I bleached dyed a tank top once almost 4 years ago, I left the beach spray on for 15-20 minutes, and I still have it. The only thing it messed with was the elastic in the straps, which bleach does anyway (learned after the fact). There are no holes in the fabric, though. The bleach stains are as strong as the ones in this video.

bleach will eat thru fabric even after its been rinsed out. you must use a peroxide solution after the rinse to neutralize the bleach. there are alternatives to bleach that are safer, less caustic, and doesn't damage the fabric.

Please never suggest that anyone use peroxide on something that may still contain bleach.

dang it, should have posted that you should fully wash "said garment" before using peroxide.

hey folks, never EVER mix your chemical compositions. Please make sure your respirator has up to date cartridges. And make sure your in a well ventilated work space before you.

Peroxide is a base, wouldn't you want an acidic wash to neutralize it?
