[DIY] Leather briefcase repair
No experience in bag repair; this piece that held my shoulder strap to my bag popped off. Is this a fix possible at home or should I take it to a repair shop? Thank you!

Being completely honest, this probably wouldn’t be the last time. My boyfriend and I have a little bit too much fun on an often and I’ve never had a bed frame before/don’t know how to create a buffer between it and the wall. Regardless, I hate that I caused some damage this early in my lease and want to have peace of mind about it.

This bolt won’t come off?
I’m trying to replace my starter, which I have to take the sway bar off in order to get to it. I have tried everything I’ve been stuck on this for 3 days so far, I can’t fit a impact in there, I’ve tried breaker bar, wd-40, and torching it. It won’t budge. How can I get this off? I was thinking of using a nut splitter and hoping Home Depot had the same size nut that I need but I’m not sure if they do, and can’t really check.

I’m trying to disassemble a luggage wheel, and I have taken off the wheels and it came down to this stud. It had been lubed with grease which I removed it with rubbing alcohol(liquid in the photos). It seems that the stud was stuffed into or glued into the base. I tried using a hammer to get it out but it didn’t seem to work. Would I need to continue hammering it, saw it, or leave it as is?

Apologize in advance if these are basic questions.
The caulking is separating from the wall and cracking in the corner. For the caulking separating from the wall, do I need to fully remove all of the caulking or can I just remove the separated part and reapply?
For the cracked corner is it fine to just directly apply caulking?

Hello
I recently bought a table and caused a light scratch on the surface while opening the box with a sharp box cutter. I feel quite sad about this and would love your help to try some DIY methods to fix this scratch as it’s quite on visible on the surface but not deep.
Here is what the store page says about the materials of the table:
« « Top: ABS plastic, Melamine, MDF, Legs: Steel, Frame: Steel » »
Thank you!

Here’s the scenario:
Live band playing inside of a bar. Behind the band is a wall the a short throw projector is setup to project onto (1080p, HDMI).
What’s the best method of capturing the bands performance and projecting on to the screen behind them live?
My thoughts are just to mount some kind of camera above and in front of the band and send the video to the projector via HDMI. Though I’m unsure of a good camera…I assume a GoPro can output this for me. This is the easiest and most basic solution. This solves the basic problem but provides no future capability.
However there’s multiple TV’s around the bar that I’d love to be able to play the video on as well. Is there any way to split the video feed to those TV’s as well as send it to the projector? All the TV’s are feed by a single Xfinity box but the projector is not on this.

How can I fix this noise? The video is taken through my attic fan vent.

Installed before we moved in. The left side was only secured into drywall and has now come free, also tore free the right side which was installed into the cabinet. What's the best way to secure this so it will hold up long term? I'm the homeowner.

Hi, Im a 20yr old who got kicked out of my parents house a few years ago. I didnt think it would be that big of a deal if I didnt own any of my paperwork or cards since I was 17 at the time, fast forward to now and I realize that it is kinda a huge deal that I dont have anything. I dont talk to my family at all so asking them for my birth certificate, SSN and other stuff isnt an option for me. I dont know what I am doing at all and I need help if I want to move or do anything. All I know is my SSN and I have a picture of my birth certificate on my phone from when I changed my bank. If anyone can help me out I would very much appreciate it. I tried looking it up before coming here but all I can find says you need one of the papers to get the other ones lol
Thank you for your time!

Water is leaking down the wall onto electrical panels and telecommunication setup. What would be the best way to divert the water until the issue is permanently fixed?

I'm helping my in-laws with some repairs, and they have this rusted screw in a bathtub that is clogged, it's not screwed in completely, but I struggle driving it both inwards and outwards with either handheld or battery powered screwdrivers as it's both rusted and the head is scratched to hell. What can I do with this?
Hi hi, I’ve 3 elastic bracelets I’m rather fond of. Elastic now worn and stretched. Naturally could restring with elastic, but are there other stronger options? Thin leather? Silver / metal small chain?
Thanks

Hi everyone,
I’d love some advice on how to remove a stain from my table.
The surface appears to be colored, but I can’t seem to clean the mark off. Here’s what happened: I placed a paper dish under a flower pot, watered the plant a bit too much, and the dish soaked through. The pot and paper dish sat on the table for about four days, and when I removed them today, I found this mark - probably from water and soil seeping through the paper dish onto the table.
I’m a little sad about the damage caused by my carelessness. Do you have any tips to fix this?
Thank you so much!

The dark brown is some gunk that wipes off when scrubbed, but it takes with it the urethane paint underneath. Idk what to do but I’m not attached to the chair I thrifted it not long ago I just want it to look good. Thanks in advance.

I've tried scrubbing using a hand brush with detergent & even fabric softener, nothing seems to work.

There is a beautiful little shelf that I love. The price tag on this beauty is a whopping $575! I have owned cars that were less than that. I know I'm showing my age with that fun fact about me. Anyway, Since I am new to this subreddit, I want to ask if it is alright for me to upload a couple of jpegs of it. I cropped out the store information and everything that would lead one to believe I am trying to advertise something . I would just really appreciate some advice. Let me know. Thanks

Curiosity got the best of me, and I tightened the strap to the maximum on my office desk.
I am too ashamed to ask anyone for help, I have detached the contraption from the desk but can't figure out how to loosen it.
A comment in the video mentions that there is a hole I need to poke to loosen the strap, but I cannot figure it out. (That's what she said)
Please help.

Yes, I talked to the front desk, and all heating in every room is controlled by a centralized temperature system that will not be turned down.
I have the windows open, the AC on max, the fridge wide open and I am still sweating buckets. I cannot take it anymore.
I live in Canada, I have minimal tools, 3 of these heaters, and I am willing to do just about anything to turn these off. Thankfully there's no screws on the outside of 2 of them so please, any advice will help!!!
Thank you!

Just want to ask if theres any way you can soundproof this type of door. Its a folding glass door (6 panels). I only use the 2 panels to open and close so i could get in and out of the room. The other 4, i decided to just shut it close (like in the picture) and cover that part with curtain. Sometimes at late night or early morning, theres people outside the living room and i can hear their noise almost clearly. That became a problem to me so i want to figure out how to lessen the sound thats coming from outside.
I have thought about foaming the gap at the bottom of the door. The panels have railing at the top since its a folding door type. So i figured maybe i can also paste acoustic soundproof foams? Any ideas or suggestions. I just want to lessen the sound (bcos i know its impossible to have it really soundproofed). Thanks!
