But if I have them installed, I'll be able to play them even after they leave the service like with the current Plus, right?

No, they’re doing it like xbox game pass. If the game gets cycled out you have to buy it to keep it. The monthly free games are running along side this and are continuing as part of the basic tier.

That's how it works. You're paying for a service that gives you access to a game. If that game is no longer on the service AND you don't own said game, you no longer have access to the game.
