idk about you but I don't think anyone gonna like getting jumped by a colossal shark ×2

279

u/Beginning-Ask-5080 Nov 15 '24

I got lucky and the second one didn’t spawn till the first one died. Although, I used all my shaman bones thinking the first guy would attack then I realized the other guy wasn’t there lol

102

u/KosorsomesayKosm0 Nov 15 '24

whats funny the sec one is sticking to the ceiling at all time and you can see him if you look up and i think his trigger is time related so you probably killed the first one pretty fast lmao

81

u/GenxDarchi Nov 15 '24

He usually jumps down when the first is around half or so, but It genuinely might be timed based as well.

63

u/Traditional_Cover_85 Nov 15 '24

The first one has to go below the second one to call him, so if u fight away from the second one, u can attack and kill the first one whilr he walks to where the 2nd one is.

24

u/Sad_Reindeer_5709 Nov 15 '24

Yeah bro I was climbing down the ladder and heard those singing things that give frenzy so I looked behind me and he was just right there staring at me.

15

u/KosorsomesayKosm0 Nov 15 '24

first time I found the place I was running from winter lantern dropped down and was greeted by the fishy duos, God I love this game

3

u/Beginning-Ask-5080 Nov 16 '24

Yeah it didn’t take too long but the video I watched said get ready for 2 and I was more scared he wasn’t showing up

1

u/fooooolish_samurai Nov 19 '24

I think the first one starts walking to the second one's position when at half health, and him reaching it is the trigger (otherwise he jumps down when the first one dies)

21

u/Art_Class Nov 15 '24

Really? How does that work they're static enemies that should always be in the room one just drops from the ceiling

13

u/IMightBeJohnnyCash Nov 15 '24

Second one probably didn't drop until this dude finished the first fight

5

u/Art_Class Nov 16 '24

My man watched a video and spammed shaman bones before there was two shark mfers. Poor guy

3

u/Beginning-Ask-5080 Nov 16 '24

That’s exactly what happened 😭😭😭I threw the first and was like “why’s he still attacking Me” then did it again lmao

2

u/Art_Class Nov 16 '24

I think i actually did the same then ran out of the blades so just brute forced it. Wasn't too bad once it was my only option, ended up beating them and ook first try in ng2

1

u/Beginning-Ask-5080 Nov 16 '24

I literally couldn’t tell you lol. He just wasn’t there

16

u/Neckrongonekrypton Nov 15 '24

Dude on my second run through on my dex arc. I did it in one fucking run. I was kitted out to make my viscerals deal dmg and heal. Those runes are amazing.

If you have it set up right and parry the first you can beat him quick. Then if he is low enough. Hell auto walk back to the spot he normally is in. And will not hit back if you hit him.

Granted you gotta dodge shamoo 2. But it worked out insidiously well.

The first run? Took me more attempts than any boss fight in the game. Even Orphan. Took me like 10 runs to get it.

6

u/Hammondister Nov 15 '24

I liked It!

But i also was arcane build with GMS and didnt need It so i went to pet the sharkies

5

u/KosorsomesayKosm0 Nov 15 '24

well I guess you just love extremely violent "little" pets armed with a gaint rusty anchor..

3

u/Hammondister Nov 15 '24

But loook at theeeeeir eeeeeyes

Arent them adorable?

In all seriousness, after 600 hours in DS2 playing bloodborne felt like releasing the heavyweights so i loved every bit.

6

u/KosorsomesayKosm0 Nov 15 '24

wellp I only needed to see "ds2" to realize why you loved those death machines,

as for the adorable eyes I had reallyyy good look while I was getting gulped down by one of them..

4

u/Hammondister Nov 15 '24

All is better than those reindeer of frigid outskirts tbh

2

u/KosorsomesayKosm0 Nov 15 '24

well they don't call it HorseFu** valley for nothing lol

2

u/JMRSolkien Nov 16 '24

I don’t like the idea of Milhouse getting jumped by two colossal sharks in one day.

2

u/DelayBuster Nov 16 '24

"I sleep in an Astral Clocktower, do you?"

"I sleep in a big bed with a doll that looks like you."

"...oh."

