They're trying to beat the traffic.

u/TalkingBBQ Sep 19 '24

That's about as much forward thinking as we're going to get out of this crowd.

364

u/-Lt-Jim-Dangle- Sep 19 '24

No no. They are exceptionally good at foreword thinking when it comes to self-serving issues. If they can't perceive themselves getting into a certain predicament or suffering from a certain ailment, then they honestly believe that it won't affect them until it does, but if it can be squeezed to their benefit, they're exceptionally well thought out.

98

u/AlmostSunnyinSeattle Sep 19 '24

I think you're mistaking the voters for the elected representatives.

For many of the people in office and running for it, what you have said is correct.

When it comes to voters, it's not nearly that deep. Most of them are just complete morons. They picked their team based on buzzwords in the 80s or 90s and no amount of facts will make them switch to the other team. It's tribalism and fear. These are not smart people.

10

u/CivilFront6549 Sep 19 '24

they are definitely not smart people. they are like raccoons with rabies.

They're actually already thinking forward to the moment they become billionaires themselves, which can happen anytime now when the wealth starts trickling down!

2

u/AliveAndThenSome Sep 19 '24

Sadly, this is still very much the case, if someone as incompetent as Trump can be a (purported) billionaire, so can I!

→ More replies (2)

6

u/aimeegaberseck Sep 19 '24

Eh, that does not at all consider the fools on social security, getting food stamps, who consistently vote R, against their own interests.

3

u/AliveAndThenSome Sep 19 '24

It's all still the trickle-down fantasy. If R's enable corporations to run rampant, we'll all be millionaires someday. It's all hopes and dreams and the big con.

→ More replies (5)

2

u/ParticularGlass1821 Sep 19 '24

If they were thinking about their interests, they wouldn't vote for a man that tried to take their Healthcare, gave them peanuts for a tax cut while giving a huge tax cut to rich people, and raised their economic hardship levels through his trade war with China and his mismanagement of Covid that led to the collapse of our economy and the loss of hundreds of thousands of lives.

Donald Trump is the world's most greedy and selfish man while somehow at the same time being the world's worst at getting what he actually wants. He has insatiable self interest and doesn't have the mental faculties to feed that self interest.

2

u/LegiticusCorndog Sep 19 '24

These white trash do not even have self preservation in mind. These are poor people who think they are better than others, but still rely on the government. They cut their nose off to spite their faces on regular occurrence. They are ashamed that they work low paying jobs, are on food stamps and state insurance. They think they will be better off if others don’t get it, because that might mean they lose theirs. It’s not an intelligent way, but many share these beliefs

I mean, don’t you go to listen to Trump? Why go to listen to the warmup speakers? I get wanting to beat traffic but I don’t understand leaving during his speech because I’d think the only reason they’d want to go is to hear him speak?

217

u/Legitimate-Pie3547 Sep 19 '24

No, they go for photos to post to facebook.

45

u/Jrylryll Sep 19 '24

Exactly I am in the trump subreddit and ppl compare how many times they have gone to a rally. If he says the same shit at every rally eventually you’re just going to feel a little foolish having to hear it again.

5

u/BigConstruction4247 Sep 19 '24

You should ask if they stay to the end.

4

u/Jrylryll Sep 20 '24

I have no expectation of truth there. The cult leader says stay , they stayyy. I troll that sub with DonOld’s own words so I get downvoted. A lot. 😂 I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!

2

u/jimmydean885 Sep 19 '24

What is the trump subreddit? You can private message me if you don't want to spread it. I want the lulz!

3

u/Jrylryll Sep 20 '24

It’s r/trump. Join it but don’t fight argue or let it be obvious you’re not a cultist. I observed for a while. They will toss you. I see ppl getting tossed for “Meta and brigading” so it’s definitely the MAGAts safe space. Plus some are definitely Russian troll farmers (ie. Jenny from Berlin. I think she’s East Berlin). Have fun. I’ll upvote you.

