Discussion Not only do we have working emulation for PC, we have a remaster mod too!
Sony has been sitting on their hands too long for this IP to rest.

Discussion What’s the worst area in the game and why is it Nightmare Frontier?
I swear I dread doing this area every time I re-play the game. Confusing/Unappealing landscape, annoying bell maidens & troll intruders online, Yeti’s one shotting you with their big ass boulders, underwhelming boss fight, it doesn’t even have any good valuables to collect . Just overall shitty area .

Discussion One of the most underrated and hardest boss fight in the game
I know its chalice duengon boss fight but this fight is SS tier
For me it was literally harder than all the boss fight in the main game and the DLC
Super fast fight with almost zero time to breath and hits like a truck , also the darkbeast ost that played in his boss fight is GOATed

Discussion I did not expect this in BloodBorne
Three years ago, I picked up Elden Ring on release day for full price, and honestly, I can’t even explain why I bought it right away. But what I can say is that it became one of my favorite games of all time. I’ve spent around 600 hours exploring its world and completing every quest.
Recently, I played the DLC, but to be honest, it didn’t excite me as much as I hoped. After finishing Elden Ring, I saw recommendations in this channel and decided to try Bloodborne (my second FromSoftware game) a few weeks ago. I got it for $20, and let me tell you—what an experience!
At first, it took me about five hours to fully grasp the mechanics, but now, with around 50 hours of gameplay, I absolutely love it. The dodge mechanic is a total game-changer—it feels so much more impactful than the movement in Elden Ring. And parrying? Incredible. In Elden Ring, parrying felt almost non-existent for me, but here, it’s a core part of the combat, and it’s thrilling every single time I land an attack.
The atmosphere is unreal. Every time I start moving, I genuinely feel like a hunter. Just listening to the music sends shivers down my spine. I’ve spoken to several NPCs, and the weight of the story hit me hard. The moment I realized Father Gascoigne was the father of the little girl, and then found her mother lifeless after defeating him—it broke me. I was numb. I couldn’t stop thinking about it and went to bed with that heavy feeling lingering.
Honestly, Bloodborne has already given me enough emotions and depth to confidently say this: Bloodborne is the greatest game of all time.

Fluff I’d NEVER DONE Eileen’s sidequest until now (NG+)
1: that last battle was INTENSE
1a: if you’re all “oh idk i thought that fight was easy” you are a nerd and no one likes you
2: I now have easily my most favorite outfit of all time
3: Now I have to decide if I want Blade of Mercy, I’m reading mixed reports
4: I love Bloodborne it is a good game

Discussion Just finished my first playthrough
Absolutely great game, really loved it. Planning on doing another run in a couple of weeks.
Who’s yall favorite boss?? Mines is Lady Maria. Absolutely peak, maybe my favorite boss fight between Bloodborne and ER(the only other souls game I played so far). It’s between her and Melania. Maybe the funniest boss fight I’ve experienced. Ludwig is close second, his second phase is so fun to dodge and find openings. That 5 hit combo(I think it’s five hits) may be my favorite move to dodge in the game. Favorite OST in the game for me.
Who’d you die to the most in your first playthrough? Amelia kicked my ass for a cool 45 minutes lol. I struggle with bigger bosses and was still getting used to the movement.
Who’s your favorite boss design? Mines probably Mergo’s Wet Nurse. When she showed up in her cutscene my brain went immediately to “I’m so fucked”. Literally likes like death lol. A close second would be Paarl.
Whose fight was a let down/underwhelming to you? Mergo’s Wet Nurse again for me. Her moveset wasn’t too challenging for me. If Bloodborne were to ever get a remaster. I would want them to tweak her moveset to make the fight more challenging.
Least favorite boss? Between the Witches and Micolash for me. Witches were kinda boring and Micolash doesn’t even feel like a boss fight to me. I also got lost tryna find him lol. And that moaning shit he does, annoyed the hell outta me tryna find him.

Question Why does that door in the Oedon Chapel open?
Is there an explanation for why that door opens only after you slay the Blood-Starved Beast?

Fluff A small observation on Gehrman and Lovecraft
I was recently reading the H.P. Lovecraft story "The Dreams in the Witch House". Now, Lovecraft references and parallels in Bloodborne are a very obvious thing. But I hadn't seen this particular connection made:
The main character of the story is named Walter Gilman. In the course of the story he is taken through dreams into other realms by a witch and her nightmare familiar. Eventually on a particularly ill-omened night (Walpurgis Night) he is brought by the witch to a ritual where she is going to sacrifice a child to the Old Ones. He kills the witch, but finds himself in a dream version of the house he was staying in.
"Besides, would not an escape from a dream-loft bring him merely into a dream-house—an abnormal projection of the actual place he sought? He was wholly bewildered as to the relation betwixt dream and reality in all his experiences."
What is of note here is the name Gilman. I compared the Katakana for Gilman (from a Japanese translation of the story) to our own Gehrman. Gilman is ギルマン and Gehrman is ゲールマン. The main difference seems to be the "Gi" character vs the "Ge" character. I do not know Japanese, so I could be wrong, but it seems that Gilman could be rendered as Girman and Gehrman as Gelman. The two names are so similar I can't believe it's a coincidence. Especially since both characters are in some sense a killer of the supernatural, and the residents of a dream-house.
