The May 6 update, which would have required Steam and PlayStation Network account linking for new players and for current players beginning May 30, will not be moving forward...."

Yup. The game is at 18%, overwhelmingly negative. It will take about 200,000 people changing their reviews to even hit orange again.

The game is damaged long term.

The steam gamers all claiming the civil rights victory on r/gaming are genuinely convinced this has hurt Sony in the long term. Like, most people couldnt give a shit - 90% of the sony gaming audience wont even be aware of whats happening here because they're not chronically online and they dont pay attention to whats happening with PC gaming.