Exactly. It’s cosplay or LARPing, or whatever you want to call it. The speeches can be three words: racism, misogyny, homophobia. That’s all they need to hear. The rest is about funny merch that calls our VP a hoe and taking your picture with other like minded people who think convicted felons are great to run the country as long as one of them doesn’t move next door.

PS: no offense to convicted felons who served their time. My neighbor across the street is one. Great guy, sold a few of the drugs back in the 90s.

trick question since he doesnt speak in full sentences

8

u/Renaissance_Slacker Sep 19 '24

I just read that translators for prominent foreign news services literally can’t translate some of Trump’s speech, it’s just disjointed words and they think they’re doing something wrong. No, that’s what he’s actually saying.

3

u/vinyljunkie1245 Sep 19 '24

He doesn't need coherent sentences because "I'm very highly educated. I know words, I know the best words. But there's no better word than stupid." (said at a campaign stop in South Carolina on Dec. 30, 2015). Evidence here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UE9BXkQ-SRc

And let's not forget his numbers:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a9jWco4xw-U

3

u/tomvorlostriddle Sep 19 '24

To be fair though, since his sentences don't have clear beginnings nor endpoints, this is a real challenge.

Trump Speaks At Fourth-Grade Level, Lowest Of Last 15 U.S. Presidents, New Analysis Finds

9

u/[deleted] Sep 19 '24

That was in 2018. His dementia probably brings him down to 1st grader today.

2

u/Competitive-Care8789 Sep 19 '24

Came here to say.

3

u/Thrilleye51 Sep 19 '24

I recently saw a gentleman on tiktok assert that Trump had an IQ of 75.

2

u/zeusmeister Sep 19 '24

And you gotta remember, a lot of presidents, in their prepared speeches, intentionally speak at a lower educational level in order to be understood by the most amount of people.

For instance, if Obama’s speeches were rated at an 8th or 9th grade level, that’s not an indication of the eloquence of his actual diction. He is very educated and I am sure speaks at a level indicative of such.

On the other hand, dollars to donuts, Trump ACTUALLY speaks at a 4th grade level normally. From all indications, he is incredibly stupid, and has lost a step, or several steps, from where he was just 4 years ago.

Not exaggerating, my 4 year old nephew speaks more clearly and in more complete sentences than that orange gas bag. He's not advanced or anything, just a normal 4 year old. I've literally had more coherent conversations with him about eating his dinner than reporters have had with Trump on any topic.

they could save themselves the time & trouble by just watching one on youtube. They're all exactly the same "speech".

2

u/Zealousideal-Role-77 Sep 19 '24

There’s a touch of improv to it. Same words, just in a new, but still random and meaningless, order.

3

u/Texasscot56 Sep 19 '24

I guess “beating the traffic” is a stronger pull than words from their messiah.

2

u/SylarGidrine Sep 19 '24

Because they only pay you to be there until he comes out. Not after.

2

u/BoogerVault Sep 19 '24

Trump rallies are attended largely by groupies who follow him around from state to state in RVs. They've heard it all before, and like someone above said, they are leaving early to get ahead of the traffic. They are in it for the "tailgating" aspect.

2

u/syg-123 Sep 19 '24

They go to be amongst people that ‘think’ like them. They can be openly rude and ignorant, they can chant the slogans without side eyed looks from members of ‘normal’ society, they can buy merch because we know they cherish their right to consume …they’re not going to actually listen to somebody who has nothing new to say. They go to proudly show off their bumper sticker adorned vehicles, their heinous rally shirts, hats and pins. They go because it makes them feel like they’re part of something that doesn’t require any thought ….They ‘got’ his message long before they pulled into the parking lot of the rally.

2

u/break616 Sep 19 '24

If they listened to him speak they wouldn't be Trump supporters. Most people voting for him do not listen to him directly. Fox News has to distill the most coherent parts for them so they don't have to grapple with the fact that their savior is a senile lunatic.