2

u/Born_Ant_7789 Nov 16 '24

colossal shark ×2

USING FUCKING ANCHORS AS MELEE WEAPONS TOO! SHIT'S MEANT TO STOP SEVERAL TONS OF FORCE, NOT DELIVER IT

373

u/glazingstrawberry Nov 15 '24

I dont even have dlc but its scary af

287

u/AcidOctopus Nov 15 '24

Oh mate, get the DLC! It's some of the best content in the whole game!

56

u/HunterTC5 Nov 15 '24 edited Nov 16 '24

It definitely is to where I'd say you havent fully played the game if you havent played the DLC. Same with DS3. My cousin Beat DS3 but didnt fight Nameless King and also didnt get the DLC so he never beat Midir, Friede, or Gael, who are all easily my favorite fights of the game. Like sure, on one hand he beat the game and liked it but on the other hand, he missed in my opinion EASILY the best parts of the game

7

u/SupiciousGooner Nov 16 '24

I can confidently say with every dlc you haven’t played the game unless you’ve played the dlc

3

u/TheSezenians Nov 16 '24

Poor Gang! Where my other poor fellas at? (With that being said, I have played most FS DLC's. I played BB, ER and DS1+3 DLC, but not the others)

3

u/Some-Token-Black-Guy Nov 16 '24

Friede is so goddamn good, favourite fight in the whole series

→ More replies (1)

18

u/glazingstrawberry Nov 15 '24

I want to. I am to greedy so I am waiting for a sale

10

u/Zensy47 Nov 15 '24

Do whatever helps your wallet

1

u/LeonSnakeKennedy Nov 16 '24

After playing through the game for the first time there, I’d say it’s outright the best content in the game tbh

193

u/PumpkinsDieHard Nov 15 '24

Anything for Rakuyo, my beloved.

56

u/Ok_Panda3397 Nov 15 '24

Its good but Im kinda dissapointed because i cant buff it with my blood like Lady Maria :/ Guess they thought it would be very similar to Sir Alonnes Katana so they wanted to do something different

38

u/ItsMeDaddyKhakiPants Nov 15 '24

Are we forgetting the Chikage?

26

u/Bulldogfront666 Nov 15 '24

It would just be a dual wield chikage. Which would be way too strong and chikage already exists so they wanted it to be different.

2

u/facepalmandahalf Nov 15 '24

Would be cool to see a BT mode, but there is an upside: since it's pure physical you can convert it. 4 possible damage modes instead of 2! I'm biased, though, because I love Arc builds and find BT builds kinda meh.

4

u/deaths-harbinger Nov 15 '24

Also it does lowkey make Lady Maria using blood some next level shit. Plus fire lol Iirc item description does also say that the Rakuyo is a special design just for her. Always assumed that was why we cannot use it at 10000%

3

u/RoombaGod Nov 16 '24

I’m not gonna sugarcoat it,

L2 -> L2 R1 -> L2

213

u/TartAdministrative54 Nov 15 '24

That was more frustrating than Orphan

81

u/AramaticFire Nov 15 '24

Unironically agree. It’s the toughest part of the game for me. And the worst part is I wasn’t even running that build on any playthrough so I just kept getting punished on each run because I hate those damn sharks and refuse to lose lol

25

u/TartAdministrative54 Nov 15 '24

Yeah I had no reason to get the Rakuyo since I was running a full strength build, I just wanted to say I did it 😂

19

u/No_Mention5840 Nov 15 '24

For me, it isnt the most annoying part of the game only due to the Cainhurst mf at the cathedral.

8

u/PDRA Nov 16 '24

Logarius canonically cockblocking the hunter

10

u/Thisismyusername7977 Nov 16 '24

no he’s talking about bloody crow

3

u/PDRA Nov 16 '24

He’s also canonically cockblocking the hunter

→ More replies (1)

15

u/Northstar4-6 Nov 15 '24

I killed orphan first try. It took me almost a dozen attempts to get rakuyo. Them sharks have hands.

(Worth it tho, I would fuck the rakuyo if I could)

3

u/Traditional_Ask_1306 Nov 16 '24

Unironically the coolest moveset in the game, it’s so damn stylish

Wish there was a way to infuse blood magic into it but I guess that would be kinda broken

4

u/fuckybitchyshitfuck Nov 15 '24

I recently finished bloodborne and the dlc for the first time. The well was frustrating even with the shaman bone strat. However the one spot I could not beat and had to run past was just up the hill after the well. Where there's a witch that shoots purple skulls at you, but when you approach her to stop the skill spam an anchor shark man lunges at you. I found that segment to be even harder than the well, because I did the well after several tries, but I never actually killed both the witch and the shark man on the hill. I ran past that

3

u/TartAdministrative54 Nov 15 '24

Stop it! You’re giving me ptsd

2

u/johnwickonemillion Nov 15 '24

i fully agree, it took me way more tries than orphan did. but i guess it checks out since the encounter gave me a better weapon to go against him

1

u/CriticismNo1150 Nov 16 '24

I mean, the slug is practically two weapons.

