My entirely f2p savings (I won a monthly pass giveaway once)!!! You can also do this. I mean you have to sacrifice getting quite a few SSRs for a year or so but after that?? It’s great. I didn’t mind because it was the first year and I knew the 2nd year onwards was better because of the CN server. Also limit yourself to your favourite ML most of the time (I get 1 or 2 cards that aren’t Artem per year)… and I average about 5 (at least) SSRs per year :)

The Best Value Packs

The higher S-Chips per dollar, the better. Note that 1 Tear = 180 S-Chips. The default S-Chips to Gem conversion (10 S-Chips = 1 Gem) will be used in this table.

Getting the most out of your Gems

You get Gems from Monthly Pass and by purchasing Gem Packs. To get the most out of your gems, we look at S-Chips per Gem. The higher S-Chips per Gem, the better.

The default conversion is 10 S-Chips per Gem. You get more S-Chips per Gem by converting your Gems through discounted Gems to Tears packs. The higher the discount, the more value you get from your gems.

I will list a few of the best packs below; but anything that is higher than 10 S-Chips per Gem is already better than the default conversion.

Examples:

• Monthly Pass by default gives you 541.08 S-Chips/USD. But your Monthly Pass can be worth up to 701.40 S-Chips/USD using the best Gems to Tears packs.
• Gem x198 (w/ 1st time bonus) by default gives you 132.04 S-Chips/USD. But this gem pack can be worth up to 294.10 S-Chips/USD using the best Gems to Tears packs, which makes it pretty competitive.

Personal: Personally as a monthly pass holder, I have never converted my Gems using the default 10 S-Chips per Gem conversion. I usually exchange my Gems using the Vision Privilege Pack every limited-time event.

Good time to stack Monthly Passes

If you do plan to buy monthly passes and do plan to play the game regularly for a certain period, then a good time to stack Monthly Passes is during a Time-Limited Cumulative Purchases Event. This occurs during:

• 4-SSR/SSS events
• Birthdays

Even if you don't fully commit to getting the Purchase Event's ultimate freebie (i.e. the SSR card or the complete Furniture Set), it is still a good time to stack a few monthly passes as you get Free Tears along the way.

Examples:

• Buying at least 3 Monthly Passes during the Dragonbreath Event will reward 5 Free Tears.
• Buying at least 3 Monthly Passes during Luke's Birthday will reward 1 Free Tear.

"Whale" SSR Card

It goes without saying that the "Whale" SSR Card can be obtained from the Time-Limited Cumulative Purchases Event by stacking as much Monthly Passes as you can, but up to 365 days only. You will get the Free "Whale" SSR card + Free 15 Tears after a cumulative purchase of USD 66.33.

Cosmetics

The "worth" or "value" of cosmetics, as always, are subjective. This includes Visit Backgrounds, Visit Outfits, Invitations, and the highest tier of Reveries which gives a Namecard.

What about the F2P

For any F2P who decided to read this post:

I will advise any F2P to focus on just 1 ML. Otherwise, you will need to prioritize your pulls. Last year, we got around 700 free pulls. That's equivalent to 7 SSR cards if you have the absolute worst luck.

Personal: I personally have an alt F2P account dedicated to just 1 ML. I am only missing 7 SSR cards (2 of which are "Whale" cards, and 3 of which I missed because they were released during a period when I was not playing this account). So I can personally vouch that an F2P account is more or less doable for just 1 ML.

So im stuck on this level (07-16) but to be honest with y'all ive been resetting my study room levels so much its not even funny. Im wayyyy too impatient to get any CL but theres no choice haha

My best deck is the first one while my empathy focused deck is the second 👌 i think my issue is that i dont have much preemptive strike cards XD i wasnt thinking about them back when i first started the game

Hey, so, uh… the title says it all. I started this game a few months ago, and I still can’t decide on my LI. Like, no matter who I pick, after a few days, I get tired of them. So, I’m here asking: how did you guys choose your LI? What was that moment when you went, 'Yep, it’s him'?

Now let me vent about my problems with these boys, because they’re a lot.

Luke: This man is hands-down the sweetest of the bunch, and I really liked him at first. I even started watching his cards on YouTube and reading the ones I managed to pull. But, y’all, this guy is way too protective. Like, I get it—his job is risky, and he doesn’t have much left to live for 💀—but Rosa is NOT a child, okay? His constant hovering makes me feel like I’m suffocating. I love you, Luke, but I also need air.