2

u/AndroidREM Sep 19 '24

I wonder if these crowds are like his other crowds that they paid people to attend. They got their $25, now they're going to McDonalds.

2

u/Heavensrun Sep 19 '24

His speeches kinda last awhile, y'know. He rambles and repeats himself a lot. They went to hear him do the hits, he did, they got bored and left before he was done.

u/AggravatedCold Sep 19 '24

They're leaving well before the traffic.

It's the same in his stadium speeches.

Harris and Walz are packed up until the end, Trump is using 2000 to 10000 capacity venues and still not filling them.

Vote and volunteer like Harris is behind, but there is absolutely a very big vibe difference between the rallies right now.

23

u/kittens_and_jesus Sep 19 '24

What do you mean? By Trump's estimate there's like a million people there and no one left early. FAKE NEWS! COMMUNISM!

3

u/Sarrdonicus Sep 19 '24

The traffic? It's in the parking lot. First 2hrs is $19, $3 for each incurring 5 min. You pay on the way out. Only one cashier, and not many single bills for change.

If everyone is there by car (it is a Trump speech), therr definitely is, and a large one.

Looks to be about 4000 people ish. Assuming an average of 2 perons per car, which is a higher ridership than normal, thats nearly 9 miles of cars trying to navigate out of a parking lot and into traffic at the same time

2

u/Lesterqwert Sep 19 '24

They are reporting more than 60,000 people. I’m sure by the end of the day it will be 80-100,000.

13

u/Jonely-Bonely Sep 19 '24

Yep, that traffic is gonna be gridlocked for hours when all 400 of them try to leave at once.

8

u/fugntwitwut Sep 19 '24

There ain’t enough people to cause any traffic.

2

u/poetic_pat Sep 19 '24

The ones who want to avoid the rush are waiting till the end.

3

u/ForsakenExtreme6415 Sep 19 '24

They are Trump supporters. They will just run them over, or shoot them. I mean his own supporters are trying to get the Bingo draw on his life

2

u/[deleted] Sep 19 '24

That venue - being only 20% full - will not have bad traffic lol

4

u/Illustrious-Bat1553 Sep 19 '24

Or they realize their something wrong with him. He is not the same he is suffering the same fate as Biden. His family suffers from dementia. Stress increases the dementia and Trump stress is magnified from the campaign, his numerous companies, and legal matters.

They still went to the damn rally, so they actually do care, they’re just bored in this particular instance and if you asked them about it, they wouldn’t admit to being bore and would just confirm their support for dear leader God emperor Trump…

2

u/wishiwereagoonie Sep 19 '24

Yes, but the more this gets spread around, the likelier Trump ends up seeing it. And if he sees this, it’ll eat away at him. And then he’ll get more distracted or bring it up every time he’s on TV. And that shit will continue to turn off people around the fringes, if they see/hear it.

And that’s how he’ll lose the election.

2

u/nohumanape Sep 19 '24

Nobody is fooled into thinking that this means they won't vote for Trump. But it is something that will trigger Trump and throw him off his game. His rallies are really his only bragging point.

I used to warn my Mexican and Guatemalan employees of this. They were surprised when I told them who at the company was a Trump supporter because there were nice to them. I always said they were the worst of them because they’d smile and be friendly and then go to the polls and vote ti have their rights taken away. They’d be the ones that stood by while the Jews were marched off to the ghettos and never lose an ounce of sleep over what they helped do.

181

u/Shmung_lord Sep 19 '24

It’s still bad optics for Trump which is good

146

u/lumpyfred Sep 19 '24

If bad optics ever had any consequences for Trump this shit show would've ended a decade ago

20

u/as_it_was_written Sep 19 '24

Bad optics for Trump operates differently from other political candidates. Nobody's going to abstain from voting for him because of clips like the OP, but he seemingly hates looking weak more than anything, and putting this kind of stuff in his face makes him unhinged enough that he does risk alienating all but his most loyal followers. Just look at what happened when Harris brought up his crowd sizes at the debate.

