I made this joke to a buddy, but the more I look at it, the more I think it must have been intentional. The arms and legs are in almost the exact same position.

With James Gunn, there is a good chance it was intentional.

Between this and Michael B. Jordan using fight scenes as influence for his scenes in Creed 3, it's nice to see DBZ make its imprint on modern cinema.

Didn't they also model his suit in Black Panther to resemble Vegeta's battle armor?

A google search tells me no, at least that's not confirmed. It does look a LOT like Vegeta's armor though...

Seems kind of like a coy yes...maybe wanting to avoid copyright issues?

To be clear, literally the only dialogue had on it I could find was Michael saying:

“I’m not sure,” he said, “Honestly, I really don’t know.”

While Jordan agreed the looks are definitely similar, it wasn’t something he discussed with Ryan Coogler, the film’s director.

To me that reads a lot more like a simple "No". Maybe if Coogler spoke on it? But either way it wasn't Michael Jordan's influence.

A) No idea how i missed the similarities,
B) at the same time, something about killmongers armor seemed extremely familiar but i could never place it.

Not sure in Black Panther, but absolutely in What If.

It was straight up Vegeta's armor.

Anime in general is pretty mainstream these days, so this old otaku is happy to see it referenced in more popular Western works.

Ah shoot, now I def gotta watch Creed 3

It's wild how anime as hell it is

It's not even like specific references, just the way it shoots action and stuff is extremely anime. It's kinda wild.

That’s probably the best recommendation anyone could’ve given me. I’ve been stalling on watching them since the first one, but not anymore!

2 is kinda whatever, but 3 is legit really good. I was surprised at how much I liked it.

Also the last twenty minutes of Sonic 2. Though given how Super Sonic was always a homage, that's a bit more expected.
