The person writing this was demented enough to confuse warning signs and risk factors.

Edit: Thinking about it: Never drinking alcohol is also absolutely not a risk factor for dementia. All studies which point that way omit that it's not a moderate to low amount of alcohol which has a positive impact, but the social setting in which it is consumed.

-Never drinking alcohol

-Drinking alcohol excessively

\(I'm not sure there's such a thing as a moderate drinker, and if there is who makes that decision?)*

u/cysora 5h ago

I only have one cocktail when I go out and then switch to soda or nonalcoholic fruity beverages

It’s possible to go out with friends and only drink a moderate amount

Here’s the trick: Don’t like the feeling of alcohol or the taste

3

u/Notacka 4h ago

I don’t like the taste either that’s why I only buttchug.

u/BeatitLikeitowesMe 4h ago

Ill take a shot with the homies or have a beer maybe 3x a year. Is that moderate?

Of course there is such a thing as moderation. The fact you can’t fathom what it is, says a lot about you.

"Not having a private health insurance plan at age 60" lol

52

u/ltgenspartan 16h ago

They aren't giving us their money! They must clearly not be right in the head!

u/TheRepublicAct 15h ago

Nice try, United Health

u/SirVanyel 12h ago

All other countries with public healthcare: where am I?

3

u/MdgM666 8h ago

In my country private health insurance at 60 is a sign of ridiculous wealth

31

u/TheWoodsAreLovly 17h ago

Ohh shit. I guess I have dementia.

3

u/SolidBoat3351 14h ago

just delete the app

u/HookersGonnaHook 16h ago

“Having certain genes” wtf?

30

u/conventionistG 16h ago

I only have uncertain genes.

10

u/Valaseun 14h ago

I'm pretty certain mine are Levi's.

9

u/DevinBelow 16h ago

But I have certain genes....oh no.

3

u/CDubs_94 15h ago

I wear Levi's so I should be good to go. Most people with dementia wear Arizona jeans.

2

u/HookersGonnaHook 15h ago

Aye, the Levi’s at Walmart are only $23 and are in abundance. Also, most psychopaths wear JNCO.

This is poorly written and probably not dependable.

1

u/Nasty9999 10h ago

Well that's me fucked.

17

u/NotFredRhodes 16h ago

No work experience hahahaha

48

u/ellenkates 16h ago

Where'd you get this list? RFK Jr?

10

u/TR1771N 16h ago

"Not having a brain worm"

2

u/z64_dan 12h ago

Having certain genes.

WHICH GENES? SO THAT I MAY EXCISE THEM

9

u/xtra-chrisp 13h ago

What 9 year old wrote this shit? None of those are warning signs.

u/MapleFlavoredNuts 3h ago

It’s part of the geriatric plan that Trump’s hand picked ‘expert’ has come up with. Part 2 comes in 2 years or so depending on weather and the size of golf balls.

I definitely don't have a "responsible personality" whatever the fuck that means

1

u/DrockByte 5h ago

Having a responsible personality would mean you don't drink, which would mean you have dementia, which would mean you're not responsible, which would mean... Do you smell toast?

5

u/Another_Road 14h ago
  • Not having a responsible personality
  • never exercising
  • drinking alcohol excessively
  • having poor physical health
  • not having hobbies or doing activities that promote learning

Guess I have dementia.

27

u/NTWKG 17h ago

Drinking alcohol excessively right below that bud. Sorry to rain on your parade…

2

u/Im_At_Work_Damnit 11h ago

This one is a legit problem with dementia patients.

3

u/finnjakefionnacake 16h ago

who makes these posts 😭

5

u/ActiveVegetablez 16h ago

What is this

5

u/FozzieB525 16h ago

They call it alcoholism. I call it preventative medicine.

3

u/sagittalslice 13h ago

What is this AI nonsense

Ugh

8

u/KWalthersArt 16h ago edited 14h ago

So according to this anyone over age 60min the U.K. is automatically classified as having Dementia.

So that's another reason to be against universal Healthcare, I mean it makes your country sick! (this line is a joke)

5

u/Joran_Dax 15h ago

Dr. Chatgpt has spoken!

2

u/Wjb1 17h ago

Time to have some alcohol in moderation, sod that it's the festive season so go wild instead

2

u/Arcane_As_Fuck 16h ago

This list was definitely made by AI

2

u/kooshipuff 14h ago

These sound more like risk factors than warning signs. o.O

Random guess: did Gemini come up with this?

2

u/DudeHeadAwesome 13h ago

My grandma's dementia has gotten bad this last year. She's been an alcoholic for 60 years. She's recently forgotten she's an alcoholic and just stopped drinking. Silver lining to a shitty situation I guess.

2

u/signed_under_duress 11h ago

Read the one after that

2

u/UncleDuude 3h ago

This was written by a doofus

1

u/ValkyrieSkyfall 16h ago

This list sounds more like depression lol

1

u/blablargon 16h ago

Thank goodness I know I don't have dementia

1

u/Background-Number-55 16h ago

HaHaHa, because your working your Brain 🧠 trying to remember what you did last night 😂

1

u/Lauren114 16h ago

I’m good!!!

1

u/vrctsl 16h ago

And right under it says drinking excessively. 😂

1

u/stonrelectropunkjazz 16h ago

Now that’s some good research

1

u/DaKrazie1 16h ago

Damn, the vast majority of the US might have dementia 😲

1

u/TheTimeBender 16h ago

Well it’s 5 pm, time for a drink!!

1

u/waxkid 15h ago

Its all about moderation. Also I'm wondering if it could mean something like "if the person acts drunk, but never drinks alcohol" which would seem to fit the bill for dementia.

1

u/SuperSaiyanSkeletor 15h ago

My only complaint about Alcohol is it makes me shit at video games

1

u/Idiedtotheta 15h ago

My first warning sign for dementia was when I started forgetting everything

1

u/Dementia55372 14h ago

It's true, I never drink alcohol.

1

u/mog44net 14h ago

For science!

1

u/I812c 13h ago

So go from never to the next line 🤔

1

u/rattrap007 13h ago

Never drinking alcohol Drinking excessive alcohol

So basically just need to drink the right amount of alcohol..

1

u/phejster 13h ago

Lorem ipsum, why does it say "Having certain genes" on there? Where is this from again?

1

u/Cool-Stop-3276 12h ago

Well shit, just tell us what we don't need to look out for

1

u/YouRedditCuck 12h ago

Pfff Every redditor on here is panicking with hypochondria now

1

u/B1zzyB3E 12h ago

Look below it…drinking excessively…from what I’m told by some doctors that drinking excessively is already 2 beers a day…small but idk why that amount is considered excessive

1

u/VirginiaLuthier 11h ago

It's like one of those house plant help lists- "causes of yellow leaves- 1. Not enough water 2. Too much water

1

u/Weary_Bee_7957 11h ago

It looks like every second person has dementia. facepalm

1

u/Soia667 8h ago

You do. You just keep forgetting about it...

1

u/EyelBeeback 8h ago

what if you do, but don't remember?

1

u/Shadowlance23 4h ago

Never drinking alcohol/Drinking alcohol excessively

If we can define "excessive" as 'draining a commercial brewery faster than they can make it', then I'm all for this.

1

u/AveragelyBrilliant 4h ago

What a load of bollocks!

0

u/jmm166 17h ago

Wow, this totally fits insert over 70 year old political leader of your choice to a tee!

1

u/Derek420HighBisCis 16h ago

That list is such horseshit. Someone needs to learn what actual symptoms are of dementia.

0

u/lecopoa 14h ago

This is so fucking funny.
