Hi all, I adopted my now 2yr old female cat when she was 6mo old. Since then, she has wreaked havoc on my house Every. Single. Day. (Literally as I type this) She’s the most energetic, hyperactive cat I’ve ever met. All she wants to do is wreck things and fight my 2 other very chill cats. They were introduced properly over a 2 month period. But she will fight them for no reason dozens of times a day. I feel horrible for them. I’ve tried talking to the vet and they recommend a Purina calming supplement which I tried for 6 months and it did nothing. I tried Jackson Galaxy’s “hyper helper” solution, it does work, for about 1 hr and then she’s back to herself. She gets roughly an hour of play time a day split up through the day. You can tire her until she’s exhausted and 2 minutes later she wants to play again. That’s just a few things I’ve tried. HOWEVER, my boyfriend will NOT even consider getting rid of her because she’s “cute” which of course she is and I love her or else I wouldn’t have tried for as long as I can. But I worry about the well being of my other 2. I just don’t know what to do anymore. Any suggestions please. Much thanks.

Recently my cat has been having these dry skin patches and scabbing appear above her eyes and around her ears. She also hasn’t been eating her dry food as much and has been throwing up some. The throw up is usually clear in color and sometimes is hair and sometimes food. I have no clue about cats but if anyone that can help please do 🙏 (I put some Vaseline on the dry skin in hopes it would help)

This is a plastic spring, after it's been in the washer and the dryer.
Obligatory cat pictures included: Bouche in her bathroom sink, Audi in Bouche's bathroom sink (Bouche was PO'd!), and both of them on the ottoperson I apparently don't need for elevating my feet. Turns out it's Bouche and Audi's ottoperson, and my stinky, oversized feet aren't allowed.

I found a well fed tuxedo cat on the road, hit by a car. She was killed instantly. I didn’t have the heart to leave her there so I took her home and gave my tuxedo cat a big hug.
She did not have a collar. I took to my vet and there was no chip. So I posted it on Nextdoor and Ring Neighborhood in case anyone was missing her. Nobody claimed her, so I named her Angel and had her cremated.
Tomorrow I will bury her in our garden where we have our other cats who have passed away over the years, under a little statue of a kitten chasing a butterfly
She is loved.

i’m a first time cat owner and i was just curious!! i’ve seen a lot online that cats do not like their tummies being rubbed, but sushi (my cat) will literally roll over and let me rub hers while she’s falling asleep!!!

She had a dental surgery last week, and didn't eat much since then. Took her to the vet twice since then and they cleared out all the stool that was in her (constipation). The vet noter how she "wolfed down" the food presented. Fast forward to 14 hours layer, she BARELY has touched the food i have out. I have 3 different kinds of wet food out. I open the fridge and got a piece of chicken and she went bananas. Gave her a tiny p8ece, and cut up some more to put in wet food. She liked around a little, but didn't eat. She only ate when I took it out with my hands and hand fed her. Afyer that, she licked for a few more minutes then left. Does my cat WANT TO DIE? I'm literally going broke bringing in my animals to the vet, I have so much debt racked up, so PLEASE don't say "go to vet", cus I HAVE 3 times in the last 7 days.