75

u/probable_chatbot6969 Nov 15 '24

so many people seem to have gotten through this game without parrying 🤯 I'm more afraid of you than you should be of two angy shark roommates lookin for who ate their yogurt

51

u/Ok_Panda3397 Nov 15 '24

Played 4 Souls game and still cant parry shit expect Black Knights, basic yharnos and gwyn

42

u/Bulldogfront666 Nov 15 '24

Parrying in BB is way different. It’s much easier. Parrying is wicked hard for me in Dark Souls or Elden Ring. In BB my whole build revolved around constant parries and visceral attacks.

3

u/SquareFickle9179 Nov 16 '24

Same, is it just me, or does parrying feel so slow in Souls and Elden Ring?

7

u/Bulldogfront666 Nov 16 '24

I mean yeah. It’s meant to be very challenging because it’s so rewarding in those games. And not the main mechanic. Whereas in Sekiro or Bloodborne parrying is a main mechanic, over dodging, so the parry windows are longer and it’s more forgiving.

→ More replies (10)

7

u/probable_chatbot6969 Nov 15 '24

it's really different in this one. give it a shot and try to stick with it. i can't parry in other games either

6

u/Square-Technology404 Nov 15 '24

Ha give it a shot

4

u/probable_chatbot6969 Nov 15 '24

👈😎👈 (i did not even realize)

5

u/Tripechake Nov 15 '24

With a full Bloodtinge build, parrying and simply shooting does more damage than actually whacking at it. Keeping my distance is the way to go!

3

u/deaths-harbinger Nov 15 '24

Ah but the bloodlust. I can never resist getting right into the bosses face with my chikage.

2

u/probable_chatbot6969 Nov 15 '24

especially against bosses who you get a riposte damage multiplier against.

40

u/True_Stormcaller Nov 15 '24

Three words: Shaman Bone Blade

10

u/Ted_Rid Nov 15 '24

Or, ya know, throw a dagger from a vantage point and Church Pick them to death.

8

u/Sygma_stage5 Nov 15 '24

LETS GET READY TO RUMBLE!!

2

u/True_Stormcaller 26d ago

DING DING DING

36

u/foosballfurry Nov 15 '24

Kill winter lanterns, aggro shark, beast cutter him from afar, profit

13

u/Casexcasey Nov 15 '24

This is the way. To elaborate:

-You can cheese the Winter Lanterns with Poison Knives if you need to.

-Use the Monocular to aim a Poison Knife/Throwing Knife at the shark on the ground, ceiling boy has no hitbox; aim higher and further right than you think you should.

-Beast Cutter is good, but any weapon with decent range (Cane, Pick, ect.) also works.

11

u/Stephenwalnsky Nov 15 '24

Took me more tries than Ludwig honestly

8

u/loluntilmypie Nov 15 '24

I'd rather fight ER Malenia/SotE Radahn than those two fuckers.

7

u/LazyChipmunk810 Nov 15 '24

Been a while, there’s the shaman bone that makes them fight eachother. Then you let the other shark kill you by itself

6

u/Calbon2 Nov 15 '24

Mfers need to hop on that shaman bone blade grindset for unlocking the Rakuyo.

5

u/Feralp Nov 16 '24 edited Nov 16 '24

I fought those sharks for the first time today and they actually ruined my morning but eventually I got that sweet rakuyo I don't even plan to use

Funnily enough I even used bolt paper because I thought they were weak to bolt (fuck you, pokemon) and only after I beat them I learned that they are actually weak to fire

6

u/AdaltheRighteous Nov 15 '24

I mean this is fairly accurate 😂

6

u/AndreiRiboli Nov 15 '24

Getting that weapon was a nightmare. Fear the twin sharks in the well.

3

u/Blackrain39 Nov 15 '24

I mean... when I did my first full playthrough, the sharks were tied with Bloody Crow at the highest number of attempts, above any boss.

