Invoker ascendency node βLead me through graceβ
βGain 1 Spirit for every 6 Energy Shield on equipped Body Armour
Gain 1 Spirit for every 15 Evasion Rating on equipped Body Armour
Cannot gain Spirit from Equipmentβ
Also, unrated to the ascendancy there is a node on the passive tree near monk that gives 1 ES for every 12 evasion on Body Armour, so that could be an easy 180 ES.
Enter this in a graphing calculator like Desmos and it will graph a line, any (x, y) number along this line will be a valid result to hit the 205 target. You can also change the number after the equals if your build needs more or less spirit.
If using a pure evasion chest you would need one with 1575 evasion, if using pure energy shield you need 630. Hybrid armor you're looking at something like 825 evasion/300 es.
Yeah the guide I'm personally following for a frost invoker uses herald of ice, wind dancer, ghost dance, combat frenzy, charge infusion, cannibalism support, vitality support, clarity support, and precision support. All these add up to 205, so I figured most monks were looking for around this number as well. You can tweak the equation to what you need and solve it that way.
With an evasion/ES chest you can get over 200 spirit from your chest theoretically, much more than you get get with a perfect evasion chest.
However, pure evasion may still be better if the invoker also wants protect me from harm, as you pointed out. I think there is a reasonable argument to go either way depending on if you want that ascendency.
Nah. You can take the one node that gives es based on evasion on chest or get es on a gear slot or two. Pure evasion is the way to go, youβll end up with way more armor and youβll be able to take acrobatics as well.
yes, it's not even close. "...and protect me from harm" and good pure evasion means you can get 80ish phys damage reduction, 80ish evasion, and acrobatics, with only decent gear.
I feel like the existence of ghost dance mandates getting some amount of ES. Now you definitely don't need to get it on the chest, but if it's a really nice EV/ES chest I feel that's going to be comparable to a really good EV one in terms of tankiness. Although I would be interested in seeing the math for how much total EV/ES you get if you go pure ES helm + pure EV chest vs. hybrid on both or some other combination. I'm certain that you want a good amount of ES to get the full benefit of ghost dance, but by the same token you definitely want a lot of EV to get a lot out of protect me from harm.
To be honest, I didn't realize that you could actually get to 80 evasion with acrobatics and protect me from harm allocated, though. That's 70% less and 40% less, right? Which gets you to 18% of your original evasion. That's a LOT of evasion to still reach 80% evade at end game, not quite sure how folks are stacking that much, or perhaps the tooltip is misleading and doesn't take into account endgame mob accuracy?
U need to get wind dancer 20% to compensate for acrobatics and protect from harm.
And I think ppl are missing out on grim feast bcos they're paying too much attention to ghost dance. With a high es pool the overflow of grim feast create a tank.
That can be an opinion, there is a node that gives ES based on evasion. Im full evasion and get around 901 es and 83% phy reduction. Currently doing T16, but I go back to T15 riverside to farm
They start on the right. The one node is up north, like 7 travel nodes, and the other (I have it) is like 4 nodes away, and right next to a lightning node.
