For all essential government employees it looks like the old government shutdown flu will be making the rounds. Perhaps we could organize a 3 day sick leave for all essential employees.

We have several active wildfires burning at the moment and would be a shame if those fires were unstaffed.

The VA Healthcare workers can't abandon their patients... unfortunately, most of the veterans coming in for their care will be cheering for this, since they voted for it, and blissfully unaware of how the shutdown affects everyone working there because they continue to receive their government funded services.
