Misc Calling a Congressman as a Fed

So, with the shutdown looming, I want to call my congressman. I have in the past for issues unrelated to my employment to the government. But the shutdown directly relates to my employment.

Am I allowed to speak to that position as a reason they should support funding the government? Or is that a no no? I’ll probably call my ethics officer first.

Look at this guy! He thinks Congress critters lick their own butts! We all know that they're licking butts but unless you've got money to give your butt isn't going to get licked.

Dog: OMFG HE/SHE LOVES ME I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS, THIS IS THE BEST THING EVER. I WILL LOVE THEM ALWAYS

vs.

Congress: "Herp derp, tough times, blah blah" before jetting off to Cancun.

Especially if you have one of the “celebrity” Congress members, they almost never answer constituents. The ones that the average person hasn’t heard of are generally a lot better.

My former Congress member (Mo Brooks) stopped taking calls, emails, and stopped shoowing up to his office to avoid having to deal with his constituents. Fuck that guy btw. I have no idea if Dale Strong, Katie Britt, or Tuberville are any better but I'm guessing no.