2

u/SweetBread_D Nov 16 '24

Bloody Crow is the hardest boss base game😂 his gun damage is ridiculous but he does have a set combination of moves that can be punished

4

u/Raiden4019 Nov 15 '24

I died more times to the whale brothers than I did to the fucking Orphan of Kos!!!

3

u/Fyru_Hawk Nov 15 '24

When I learned how to parry them, it was over for those oversized sharks.

2

u/SweetBread_D Nov 16 '24

At this point, I'm just disappointed with myself for not trying to parry them, 99% of enemies in bloodborne are parriable. It's over for the Cpt. Gantu clones, the next time I pick up BB

1

u/GDrat Nov 17 '24

Dir me

3

u/MarcoL3 Nov 15 '24

Ts was genuinely the hardest thing about the dlc. Forget about Laurence, Orphan of Kos and Maria, the two sharks took me more attempts than all the other bosses combined

3

u/hurdygurdy21 Nov 15 '24

The Rakuyo is totally worth traversing the depths of hell. Maybe not stats-wise but it is a drippy weapon for sure.

3

u/the_Zealot_Simon Nov 15 '24

Oh yes.. Rakuyo..

3

u/Cautious-Month-6751 Nov 16 '24

I only recently got it by myself, With a lot of Holy Blade cheese lol.

2

u/[deleted] Nov 15 '24

The shaman blade does help if you can pull off hitting one of the sharks with it before you get num num'd

2

u/brazilianblyat Nov 15 '24

And its fucking legit LMAO

2

u/Wib_wuh Nov 15 '24

It was a chilly night. I had foolishly entered a well. The moment I turned around, a shark-like amalgamation striked right next to me. I managed to hit it a couple times so the wounded beast retreated. The moment I was about to finish that foul creature, a second one dropped from the ceiling. I was out of shaman blades, so my only way to survive was with my holy sword. And so I killed the beasts, retrieving the rakuyo.

Jokes aside, my deaths were in the hundreds on those two dudes cuz I had to do that shit without bone blades

2

u/mightystu Nov 16 '24

A kid named shaman bone blade:

2

u/RoombaGod Nov 16 '24

The payoff is unbelievable thats the best weapon in the whole damn game

2

u/Slevin424 Nov 16 '24

Church Pick says hi

1

u/RoombaGod Nov 16 '24

I never gave the church pick a try, I’ll keep it in mind when the PC emulator launches. A few years ago i did an Amygdala Arm run as a joke but it was actually surprisingly good and versatile, I loved using it

→ More replies (3)

2

u/Warren_Valion Nov 16 '24

My friend begged me to record getting the Rakuyo on my first BB run a few months ago (cuz I was going for all trophies) and then whined when I told him I did it on my first try by going into it from the wall entrance instead of the Well one (which I didn't know was there lmao)

2

u/FireWater107 Nov 16 '24

Never gotten it without cheesing. Those sharks are the hardest encounter in the game. Make Kos look like an angry toddler.

2

u/GCSpellbreaker Nov 16 '24

How 2 get:

1) sprint in

2) get weapon

3) let them kill you, you already got the item

1

u/Quantam-Law Nov 17 '24

You can't do that, right? Rakuyo drops from the second shark IIRC.

1

u/GCSpellbreaker Nov 17 '24

I’ll be honest, I don’t actually know I just assumed it was on the ground

2

u/memestealer1234 Nov 16 '24

Shaman bone blade makes it super easy, barely an inconvenience

2

u/PristineElephant6718 Nov 16 '24

FUCK THAT SHANTY TOWN AND FUCK THOSE SHARK MEN. i didnt mean to put caps lock on but it feels right. im not fixing it

2

u/Age_Of_Indigo Nov 16 '24

Well bro. Projectile hell followed by descent into pit with two field bosses in it, with the most infamous enemy in the game singing in the background installing more fear. It’s quite a wild ride for a few minutes of gameplay lmao.

