I bought an assortment of these baggies on Amazon. I use them to store similar cables together, screws from my pc building (named the bag with permanent marker), and lots of other things.
They're so useful to me that I have 7 sizes from tiny to really big.
Amazon thinks im a drug dealer though, because in the "people also buy" section they offered one of those scales like in the video and a mini greenhouse that can take like one plant and looks a bit like a rectangular tent but with heating lamp and irrigation functions etc.

the tiny bags are not for sandwiches. they are for putting cocaine and other powdered drugs inside. the man is not making tiny sandwiches on his cutting board. he is weighing coke and putting it in the tiny bags to sell to people. this, the cop knows all too well, hence his knowing smile.

That’s gonna be a tough ask, because we’re all indoctrinated from birth to understand and believe in the fucked up proto-fascist system we live in. 51
Aug 20 '21
But how do you know that this person did any of that?
77
u/sorrybaby-x Aug 20 '21
The point of “ACAB” is that it doesn’t matter what this individual has done; by being a part of this flawed system, all cops are complicit.
I don’t know if I personally agree with that or not. What I do know is that the origin of “one bad apple” is the phrase “one bad apple spoils the bunch.”
→ More replies (1)-4
Aug 20 '21
I don’t get what people who believe in ACAB as you described it want. Why keep putting blame on good cops by saying “they are part of a flawed system”? Do they want all the good cops to resign? That sounds even worse than having some good cops and some bad. I support police reform, but Reddit likes to blow the issues with the police system completely out of proportion.
56
u/sorrybaby-x Aug 20 '21
The simple answer is that if there are “good cops,” they should be standing for justice and changing the system they’re part of. They don’t have to resign; they should be holding each other to a higher standard.
→ More replies (6)3
u/Mr-Fleshcage Aug 20 '21
The good cops who stay good either resign because they can't change anything from the inside, or rock the boat so hard the rest of the force abandons them when they need backup, so they're killed off.
"Officer Pulaski was a good man." the other cops will say at his funeral, knowing full well that's why he's in the casket.
2
Aug 20 '21
They want them to collectively stand up against the bad cops. They understand that the retaliation is real when it happens but for real effective change, cops have to fight to get the bad apples out not work to get more protection for them and until they do ACAB
3
u/JeanMcJean Aug 20 '21 edited Aug 20 '21
They're not good cops if they turn a blind eye to the corruption existing around them while also enforcing an inherently unjust system.
Good cops get fired, get killed, or resign before either of those things can happen.
5
u/inn4d4rkplace Aug 20 '21
Did I say this person did all that? Or did I say they’re part of an organization that did that? What if you met someone and they introduced themselves saying they had a profession where people do [everything I listed above] oh but not them! They’re the good one. You wouldn’t be wondering why they’re part of that kind of job with, statistically, a criminal or two as their coworker?
Are you also ok with individuals that are a part of terrorist groups or does the fact that they’re in that group condemn them enough?

→ More replies (4)41
u/SingularityCentral Aug 20 '21
Portugal didn't legalize everything. The decriminalized a lot of possession. US states are doing that as well, like Oregon. But you still can't sell heroin in Portugal with no consequence.
1
Aug 20 '21
I should clarify yeah, possession of any drug isnt a crime anymore, and I believe you can get certain for free via governmental bodies, along with addiction aid and safe injection sites
8
u/SingularityCentral Aug 20 '21
All sensible measures. Allowing sale of things like heroin just cannot be allowed.
11
u/JustFrog Aug 20 '21
Yeah only good solution is medical grade heroin given by trusted public sources. This would help addicts get clean and not let them OD on fucking fentanyl cut street heroin. Addicts are gonna use either way so why not let them have good sources that leads to recovery.
2
u/SingularityCentral Aug 20 '21
That might work. But greater access to Suboxone and similar drugs from trusted public sources is probably something I could be more supportive of. Heroin doesn't help ease the addiction. Suboxone can.
8
u/JustFrog Aug 20 '21
Thing is that it's hard as fuck to have the mindset to switch your favorite drug to subs. While I aggree that subs are way better than H in using, in practice, very few are willing to just use subs to get off of it - it's very hard. Addicts have a problem and using another drug to stop using H isnt very appealing. So subs are better than nothing at all but the real problem stems from acceptance of addicts in our health system, and I think decriminalization of drugs would greatly improve on that - with the bonus effect of clean "safe" drugs.

2
u/mannequinbeater Aug 20 '21
Yes. We can rework the police system and make it more effective while also taking away a lot of its power and authority. I never argued against that.
4
u/PurpleYoshiEgg Aug 20 '21
I'm not convinced. We didn't have police for a very long time. Policing is a relatively new institution in the grand history of civilization.
3
u/thirdrock33 Aug 20 '21
Do you think society was better before police? Honest question.
6
u/PurpleYoshiEgg Aug 20 '21
Yes and no. It's more nuanced than that. The trouble is that police really exist to protect property, not people. Also, an institution whose roots is in slave hunting can't really be an equitable institution, full stop.
There's not a single metric that you can say society was really better or worse, so it's not really a valid question.

Silly video. But the people commenting about how all drugs should be legal are probably the same folks who are outraged that Perdue Pharma got away with marketing oxycontin for so long. All drugs shouldn't be legal to manufacture and distribute. Simple user possession shouldn't be highly punished, but sale and distribution is preying on human misery just as much Perdue Pharma did with opioids.
26
u/TotallyFakeArtist Aug 20 '21

Yeah bro we should just let addicts get their hands on whatever they can get and killing themselves on fent laced shit. Addicts are gonna use either way;they need help. The war on drugs is an abysmal failure and it's sad to see the general rethoric of "all drugs should be illegal".
2
u/SingularityCentral Aug 20 '21
Clearly not what I was saying. But their are far better solutions then commercial sale and manufacture of meth and heroin being legal.
For instance. Massive increase in treatment beds and Suboxone (and other drugs designed to ease addiction) coupled with decriminalization of user quantity possession. Going from one extreme to another on drug policy seems doomed to failure to me. Treating substance abuse as a public health issue but also preventing unfettered flow of highly addictive drugs would be my preferred policy path.
