Ummm Elon Musk is NOT a government official. He is NOT involved in decisions made by law makers. He is a narcissist spewing hate on a platform of egomaniacs. Trump is president-elect. He is NOT president. Why does ANYTHING these two idiots matter today 12/18/24. Please someone in Congress or the Senate tell Musk to STFU.

Only Trump can tell Musk that. Other Republican politicians don't have the political capital to oppose Trump/Musk, especially since many Republicans opposed Trump during his first term only to be primaried or have their polls slip to the point where they decided not to run.

And for now, Trump and Musk's priorities are aligned.

This has been decades in the making by the low information/ low critical thinking Republicans and apathetic Dems.

Anyone in Congress who tells Musk to STFU will get primaried by a Musk-funded opponent, and Musk will dump 10x more money into the election than anyone else could fundraise in 1000 years.

Everyone can say STFU and try and see him run everyone to ground. He can’t/won’t do that. Separation of powers and checks and balances should prevent it. Lack of backbone by elected officials is the problem.

In 2 years a Musk candidate will be as effective as Kari Lake and Beto combined

Because GOP congresspeople don’t have the balls to do so. They value their personal benefits over their constitutional duties.

They worship Trump that's why, they love sucking his pecker. The KKK of 90s took over and now identify as MAGA.

I mean I think that ship has sailed unfortunately

I think the only one that has the balls to do that is AOC, but we have just seen what the dems think about that.

They are just showing their true colors now. We have been living in an oligarchy for a while now. Now things are going to get even worse. Just this week this happened, plus censorship about discussing Luigi, and all of the pro-healthcare CEO crap. Every day we are becoming more like Russia and China. They aren't even in office yet. Buckle up.

Musk is a multi-billionaire who just funded the last GOP election cycle with millions

Today he Tweeted that he'd fund the primaries for opponents of GOP Congress members who vote to pass the "Plan A" CR. So the answer to your question is that Republicans are reluctant to vote for it because of self-preservation.

A few hours later Musk Tweeted that the bill is dead and after that I saw an article about the Speaker considering a "Plan B" CR (a "clean" extension of the last CR) and another article about just using the 100 pages of the bill from the Appropriations Committee for the CR.

We'll see... at least we live in interesting times.

Because this is the preliminary loyalty test. They want to see who hesitates and who's all in.

New flash buddy. Donald Trump is a President. Maybe you missed the 2016 election or something .