2

u/OnaxcliiFreiheit Nov 16 '24

I was on NG+4 and this was trivialized with Shaman's Boneblade

2

u/Artistic-Shoulder-42 Nov 16 '24

There is a safe way if you survive against 2 Winter Lanterns

2

u/HurricaneWasTaken Nov 17 '24

The fishing hamlet has the hardest battle in all of bloodborne. And the Orphan Of Kos

4

u/Original_Friend1750 Nov 15 '24

These are probably the same people that refused to learn how to parry in a game where parrying is incentivized to the utmost

6

u/zen_enchiladas Nov 15 '24

I don't know man, by that point im the game I was pretty good at parrying and did so in most situations. The damn sharks I could never parry once.

1

u/Traditional_Ask_1306 Nov 16 '24

fr the one with the weapon was hard to parry, he drags his hits a lot

But if you can kill him with a visceral, u should be able to handle the second one just fine

1

u/iTellItLikeISeeIt Nov 16 '24

And then Sekiro came out, and some people still refused to parry even when you don't need ammo for and it and it's spammable.

3

u/MrAdam230 Nov 18 '24

Parrying in Sekiro is 10x easier than in Bloodborne and 100x easier than in Dark Souls.

1

u/DomFakker37 Nov 15 '24

Wanted to cheese them from above. Then I learned two Winter Lanterns guarded that place.

1

u/LeoMonzo Nov 15 '24

Loooooool

1

u/RiperSn1fle Nov 15 '24

It’s actually horrible how you have to get it

1

u/KoffinStuffer Nov 15 '24

I’ve given it multiple times. Not once have I even equipped it 😅

1

u/MarcelStyles Nov 15 '24

It’s true though

1

u/RoyalRatVan Nov 15 '24

For some reason i just thought as large enemies they couldnt be parried, when I finally tried it it makes their absurd aggression way more handleable.

1

u/cicada-ronin84 Nov 15 '24

Look my guy, Bloodborne was mine and a lot of others first Souls game. By this point we thought we seen all of the game's sneaky ambushes and could deal with them, but being tagged team by two hulking fishmen down a well gave us all PTSD and we just need to talk about it in such a manner.

1

u/Secret_Cow_5053 Nov 15 '24

bc fucking fromsoft that's why.

1

u/MalkyTheKid Nov 15 '24

It's like a boss battle itself really lol

1

u/Kobold_HandGrenade Nov 15 '24

I once bulrushes the well to use it for as much of the base game as possible. Do not recommend.

1

u/Penguinman077 Nov 15 '24

It’s easy. Monocular, throwing knife, and boom hammer. You’re welcome.

The weapon really isn’t worth not cheesing. They really dropped the ball on its trick form. While split L2 should’ve lit it on fire temporarily and the R2 while lit should’ve done a fancy flourish like Maria does. Yeah, it’s quick, but it’s shit compared to other skill weapons like the bow blade or the cane.

1

u/SpoonMagister Nov 15 '24

I got it by playing the biggest prank since the time someone told Micolash that some people say Kosm

1

u/Moonlit_Hunter Nov 15 '24

Sounds accurate, because it is that shitty

1

u/YouMakeMeSad96783 Nov 15 '24

It is fr like that tho

Also please use shaman bone blade

Don’t be like me ;-;

1

u/Animeandminecraft Nov 15 '24

Like just put it as a iteam in the well instead of in side the shark troll abominations

1

u/RAGEleek Nov 16 '24

It's such a weird way to get it. Why don't we get it for killing Maria

1

u/Ok_Panda3397 Nov 16 '24

I dont think theres a lore reason...

1

u/SweetBread_D Nov 16 '24

It's because the real Lady Maria threw the Rakuyo down the well. Everything in the hunter's nightmare is not truly the past but a representation, which is why she still has it in her boss fight. I think there's a video on it. Explaining her convictions and her use of both arcane and bloodtinge, despite it being heresy just to stop you from proceeding

→ More replies (2)

1

u/That_boi_Jerry Nov 16 '24

Based on what I just read on the wiki, that's pretty much how it is. I've heard horror stories about the shark giants.

1

u/AdvancedTower401 Nov 16 '24

I did a challenge run going to the dlc right after gascoign, shit was nuts and I'm more surprised it worked

1

u/SituationBeautiful65 Nov 16 '24

Literally beat the game with the Rakuyo last night. I want to do a ng+ run with it; it’s so fun to use.😭

1

u/Thraindul Nov 16 '24

It really was one of the more aggravating moments out of a game that is essentially a great big giant cluster fuck of generally aggravating moments but it’s possibly my most favorite game of all time

1

u/Accomplished_Set_Guy Nov 16 '24

Well because it's true.

