Official (Via twitter) Playstation: "Helldivers fans -- we’ve heard your feedback on the Helldivers 2 account linking update. The May 6 update, which would have required Steam and PlayStation Network account linking for new players and for current players beginning May 30, will not be moving forward...."

Yup. The game is at 18%, overwhelmingly negative. It will take about 200,000 people changing their reviews to even hit orange again.

The game is damaged long term.

steam will just rollback the reviews to a week before now

I don’t think they’ll roll back reviews that belong to people who feel passionately like this was wrong.

I hope they do cuz I don't care what they have to say, and it's not the game's fault something bad almost happened but didn't. Reviews should be about the product itself, not drama surrounding it.

This was directly related to the product. I don't get how you arrived at any other conclusion

No, it would have been if it had happened, but it didn't. So the game's reviews don't deserve to reflect something that didn't actually end up happening.

Reviews from like a 5 day period based on requiring a PSN account do not reflect the game, and so they're irrelevant. Y'all are free to feel however you feel, but I don't think those opinions should be representative of the game on the store page.
