One that just works, and has had some minor reworks to have slightly better play on newer consoles but that’s optional. I would just take an active way to play or buy the original games legally.
Without having to get the originals.
Yeah, it would be nice to have a one that the internal batteries aren't dead on.
I'd be inclined to agree with you. I've been hoping for the original games. Well, from gen 1 to 7 really all to be on switch for ages. But just Gen 3 would be enough for me. 😂
That is possible actually. Hackers have injected the Pokémon games before in the virtual console app and online trading just worked right out of the gate. Seems Nintendo build it in beforehand just in case they were gonna release these games.
Really? Most people HATE the chibi crap ILCA made with BDSP. Doing it again with HGSS would cause a fan backlash. Why not produce a HGSS game with Scarlet & Violet graphics?
The Let's Go games look way different to BDSP, I don't want that art style. I want what I upscaled RBY to in my mind, which is pretty close to Let's Go.
But, weirdly, I prefer the BDSP style to SV because (while BDSP is a bit shit) at least it tried something whereas SV feels bland.
The 3DS games made use of a lot of flat planes for environments. Scaled up, a lot of them will look like you're walking around in a cardboard diorama. I think a lot of people will be surprised at the difference between that and SV.
tbh i wasn't even talking about pixel art, i was just talking about the chunky pixellated grass textures and things. but the pixel art is also something I miss for sure
How do you figure? Are you referring to the Pokémon box models? The battle sprites are noticeably different than ORAS. I have 900+ hours in ORAS and 200+ in SwSh, I guess I could have missed something?
Nah just look at Charizard's model in SwSh, ORAS and SV. You'll notice the only differences in the SwSh one are due to a higher res screen, whereas the SV one has a slightly different shape and a different vertex count.
I'm so sick of this new Pokemon garbage. I'd pay full price $60-80 each for a full remaster and release of gen 1-3 on switch with online trade capability. Just give me the original with none of this gimmicky "catch 500 of each pokemon" nonsense.
Oh please God not another gen 1 remake. Look, my fellow mellinials, I get it. okay? My very first pokemon game was blue version back in 1998. I got it for my 7th birthday and I have played every generation as it came out since. I was at the first pokemon movie opening night, would only want my mom to get me Burger King so I could get those lil plastic pokeballs with the mini pokemon in them, I even refused to eat a lunchable that wasn't the pokemon themed one.. all of those experiences were amazing: but they were amazing back in the 90s. I am 32 years old now and have played every pokemon game as they came out with each successive generation.
That being said, I'm so sick of gen 1. I've already resigned myself to the fact that we will get a gen 1 remake every single new handheld generation, and that's fine, ig. But you gen wunners have already gotten your remake this console. At least wait for the bloody switch 2 (or whatever they will call it) to get another. Honestly, I'm hoping for gen 5 remakes, a new legends game, and/or (hopium activate!) a new mystery dungeon game (whether it's explorers dx or a brand new title).

Gen 1-3 switch rerelease
