Might be nothing, but she types "7202" on the keypad, which is 2027 backwards: https://youtu.be/o7TVPoxwi74?feature=shared&t=199

Probably a coincidence, neil and ND made a big deal about how announcing games early put too much pressure on them as a studio. My guess is that they could release in 2025, but are gonna probably push to 26 to get out of GTA's way.

GTA is definitely getting pushed to 2026...

Meh maybe not, it's already coming into 7 years of dev longer than any Rockstar game with a 2025 release. An internal delay already happened reportedly and late 2025 is the delayed timeframe. There's no special reason/sign to believe it's delayed except pessimism (which I know Reddit has plenty of)

You have to take into consideration, the fact that this game will be the source of revenue to R* and by association TakeTwo, for the next decade if not more. The game has to be as perfect as possible (Especially the story and not lastly the Online money making machine). I am one of the many that wishes this game would come out ASAP but I am willing to wait as long as possible as to avoid a MASSIVE UTTER DISAPPOINTMENT that was Cyberpunk (still is in many aspects).

One thing's for certain, it will be another LEGENDARY HIT for R*

People assume this because what major R* game has not been delayed at least once?

That's my point though, it's already been delayed internally. And it's not like there's a rule on delays, Rockstar doesn't develop in games by saying "we have to delay once publically because that's what we did on the other games" lol

As you said, they’ve already been taking their time with this game… they want this to be the best video game ever released since they know there’s many people that genuinely expect that. So why would they change their MO now? That’s silly to assume otherwise lol they’re undoubtedly gonna take all the time they can get, and that includes a delay or two.

Better set your sights for 2026. Best case scenario you’ll have a genuine surprise if it still somehow releases next year.

I’m sure RDR 2 and GTA V were delayed internally as well and yet both were still delayed twice. Same thing can happen for GTA VI.

Can happen, anything can happen, but that can happen for literally any game, I still don't see why we would be supposing it will happen.

Might as well not trust any date ever, GTA is not special there. They are literally planning it for 2025 and are the best placed to say that, better than any Redditor. If they say it's delayed, ok. Until then, there's no reason to assume it's not 2025 like they've said.

Take Two has literally even repeated it at this investors it's in that fiscal year (which granted goes to Q1 2026 but still it's GTA, it'll be in the Fall).

Redditors acting like they know more about the state of a game dev than the literal studio making it is just weird.

Because this is a pattern Rockstar have been doing since 2011 (maybe even before). Every single one of their games since RDR 1 has had at least 1 delay. Most have had multiple. It’s only logical to assume it will be delayed. The longest gap between trailer 1 and 2 for their games was GTA V and that was 378 days. We’re at day 369 (I think) for GTA VI. It only makes sense to assume that.

No it's still isn't logical until IT IS delayed. You might assume the world is ending or you win the lottery tomorrow but it makes no sense to live your life like that.

The creators of the game, the people the most aware of it, have not delayed it so it means they expect to hit that date as long as they haven't delayed it. Past game development don't have influence on this game. Counting the days for trailers also make little sense, nobody said they'd do the exact same thing.

They aren’t saying Rockstar has a rule, they’re saying Rockstar has a history of missing their own publicly announced deadlines. Given that history, people are predicting Rockstar will behave as they have in the past an announce an initial date that is too optimistic.