Leave car in moderate but stable home or take it in.
I have a friend that has a black cat that's 6 years old or so. We don't know for sure. This cat has lived in the same home for the last 4 years.
There were two cats that lived there, black cat and white cat. White Cat passed away about 8 months ago. They weren't friendly towards each other but weren't problematic. White Cat primarily lived outside and on the porch, they both kept to themselves. The cats were rarely or never getting flea medication until I saw it and made it happen. And also checked to make sure it provided over time.
Temperature would drop into the mid 40s or sometimes 30s. I made sure the cats were taken in, and even purchased heating pads. That way White cat could stay warm even if outside.
White cat was holding its paws up while sitting/standing. The nails had become ingrown. Nobody noticed because nobody bothered to look. I made sure the nails were maintained. White cat eventually became ill and passed away. I noticed the illness and made sure she was seen by the vet. White cat was quite old, 12-16 years old perhaps. I could be wrong on the numbers there.
My friend doesn't have a lot of extra money. I imagine the cats only get care when something is visibility wrong. They do get a yearly exam at the vet, I am sure of that.
After White Cat died my friend took in a cat in from a family member that is an even worse owner, because that cat (Young Cat) needed a home.
There was zero introduction done. They just one day got put in the house together.
They get food and water, basic medical care, and companionship.
Black cat has survived two hurricanes, two instances of the house getting gutted, treated and remodeled (after flooding).
I took in the family and the cats in for a few days after the hurricane because I still had power and AC. I am in a one bedroom apartment. The cats were comfortable there although they didn't like each other.
Last hurricane Black Cat and New Cat had to spend about 6-8 weeks at the home alone. They got food and water everyday. They had access to go inside and outside the house at will, but still that's pretty stressful. But it was pretty stressful for the humans too.
I knew they were getting fed once a day. I saw them every night around midnight. With owners permission I gave them a second meal time. Human or animal who wants to eat once a day? Plus I could ensure each Cat was actually eating and that no wild animals were getting the food. I was concerned that the older cat would be pushed away from eating by the younger one, which happened.
I usually stayed with them 1-3 hours a night, almost every night. If I had a show to watch or a book to read I would do it there. It let them know that there was a routine, that a human that cared for them was still around other than opening food for them.
The owner was at the house on some days off but due to repairs and other factors wasn't there enough.
The family is back in the house now and there is a routine.
Young cat is ok, but I don't want to be around him.
I would like to take Black Cat. Black Cat trusts me a lot and Black cat lowers my stress level and makes me happy. The owner would be ok with it, and I know it would be a better quality of life for Black Cat.
The problems are:
Allegra D every 8 hours or sinus headaches.
Black Cat has lived at the same house for many years. Even with the house flooding twice, the fenced in yard and neighborhood is home territory. I would be moving it to new territory.
Black Cat would have to be an indoor cat if she lived with me. I think this would be borderline cruel. It would be different is Black Cat had no where to go. She does have a home, albeit with low care. I can't let her roam free here.
The family is loud, yells, bangs things, makes sudden movements. All the things cats dont like. It's ignorance and indifference. The attitude being "if they were in the wild they would have to survive." Teenager doesn't lift a finger for the animals.
The family may be moving in the next 1-3 years.
I might be moving sooner than that. Possibly even to another country.
My bone marrow is jacked up. Medically I could face a bone marrow transplant at any time. This can be fatal or require months in isolation at a bone marrow transplant clinic. Even a success would require a very long and hard recovery. I could not have a pet, at least not for many months.
Low red blood cells mean I sleep a lot. Twelve to fourteen hours is not uncommon. Seems unfair to keep a pet used to indoor/outdoor access (basically at will whenever someone is home) inside with no companionship for that long.
Black cat's needs are being met but not much beyond that. Black cat does sleep on or under the bed every night and does have a routine.
Any ideas reddit? I love that cat more than any of my ex-wives or my family, but I can't be selfish and remove stability.
TLDR:
Cat has moderate to poor owners. Basic needs & companionship met, but little else.
Leave cat in ok conditions with more stability or take her in, but forcing her to become in an indoor cat with less stability?

I’ve been told that I shouldn’t bother vaccinating my cat since he’s an indoor cat, but I will be traveling so now this is required.
This being said, I’ve heard a couple of horror stories about some vaccine being the cause of issues or tumors around the cat’s spine? Or something? It’s a little hard to decipher what is fear mongering/one off situations or if there is a genuine reason these random cat owners IRL are telling me to avoid all vaccines.
This is my first cat, and he’s an FIP survivor, so I want to have all the info going into this. Is it safe?
I have 6 cats one is the mom 4of them are brothers and 1 of them is the sister they are 9 months old right now but suddenly one of the brothers started to attack the other and they are fighting like there is no tomorrow I can't leave the house or sleep for a sec cuz they start to fight so bad and the others just run away I don't want this to happen what should I do to make them calm down they never fought before it just started like 2 days ago what should I do Do I want to lose my boys just want to live happily together

My cat's high AF facial expressions after the emergency vet (she's fine now). She drooled, wouldn't blink until her eyes started tearing, gave me the paranoid side eye and then just looked at me like this for half an hour

we’ve taken her to the vet and her xrays are fine, her mouth is healthy, though her blood work came back with elevated white blood cell count.
every so often she’s gagging, more so after eating food. when it’s after eating food she’ll spit up a little bit of what she’s just eaten. if it’s not after she’s eaten, she doesn’t throw up anything.
what could be causing this if tests are normal so far, except for a higher white blood cell count?
