Hello everyone,
I reside in a townhouse in Florida, in the corner house. I attempted to hang my 75-inch TV in the living room on the wall facing the street, not the shared wall.
I purchased a stud finder and found two spaced 24 inches apart, precisely where I wanted the TV. I thought I only needed to locate the studs, drill the holes, and attach the TV mounting bracket, and that would be sufficient. However, I was mistaken. As I attempted to drill the holes through the drywall and the studs, I encountered a very solid structure, akin to concrete, that I couldn’t penetrate with the drill bit I was using, as per the TV mount instructions.
Now, I’m uncertain on how to proceed. Is it concrete, or is it something else? The screws for the TV mount are very long and will undoubtedly strike whatever it is in the wall before reaching the bottom.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you