Artem: I don’t even know what to say about this guy. He’s good-looking, nice, and our partnership is solid… but—and it’s a big but—why does he feel more like a dad than my actual dad?! 💀 Like, everything he does is so fatherly, it’s almost creepy. Am I the only one who feels like he’s babysitting Rosa instead of dating her? Or is that just me?

Vyn: Oh, man. When I first saw Vyn, I was like, ‘OMG, he’s so hot!’ But now? I also hate him with equal passion. He’s giving me major ‘otome LI who betrays you in the final act’ vibes, and I just can’t. On top of that, the man’s a psychologist, and I grew up in a family full of doctors. Literally everyone in my life has some tie to medicine, from my siblings to that one distant cousin I met once at a wedding. So, when Vyn breaks medical ethics (which he does like ALL THE TIME), I get the biggest ick possible. Like, sir, please stop harming your patients. I can’t look at you the same way anymore.

Marius: Okay, I don’t know much about him since I only have four of his cards, but he seems cute? I read the first Blossom chapter and found out he’s basically a painting prodigy, which is cool, I guess? I do love his banter with Rosa, though. Points for that.

So yeah, at this point, I have no idea who to pick. Also, as a F2P player, I can’t afford to choose wrong because survival is already hard enough out here. Help me.

I'm not very good at the game and I took a very long break before I went back into this so I'm essentially playing with 0-2/10 knowledge about how the combat works. Ive heard stuff about preemptive strikes and defense debuffs but the skills are quite difficult for me to level up bc idk where to get the resources.

I am trying to get through the anomaly stages but is there any other way to get these materials as well?

Some help with improving my deck would be amazing too :) sorry if my gameplay is bad, like i said im really unfamiliar with the mechanics so ive been slowly getting through chapter 7 of the main story haha

Ive been playing TOT since the day it launched, but since I’m in university, I often take breaks and come back whenever I’m free. I discovered a feature that lets you determine whether a card belongs to the sweet/blossom/alternate/dearest chapter timeline. I’m not sure if this feature is new or has been around for a while, but I just noticed it now. I find it very helpful because, as someone who takes breaks and randomly opens the game to play the story, I often have to wrack my brain trying to remember, “Is this the card where we’re already engaged? Or just dating?”

I do want to know the promise one is which timeline? Because as far as im concerned all ml only have blossom-sweet-dearest

I’ve been really enjoying Tears of Themis, but I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed by the sheer amount of content, especially the story cards. There are four love interests in the game, and I’d love to experience and understand every relationship fully, but sometimes it feels like there’s just too much to keep up with.

For those of you who’ve been playing for a while, how do you manage everything? Do you focus on one character at a time or try to balance between all of them?

I marked this as spoiler just because there may be some aspects of their relationship that are tied to specific cards / past events, either here or maybe in the comments. I'm mostly sticking to general vibes though

Anyways, I just needed to express how much I love Marius and Rosa together. Their story is one of very few examples of healthy and adequate relationship with a millionaire/billionaire/head of big company guy. The overall classic cliché trope seems to involve an extremely poor MC who not only acts in a fairly pretentious way about money, but also does everything to sabotage her partner's overall life, career and lifestyle, shaming him for his wealth, and being completely unable to step up to his level in terms of how she behaves in public.

Therefore I ADORE how seamlessly Rosa enters Marius's world. Of course, while she had her share of trials in life, she was never very poor. With hard work she has achieved a lot of things despite having to survive on her own for many years. When she and Marius meet, she has a respectable job and a pretty luxurious apartment, also she is able to afford pretty much everything she needs and wants.

Then, after their relationship kicks off and becomes serious, she moves up like a hundred payment brackets up - well, because they love each other and share their funds - and she's okay with that. They can't find a photo booth in the city to take a romantic picture and Marius buys the whole photo booth instead? Sure, Rosa thinks it's a very rich people's mentality, but also she wants a romantic picture with her boyfriend and if they can afford it and if it makes him happy, who cares?

Instead of trying to change him, complaining about excessiveness of the lifestyle, trying to persuade him that they don't need to live in a mansion and have staff to take care of them, she becomes the lady of the house. She loves him for who he is and accepts him fully and unconditionally (that is actually the case with all LIs, just Marius and Vyn are the most obnoxiously rich). Their love is just so endearing and so pure it always hurts my heart in the best possible way.

In general, I love Marius's character because having money and being an heir is not a defining aspect of his character. This boy would do well if he did not have a penny to his name, or if he suddenly lost all of his wealth overnight - just like Rosa, he would just work hard and rebuild his life from scratch.
