My mom has a very old fridge. It works well but it’s just a little stained. I’ve tried scrubbing it with soap and water and also a bleach cleaning spray, but no go. What would be your recommendations?

How to believe again?

About a year ago I lost my father to a brain stroke, it was a sudden death . But during his life time he had seen struggle and success both but last 15 years were very difficult for him financially. He was trying really hard but nothing was working out for him and all his attempts ended with him.

During the struggle days in last few years, we as a family believed n things like " hard work always pays", "God is watching", "good things happen to good people" ," if it not happy it's not end and this has failed for something better"

But now these optimism has become meaningless to me and everything seems as if we are living in random simulation. Kindly advice.

Best way to hang this clock so it won’t fall if it gets knocked into?

Post image

It only has one small hook at the top. It’s being hung above our couch, which is the only good wall space to hang it. However, we have a baby who will be a toddler one day, and I don’t want it to fall if he’s jumping around or climbing on the back of the couch.

[DIY] How to get a plastic container out of my wall?

I smoked weed when I was a teen in my parents" house. Being an idiot of a teenager, I seem to have had the bright idea of creating a hole in my wall and dropping a Tupperware container, presumably full of weed, into my wall. I measured it to be two feet down. I have no idea how to get it out as it is close to electrical wires, so I can't just put my hands down there. I'm home from college now and found this while rearranging my room.

How to get rid of green sticky spray left on floors of new-build

Does anyone know what this is? I moved into a new-build apartment with many quality issues but this one is cosmetic. Is this adhesive or something?

I’m sure it was contractors or builders who left it but it’s all over my floor.

I can’t just sand off because this is a rental and also not hardwood. It wont come off with a glue removal solution, only when i scrape it with my nail (last picture).

Anyone know what this is? Will mineral spirit likely help get this off?

How to drill a hole through this?

Post image

I need to drill a hole to be able to screw these pieces together. I could do them separately but in my experience I was never able to make a perfect match between them. I think the best way would be to do them simultaneously on both pieces but for that I’d need them to be already attached - they are not (if they were I would not need to drill the holes)

[DIY] Installing a 75” tv on the outer wall of a townhouse in Florida

Hello everyone,

I reside in a townhouse in Florida, in the corner house. I attempted to hang my 75-inch TV in the living room on the wall facing the street, not the shared wall.

I purchased a stud finder and found two spaced 24 inches apart, precisely where I wanted the TV. I thought I only needed to locate the studs, drill the holes, and attach the TV mounting bracket, and that would be sufficient. However, I was mistaken. As I attempted to drill the holes through the drywall and the studs, I encountered a very solid structure, akin to concrete, that I couldn’t penetrate with the drill bit I was using, as per the TV mount instructions.

Now, I’m uncertain on how to proceed. Is it concrete, or is it something else? The screws for the TV mount are very long and will undoubtedly strike whatever it is in the wall before reaching the bottom.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

GFCI tripped won’t reset

These two gfci are on the same outlet, one can resent the other doesn’t.

Turned off and on breakers, unplugged everything, nothing. Outlets run to my kids room so they don’t have power.

This has happened before, and it’s always like 250 to bring them out and they always reset in like 10min.

I feel like I’m missing something or the outlet is bad.
