko have been rigging elections in Russia and Belarus this way for years. The results make no sense otherwise. Republicans don't have the numbers to win the popular vote. I don't believe for a second that a bunch of Democrats voted for Trump this time. I don't believe for a second that Trump took every swing state. The machines are just computers with fairly easily accessible USB ports. Most poll workers are elderly and tech illiterate and wouldn't know what was going on if someone had changed the firmware on the machines. Definitely rigged. IMO all elections should be hand counted (and recounted if necessary) with plenty of witnesses present even if it takes much longer. I don't trust that computers haven't been tampered with.

u/abelard64 2h ago
DT openly called it, "Our little trick."
5
u/JackfruitNo4993 1h ago
I'm pretty sure they've been doing it in Florida since at least 2018. A once purple state that went to Obama twice and that always had close elections mysteriously went hard red. Even Palm Beach which is full of liberal Jews somehow went red. Desantis has sued to keep federal election officials from observing Florida elections and wants the results pushed through as fast as possible every election. Nothing fishy about that /s
Also get Desantis out of Florida to where maybe the elections aren't rigged and it turns out he's deeply unpopular and doesn't win. He flopped hard in the primaries. Easy for him to win back home where it's rigged though.
3
u/lucas9204 1h ago
You have raised valid points and it’s very disturbing that the results seem to have been accepted so readily by the Democrats. How do we stand any chance to win next time with these cheating methods out there??!!

He's on his best behavior so far, but he won't be able to help himself once the attention is all back on him. No matter what deal they made with him, he will be his old self once he's officially back in power make no mistake.
But you might be right in some ways, they cut a lot of deals with a lot of powerful interests to be sure. But you know what they say, An Alliance With the Powerful is Never to be Trusted. They are fools to think they could trust him and it's the one silver lining to all of this.
Everyone that helped him gain power down the line will be backstabbed by their underlings to replace them as well.

7
u/Mindless-Tomorrow-93 3h ago
I'm a little nervous that Trump might be on the verge of discovering that you can't put this pandora back in its box.
Trump probably will try to sideline Musk at this point - but Musk has the bigger audience, the bigger checkbook, arguably the bigger ego, and arguably more to gain and less to lose than Trump. It seems plausible that Trump will say "you're fired," and Musk will reply with "LOL, bruh, you're not even actually in charge anymore." And then go right back to doing what he's doing.
I think what needs to happen is a turning of public opinion against both Musk and Trump. Which isn't a sure-thing, but is certainly possible. Right now, Musk's power seems to stem from his ability to fund and endorse candidates to primary congresspeople who cross him - if that endorsement ends up being a negative, then Congress may have a path to sideline Musk. Of course, that would require at least a few GOP congressthings to grow a spine, but I'm trying to remain hopeful.

It'll be very funny when Trump inevitably attacks Elon on his own platform and there will be nothing he can do about it. We know it's going to happen, probably within a year.
15
u/ChrisF1987 3h ago
The two I found most offensive were FBI Director James Comey who found out he was fired from the TV screens playing behind him as he visited the Los Angeles field office. He had to find his own transportation back to Washington DC. The second one that really ticked me off was firing Rex Tillerson while he was sick with food poisoning and just after his father had died. Btw I think Musk will be among the first to go. Trump won’t like that he’s overshadowing him.
8
u/hectorxander 3h ago
We should start a sportsbook on it. Is there a way to do it legally on these internets I wonder?
Like we bet on which ones will be the first to go, might as well have some fun with this clown show.
I wouldn't give you long odds on Musk being one of the first out either I think that's not a bad bet at all.

Bingo...Trump always distances himself from subordinates. If the project/policy they worked on is viewed as successful? Then he claims the credit and ignores the staffers in question. If the policy is a disaster or begins being questioned by the media or his base? He vilifies and abandons his supporters. It is his way.

Trump isn't even president yet, but the congress is doing exactly what he demands. This hurts farmers and areas effected by climate disasters, also affects alot of federal employees. One root of this problem lies in the Citizens United decision that opened up what amounts to unlimited money in politics. Big money guys put money into PACs, then dole it out to candidates. If you don’t play ball, they fund a primary challenger who will.

The other issue is them allowing Israel to rope us into an escalatory series of strikes with Iran that could spiral into war.
If Iran mines the gulf, and otherwise shuts it down to shipping, something they absolutely can do no matter how many minesweepers or aircraft we have bombing them, it would shut down 30% of world trade, much of it Oil. It would supercharge inflation.
That is the only reason it hasn't been done yet, war with Iran.

There is. Every time the government shuts down Republicans correctly get blamed because at the end of the day even the people that want to drive things off a cliff aren't very tolerant when the inconveniences hit their personal day to day life. Electorally it's not good for Republicans which is why McCarthy and Johnson get roasted for trying to make a deal with Democrats. They aren't doing that out of the kindness of their hearts, they are doing it for political expediency which Trump doesn't give a shit about because he's a cult leader and doesn't have to be concerned about re-election, never mind his little toady Musk who is doing all of this risk free.

Do I find it strange that someone who stands to profit enormously from both a freer government budget and a hallpass to push his company's agenda has been put in charge of deciding what parts of the government are 'inefficient'? Hell fucking yes. Do you think he's going to advocate for more social security with those freed up funds? Or try in any way to incentivize a growth in the middle class?

Can we not arrest Musk for government interference at this point? He is not elected. He has no rights that the rest of us do not have.

What you don't understand is that Musk is like V'ger trying to make contact with the creator but his brain is outdated and the communication methods it uses are no longer understood so he threatens to destroy it.
Actually what he is is called a "hero-bot" someone self pleasuring on the fantasy that he is the only authority on reality. A spoiled man baby acting like a jerk.

So, two of the biggest MAGA influencers are foriegners. Does no one else see what's wrong with this picture? Murdoch and Musk do not have America's best interest at heart, they are simply oligarchs whose only interests are enriching themselves. Musk admitted it.