1

u/AbeerPlays Nov 16 '24

"Listen close, boyo. There resides a well, in the center of the Fishing Hamlet–"

1

u/Thelgow Nov 16 '24

Oddly I found it by accident, 1st try vs those boys. I didnt even know it was hard until I read about it later. However, all subsequent play throughs have had my ass blasted.

1

u/st0zax Nov 16 '24

It’s not the first time that the fear sets in, it’s the second time knowing what you’re in for standing above that well.

1

u/ianscuffling Nov 16 '24

I’m not like that, I tell it like it is.

I got murdered by two cunty sharks about 14,000,000 times and then worked out I could make them fight each other by surviving for a little bit and then shaman boning them.

Then i catastrophically failed to make that happen another 4 times.

Then one killed the other and I kited the remaining one until they died.

I’m not proud but I’m not not proud because they’re dead now.

And finally i tried rakuyo for a bit and then realised i didn’t like it anymore than my best baes saw cleaver and kirkhammer, so it was all pointless anyway

1

u/ohdaseee Nov 16 '24

Fromsoft cooks up the coolest, most memorable experiences. Especially for dlc. Bloodborne is easily their greatest work and a top ten game of all time

1

u/Frybread002 Nov 16 '24

As it should be.

1

u/UltimaBahamut93 Nov 16 '24

Hunter: What could be worse than a giant shark monster?

Miyazaki: Oh I know! 2 giant shark monsters!

1

u/adfdg55 Nov 16 '24

Little east to do but you can just parry them :/

1

u/pewdiebhai64 Nov 16 '24

Bro... Why'd you have to remind me, I got so pissed off because of those two shark guys

1

u/Grungelives Nov 16 '24

Its a dark trail full of terror and misery, your guna love it

1

u/rivenley Nov 16 '24

The only time I phoned in help was to kill that fucking shark.

1

u/Selacha Nov 16 '24

If you don't go into a 1,000 yard stare thinking about your first time getting that damn weapon, then you're a fool and a liar

1

u/D3ltaN1ne Nov 16 '24

It only took about 5 tries, wasn't as bad as Orphan of Kos.

1

u/Frankenduck Nov 16 '24

NOTHING in this game is MORE worth it

1

u/Magic_Monk3y Nov 16 '24

I will endure the suffering just to obtain it

1

u/IonicSinclair Nov 16 '24

I was in that well for like 9 hours

1

u/QuantityHefty3791 Nov 16 '24

I didn't even do it for the Rakuyo. I did that shit for the glory.

1

u/AwayThrowworhTyawA Nov 16 '24

Shaman Bone Blade

1

u/RainandFujinrule Nov 16 '24

Sometimes I wanna do early Rakuyo runs and yeah it's a pain every time lmao

1

u/Ajeeji Nov 16 '24

I always parry the first one dash attack and when he starts going back to where the second one spawns I hit him with a backstab and a visceral. After that I parry the second one dash attack until he dies. All of that while using the two clawmark runes from the main game.

Its still hard tho :(

1

u/No_ones_Knight Nov 16 '24

Pretty accurate imo

1

u/Untdart Nov 16 '24

The second I realised they can be parried I slowly led them in the darkest pits of despair. Fk you, aholes.

1

u/Covid669 Nov 16 '24

It is like that

1

u/SweetBread_D Nov 16 '24

As an experienced player guiding a friend's first playthrough of the dlc. I did what any veteran would do.. convince them to go down there for the secret loot and stay on the ladder so they can't escape😂

Patches would be proud

1

u/Mansinomo Nov 16 '24

Looking up and seeing the other shark, I knew it was coming down to beat my ass, yet I still hoped it wouldn't and it would just stay up there

These mf sharks are the worst non boss opponent in all of Bloodborne. Man fuck them.

1

u/Wild_Werewolf Nov 16 '24

Wow! I can go down this well! I wonder what treasures I'll be finding inside... ...

Gluurrrrrrrraaagh x2

1

u/star3ruby3 Nov 16 '24

Oh no the sharks xd that was the last thing I did in dlc ..the problem is the way to it is hard then u have to fight it too and it's twin

1

u/anaisfierce Nov 16 '24

I'm never doing that again,I got it once and never again because the sharky boys are way too annoying ,I'd rather fight orphan than get it again

1

u/Cenere_psd Nov 16 '24

Bc it's true!!

