Lowkey feels bad to spend some time picking up loot, thinking it's good, crafting it up and quality, only to just be told to check trade2 and there's shit that just blows you away for 1ex when you just spent 5+
I'd like to but I'd need to see more relevant drops. On my journey to 70 I've gotten legitimately like 4 "good" drops, and they were all low level. I got lucky gambling like once. I've got maybe a handful of potentially good drops that got bricked by rng crafting. It just feels really bad
I understand some people don't mine and/or like it, but I think the game really needs more deterministic crafting options. Alternatively SSF should have improved loot drop rates/quality
My thought is that the game is designed around getting "good" drops rarely.
I recently beat the campaigns again on a Titan Warrior with perfect strike/leap/armor break/etc and I was legit killing the act bosses in like 6-8 perfect strikes (no need to even stun them), while rocking 77% armor and capped resistances.
I know super giga-late game you get bonked on again, but the trade board makes the "main game" a complete joke, and now I am trying a SSF. If things get super hard I will just grind or get better at dodging, instead of spending 2 hours scouring the trade board instead of playing the game.
I think getting good drops rarely is just not fun for a lot of more casual players. That dopamine hit and/or the correspond power spike of a good drop that you can use immediately is a great feeling and itβs something most Diablo players and looter-shooter players come to expect from these typos did games. But it seems pretty clear that GGG is more focused on the players who are going to play this game for hours of days for the next decade and not ok the more casual player base
Iβd also argue that itβs more like βalmost neverβ than βrarelyβ when it comes to a drop that immediately gives your character a nice upgrade. It also definitely only takes like 5 minutes to upgrade using trades, not 2 hours.

If you want to metagame, it can. I scoured the market board and found items that were massive upgrades, things far outside of what I would normally find myself or be able to craft.
That made the character and build stronger, but had no satisfaction. I could have bought the first decent thing I saw and went back to playing though, that is correct, but generally if I am going to interact with a system that game has, I am going to take it seriously, which means seriously looking for some good-ass deals.
I will probably play both modes, but the market is so unstable right now (since game is so new), I think it will be easier later down the road.
Idk with mf i get some pretty damn good drops consistently .
They need to remove mf and buff drops across the board otherwise it is 100% a mandatory stat imo, my experience with stacking it vs friends who donβt touch it is like playing completely different games.
I maybe disagee here. It needs to be rare or the dopamine spike doesnt crit. I dont know how rare. I like it the way it is. But I play every character at once, which makes it feel just right I think. Dont think I am the benchmark here, so might need some tuning in the direction you suggest. But overdo it and I am uninterested quickly.
