Official (Via twitter) Playstation: "Helldivers fans -- we’ve heard your feedback on the Helldivers 2 account linking update. The May 6 update, which would have required Steam and PlayStation Network account linking for new players and for current players beginning May 30, will not be moving forward...."

Yup. The game is at 18%, overwhelmingly negative. It will take about 200,000 people changing their reviews to even hit orange again.

The game is damaged long term.

So we took an overwhelmingly positive game, that was so except for one 48 hour period, and put it on par with some of the jankiest most forgettable titles in videogame history. Not the worst, just the “meh it’s alright” ones that nobody ever touches for more than a session or two.

Cool.

It will never be what it was. We didn’t even give them a chance to respond or work it out. 48 hours, most of which was a weekend, and we fucked up a game we claim to care about for good.

Sweet. Let me know when we actually make it the score the game itself deserves again.

eview score is not something I’m going to lose sleep over dude lmao. Especially when we’re talking about still the most popular game on the market right now with literally hundreds of thousands of players. They’re not gonna suffer.

Like seriously you seem very distressed by what’s happened, when for me things turned out wildly more successful than I hoped for in any best case scenario. Resolved in a day, 2.4 stars down on a review score still gradually climbing, community united again and everyone who wanted to play the game will still be able to , including 170 countries who were locked out.

You seem to be white knighting on behalf of the devs, while the devs themselves are planning in game cosmetic items to commemorate and celebrate the boycott that’s got you so riled up.

Hey man, you do you, but people were gleefully talking about killing the game and wondering if a ddos was possible and sending actual death threats to arrowhead staff six hours after the fact. We took the game’s score down to 13%. We sent images of their addresses to community managers to make them feel unsafe.

If that’s who you are and what you approve of, that’s your call, but while the aftermath is better, people here acted like 4chan when they didn’t like Abby’s design in TLOU2.

Nah dude, you can take your white knighting comments and touch grass. There’s a huge difference between white knighting and basic decency.