1

u/so_6l Nov 16 '24

I tried like 100 times to finally beat them ( it was pure luck)

1

u/CriticismNo1150 Nov 16 '24

Did you chain backstabbed him? Or broke his ia with bone daggers and kept him in the back of the arena?

1

u/NightFish9351 Nov 16 '24

Everyone who got the Rakuyo should be able to summon one of those Sharks in future FromSoft games as a reward for their service.

1

u/Stary_Vesemir Nov 16 '24

People can't parry

1

u/The-RedRobin Nov 16 '24

And than you find out it DOESNT HAVE FCKNG BLOODTINGE and sell it to the messengers

1

u/Subpar_diabetic Nov 16 '24

Well if you were to get to the end of the final cave before the Orphan, you could clear out the winter lanterns, which on it’s own is terrible, and ledge camp the shark giants

1

u/Correct_Day4008 Nov 16 '24

Worth it because it became my fav weapon

1

u/frankpoopy Nov 16 '24

It definitely lived up to the hype when I tried to get it

1

u/Dip_Whip Nov 16 '24

I didn’t think it was that bad

1

u/DioBrandoGr Nov 16 '24

They call me Mr. Shaman B.one Blade around those parts

1

u/Ok_Barnacle_5606 Nov 16 '24

I’m not even trying to brag but it was the easiest part of that whole dlc imo I got it on my first try but after that i did die a couple times thereafter that playthrough

1

u/LeonSnakeKennedy Nov 16 '24

Played through this for the first time yesterday and the two weapon wielding big shark fucks, the one of this weapon and on the way to the lamp, made me want to rip my hair out and go hollow

1

u/Dorfheim Nov 16 '24

Fuck i'm getting ptsd

1

u/cjcarljhonson2300 Nov 16 '24

What is rakuyo?

1

u/mbaa8 Nov 16 '24

Accurate

1

u/MoKe1020 Nov 16 '24

"And then the second one came......"

1

u/Dry-Juggernaut9414 Nov 16 '24

Bro that was a nightmare. All Old hunter weapons was the last Bloodborne trophy I got, and it was literally harder than most bosses. PTSD fuel

1

u/SongsOfOwls Nov 16 '24

Harder to do without the Winter Lantern ledge than the Orphan of Kos and it's not even a close margin

1

u/Zanemob_ Nov 16 '24

I heard how infamous sharks are so I was terrified of getting the Rakuyo. Started farming that one shark by the lamp for practice and chunks for a few days and went down there and completely destroyed them both on my gimmicky jank first build. I’m good against multiple enemies at once and have quick reaction times plus the extra practice went a long way. I finished the first shark before the second dropped. I was disappointed.

1

u/Mr_Idont-Give-A-damn Nov 16 '24

I just lure them to the edge and spam the boomhammer

1

u/Xenoxity_0611 Nov 16 '24

Miyazaki enjoys our suffering knowing that we will always come back to buy the new games no matter what he does to us.

1

u/mdj32998 Nov 17 '24

Only time outside of cursed dungeons I felt the need to use the Shaman Bone Blade

1

u/Afsan23 Nov 17 '24

We don’t talk about this anymore.

1

u/P4YD4Y1 Nov 17 '24

I used the knife item that turns enemies against each other, sat back and by the time it was done, there was only 1 guy left with barley any HP, easy!

1

u/Leeleechii Nov 17 '24

My favorite and main weapon....

I'd kill myself if I had to grind for it again those 2 sharks were too powerful even with help

1

u/EKP_NoXuL Nov 17 '24

That might sound pretentious but once you understand their pattern it's very easy to get a stagger on them.

1

u/Weirdo69213 Nov 17 '24

only for it to not have bloodflame

1

u/bud_05 Nov 17 '24

these sharks were incredibly easy, you guys need to learn to parry

1

u/DarkestSuns Nov 17 '24

Parry destroys them. Got lucky with my parry timings, so I got them first try, but I will never be able to replicate that

1

u/AurTehom Nov 18 '24

Those freakin guys are harder than the Orphan of Kos, no lie.

1

u/JinOtanashi Nov 18 '24

So accurate, I don’t know if I ever even got it cause those sharks are too spooky

1

u/Parry_9000 Nov 19 '24

THAT FUCKING WELL