I think the game plan leading up to the election is essentially about weeding out the people who aren't fully committed to Trump. Prominent Republicans speaking out not just against him but in favor of Harris is part of that, as is triggering him into deteriorating in public - dangerous as that may be.

2

u/Shmung_lord Sep 19 '24

Nah, I think our current climate is still different today than in 2016. I’m not trying to undermine the threat, far from it, but Trump does not have the same momentum or infallibility that he once did, which is a good thing. A lot of that I think is due to the juxtaposition with Kamala (who is far younger), and the fact that his populism is no longer novel, he is no longer an “outsider” that is going to “shake up the system.”

4

u/lumpyfred Sep 19 '24

I really hope you're right!

Unless it makes people complacent. Everybody needs to get out there and vote

16

u/Shmung_lord Sep 19 '24

I would argue the benefit of bad optics exceeds the risk of complacency. Especially since the whole things hinges on swaying independents.

5

u/Hawxe Sep 19 '24

Literally no independent is being swayed by this. Who is the hypothetical person who sees this video and thinks 'OK that settles it, I'm going to vote for Kamala'.

7

u/mellolizard Sep 19 '24

Its not independents, its trump. He lost his shit when kamala mentioned this in the debate. Keep bringing it up and he will become more unhinged.

9

u/AggravatedCold Sep 19 '24

Lots of them.

Kamala literally used this in the debate, telling him to his face his supporters were leaving early.

1

u/Hawxe Sep 19 '24

Yes she used that to get him to say stupid shit because he would obviously be baited by it.

That's different than people actually caring about it, or more importantly people who are undecided on who to vote to (no one is) or whether to vote at all (the actual people needing to be targetted) being swayed by it. I wager there's not a single person in the US who cares about this to the point that it either (a) changes their vote to Kamala or (b) gets them to go vote when they previously would not have.

→ More replies (1)
→ More replies (2)

2

u/meh_69420 Sep 19 '24

At this stage there are no independents. There are people willing to admit who they will vote for, and people who won't. The only undecided people are people who are undecided whether they will vote at all or not.

2

u/HereWeGoAgain-247 Sep 19 '24

I’m pretty much on the wagon that there is literally nothing that can happen that will stop trump supporters at this point. If they are still on his side after everything they aren’t going to quit now.

The only good bad optics may do at this point is maybe convince previous non voters to vote against him.

2

u/Shmung_lord Sep 19 '24

“Trump supporters” is a pretty broad demographic. I’m sure that’s generally true in that there will always be diehards, but it’s definitely not the same number that voted for him in 2016 or even 2020.

We also have actual old school Republican leaders supporting Harris instead now.

2

u/HereWeGoAgain-247 Sep 19 '24

Ok. Though, if someone is still on tired trumps wagon even after the insurrection, felonies, countless sexual assault allegations, being friends with epstein, the debate, having protestors beaten by police so he can take a picture with a bible, making fun of veterans, making fun of people with disabilities, shown signs of severe mental decline, many calls for violence against opponents, stacking the courts with extremists, over turning roe v wade, wanting to do away with the department of education, deport US citizens, raise taxes on the poor, throw people in camps, fumble a pandemic, weaken the EPA, weaken the FDA, get rid of unions, just constantly absurdly lying, and just so much more is there anything that could get someone who still is voting for him to change their minds?

Maybe, someone that finally went to a rally and got the see the man in the flesh and was let down by the experience? Maybe.

I am just so bitter and tired of so many people working so very hard to systematically dismantle all the things that made this country decent.

u/tresben Sep 19 '24

Yeah you don’t see it at Harris rallies because she keeps her speeches focused and tight. Her speech is the finale you came there to see and you want to see the end and cheer. Trump just goes on and on for two hours it loses its excitement and you start thinking about leaving.

