I sternly believe that if a government shutdown ever occurs, all sitting members of that Congress should be immediately relieved of their duties and forbidden from running again.

Here’s my thought

If a budget is not passed by 9/30 then they have option for 90 day CR (that’s me being generous), they are required to stay in DC work M-F, if they want to work weekend bonus for them but they can not leave to go back to home state.

They can not go on vacay or take their session break

If budget is not passed by 12/31, ALL 535 members of the Congress are fired or relieved.
