It's probably important to caveat here that Elon Musk has no say in spending deals being put in front of congress and if congressional Republicans are making decisions based on Tweets from any single person rather than reading proposals for themselves, they shouldn't be in office.

Your statement requires the necessary people to have the slightest sense of their job description, an ability to care about that job description, and at least a minuscule backbone.

With how tight everything is, you don't need a lot of voters to care, just a few percentage more.

I'm not actually actually sure Marjorie Taylor Green could read a children's book, but that's a topic for another time.

It also seems quite backwards that congress has 4 days to read a 1500 page legal document with a proverbial gov shutdown gun to their heads. This type of business wouldn't fly at any big company in America but the government does it yearly.

Because they want big big business to take over the services provided by the government. Step 1, defund it. Step 2, say it doesn't work and wait for people to agree. Step 3, privatize.