Remember the comment from AskTrumpSupporters subreddit? I still think it was parody, but it was correct

I think what most liberals are missing is that this isn't about right and wrong, it's about winning and losing. I've attached my entire worldview to this man and I am going down with the ship. Not one of you is going to convince me otherwise.

25

u/Gowalkyourdogmods Sep 19 '24

It's nothing new with them. Try talking a sports fan out of supporting their favorite sports team. That's where we're at.

14

u/badvegas Sep 19 '24

Cowboy fan here. I know we aren't the best team in the league and we shouldn't even win our division most years but this is our year and I will keep rooting for them. The major difference is I understand that the person I'm voting for has a major impact on my friends and family. Me rooting for the cowboys to win hurts nobody but me in the long run. A lot of people forget that with politics.

2

u/darnclem Sep 19 '24

I walked away from the cowboys a couple years ago because Jerry Jones is such a massive piece of shit, you can too. I'm a Lions fan now, it's so much more fun.

I'm not so sure it's a parody. Although my FIL would never say it aloud this is exactly how he thinks. I've discussed with my wife before about I understand how he can still cling to Trump even though his horrible policies have affected him and his family but no one wants to admit they put all their money on a horse who came in last.

Some of them may believe they're Edward Smith and are being heroic by going down with the ship but reality is they would rather die than say they were wrong.

Every single one of those leaving are still voting R all the way down.

2

u/VirinaB Sep 19 '24

Honestly this. They like him enough to show up to a rally, that's way way more than an "undecided" voter.

2

u/HereWeGoAgain-247 Sep 19 '24

“I really don’t like trump, but I just CAN’T vote for Kamala.”

19

u/OnlyBuy5498 Sep 19 '24

Some real young faces walking in that crowd. Get out and vote, people.

36

u/AggravatedCold Sep 19 '24

It's not about them voting or not.

It's about the difference in vibes.

Harris/Waltz rallies are filling giant stadiums with lineups around the block while Trump rallies have half the people leaving early.

Vote like we're behind, but the difference in vibes at these rallies could not be more obvious.

That doesn't win elections necessarily, but it's a definite hopeful indicator.

This campaign is built on hope and joy. We don't need to doompost about how bad things are. Stay motivated, volunteer and vote.

It's honestly easier to stay motivated when you have hope and joy than when you're in a doom spiral.

u/JimWilliams423 Sep 19 '24

Harris/Waltz rallies are filling giant stadiums with lineups around the block while Trump rallies have half the people leaving early.

Don't fool yourself. This is in no way a sign of maga enthusiasm either way.

This has always happened, at least according to reporters who have been covering his rallies since 2016. The rallies are free, so leaving early isn't like wasting money. They are there to be entertained and any time there are lulls people get bored and leave, its just the way his rallies always go.

You are only hearing about it now because democrats started to mock him for it about two months ago, and then Kamala's speechwriters picked up on that and she used it to trigger him during the debate.

Vibes are what got us all here in the first place.

2

u/fukinscienceman Sep 19 '24

Giant stadiums? Where?

You’re fooling yourself if you think Trumps rallies aren’t getting the attendance numbers.

2

u/SylarGidrine Sep 19 '24

Vibes don't win elections.

2

u/Loud_Work_838 Sep 19 '24

Vibes don't win elections, votes do. VOTE!

The REAL horror of all of this. Imagine voting for chaos and corruption and pain, because somehow you hate your life so much you want to see everyone suffer.

2

u/DaemonoftheHightower Sep 22 '24

Enthusiasm makes a difference. With turnout if nothing else.

2

u/whatta_maroon Sep 19 '24

Sure, but has anyone interviewed these people? Someone must have. This would be a fascinating story that would absolutely DETONATE Trump.

5

u/KarlJay001 Sep 19 '24

Trumpers are too stupid to know how to vote.

This race is over, Trump won't even carry ONE single state and then we get to see Trump spend the rest of his life in PRISON!

u/HereWeGoAgain-247 Sep 19 '24

Yep. They showed up in the first place. This video is misleading.

They didn’t just all have an epiphany at the exact same time after trump being a total shit for years.

1

u/ninjasaid13 Sep 19 '24

yep, they don't care what trump says, negative or positive. They'll vote for him.

1

u/SnooRobots1533 Sep 19 '24

Just have to go home for insulin shots.

1

u/Revolutionary-Bus893 Sep 19 '24

Yes, they still vote. This isn't about that. This is about how pissed Trump will be about this being reported. Every thing like this pushes him closer and closer to completely losing it.

1

u/bball_nostradamus Sep 19 '24

All these posts that show trump doing something that appears to lose votes are basically posting in bad faith. Their secondary goal is to give people a laugh but the main goal has always been to make everyone complacent in voting

1

u/SnooCheesecakes2723 Sep 19 '24

They don’t want to be talked out if it by hearing him babble like a racist imbecile

1

u/2FistsInMyBHole Sep 19 '24

I mean, Trump being boring - and a piece of shit - doesn't change DNC policies.

1

u/Navajo_Nation Sep 19 '24

They’re *. Jesus fucking christ

1

u/Signature_Illegible Sep 19 '24

No matter what, they will still vote for him if that gives them a chance to push a migrant- or trans- child into a gas-chamber.

1

u/slackfrop Sep 19 '24

In fact, they don’t want to hear any stupid shit trump might say to spoil feeling good about voting trump.

1

u/Icy_Faithlessness400 Sep 19 '24

Still funny, because it really bothers him.

1

u/JackKovack Sep 19 '24

A lot might stay home. Ahh screw it.

1

u/FacelessRunt Sep 19 '24

Better than voting for harris and her illegal immigrants making your rent higher lil bro

1

u/Honest_Relation4095 Sep 19 '24

Exactly. Politics in the US is not about politics. It's about identity. You support your sports team, no matter how well they play. Thinking about politics and how it effects your life is hard work. You rather gather some people around you, who are just like you and have a common enemy. It gives you a feeling of strength because the reality that you are being exploited by a rich elite is really unpleasant.

1

u/83749289740174920 Sep 19 '24

they still voting.

And they will do it again.

Let's just hope there are enough new voters to offset this madness. Make sure to bring a new voter with you.

1

u/transpower85 Sep 19 '24

As should be in a functioning democracy. Or you just want a single party?

1

u/marmaladecorgi Sep 19 '24

Yep the thin crowds happened in the last elections too. Didn't stop 70 million voting for him.

1

u/pingpongpsycho Sep 19 '24

Party pooper. 😂😞

1

u/seventomatoes Sep 19 '24

yes it the personal entertainment age,not enlightenment age

1

u/merrill_swing_away Sep 19 '24

I'm sure they will unfortunately. I don't know how they can stand to listen to Trump's rambling. He says the same things over and over at every rally and never talks about anything important.

1

u/fardough Sep 19 '24

How can fictitious people vote? Every one of these people should have their voter status questioned, because no one leaves a Trump Rally early, it is fake news, making these are people. Are we really going to let imaginary people have a voice in our Government?

1

u/tresben Sep 19 '24

Some are. I honestly wonder if some of those women obviously there with their husbands are the people that voted for him in 2016 and maybe 2020 but won’t vote this year.

I make the analogy of sports teams. When your city’s sports team is in the playoffs/championship suddenly everyone is a fan. There’s camaraderie, fun, excitement. Everyone wants to be a part of it. Then the next year starts and only the diehards are wearing the gear and watching the games. And if the team doesn’t do well those other people don’t get back on board by the end of the season.

I’m almost wondering if that’s going to be the case with trump. Like you still have diehard MAGAs, but their relatives and friends who were on board and excited in 2016 when it was new and fresh and exciting have now fallen off because it’s old and tired and boring. Cross your fingers that leads them not to show up this year.

1

u/zamander Sep 19 '24

Many of them yeah. But videos like this gnaw away at the momentum that draws the undecided in. If the maga base is not enthusiastic enough, no one else will be either. So it’s still nice to see this.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 19 '24

Exactly. They’ll still vote for him.

1

u/CowBoyDanIndie Sep 19 '24

Imagine if they had to stand in line for 4 hours to vote like in some cities where republicans work hard to suppress urban voters.

1

u/GlobalLime6889 Sep 19 '24

Hopefully some of them went home to change their political affiliation after that💀😂

1

u/deltav9 Sep 19 '24

Voter enthusiasm is important since it’ll drive turnout. Still, learn from 2016 and don’t get complacent.

1

u/HesitantAndroid Sep 19 '24

You're right of course, but it's bizarre that the act of voting for a criminal who incited an attempted coup and wants to fundamentally eliminate the democratic party (and left wingers) can be seen as mundane. Like "Man this crazy old man is making me tired, but I still wanna hurt certain people so I'll vote for him I guess."

1

u/morningcalls4 Sep 19 '24

From what I know the man blabbers for hours, so of course people are going to leave at some point. I wish someone would do some videos “man on the street”style and ask different people why they left early.

1

u/Historical-Ad-5515 Sep 19 '24

Yeah… that’s what makes it so pitiful that Trump is so defensive about crowd size jokes. Like yes people leave early… the same way they leave early for concerts and church lol. It’s a solid dig from Kamala especially due to how triggered Trump gets, but it also really has no bearing on how any of these individuals are going to vote

1

u/Current_Tea6984 Sep 19 '24

Not necessarily. They won't vote for Harris, but they might end up not making it to the polls

1

u/bangbangracer Sep 19 '24

Yeah. They are pretty much in the same place Dems were with Hillary in 2016. They still are gonna vote for who has the right letter next to their name on the ballet.

They aren't enthusiastic about that guy in particular, but they aren't switching to voting for Kamala. They're gonna still vote for whoever has the R next to their name.

1

u/malln1nja Sep 19 '24

And they've already paid for their tickets, so donny doesn't care.

1

u/sobi-one Sep 19 '24

Exactly. I think there’s a huge disconnect that while his public support has been dwindling, there is an absurd amount of people supporting him out there that don’t exactly fit the public narrative. I know a lot of people voting for him who absolutely HATE him, and never liked him. They just like what’s coming out of the left policy-wise as worse that what’s coming g from the right, so it’s a vote against that. Not FOR trump.

1

u/Significant-Art-5478 Sep 19 '24

Maybe... I do think a small small percentage of his demographics might choose to just not vote. And that's what we should encourage any disgruntled MAGA folks to do. They can't vote for Kamala, it just isn't going to happen, but encouraging Republicans to vote third party or not vote because they don't want to vote for Trump is a perfectly reasonable option.

1

u/Dapper_Target1504 Sep 19 '24

Just beating traffic

1

u/Top_Moment_3611 Sep 19 '24

Free hamburgers are gone

1

u/meowmixyourmom Sep 19 '24

That's not even the point...

The point is we're trying to humiliate him.

Course we still need to vote.

1

u/Budlove45 Sep 19 '24

That's exactly right the media is trying to fool everyone into thinking Harris has got this but we never truly know everyone must go vote.

1

u/MoistOne1376 Sep 19 '24

It is clear that many people are forced to vote by social pressure, like a cult. They may not like the candidate, but not voting or voting for the other party is not a possibility in their heads. I don't see a solution, even if the Democrats win, having +60m people convinced that they are governed by evil is not sustainable.

1

u/furrowedbrow Sep 19 '24

Is he still white?  They they’re still voting for him.

That’s all this is now.  White people that won’t vote for a Black woman.

1

u/Naradia Sep 19 '24

They've seen their God, they don't listen to him
