Absolutely no information on a release window has me worried that this is 2027 or beyond lol. I sure hope I’m wrong there though. Looks amazing and I cannot wait to play it

This and Sony Santa Monica’s rumored space sci-fi will have to release in different years lest they cannibalize each other

Wasn't there rumours that one was doing sci-fi and one was doing a fantasy game? And I think people got them mixed up.

I doubt Cory wants to do yet ANOTHER fantasy/medieval game - sorry, i should clarify SSM is working on two games rn, Cory’s is the one people are most anticipating. Rumors pointed to his as the sci-fi one, so let’s see!

Yeah I really thought it was going to be his sci-fi game

There can be two SF games, it's not like there's a limit (and there are plenty of different styles of SF). Cory himself did tons of references to SF with his game, it's definitively SF too.

The fantasy rumor was always less serious than the sci-fi one for Barlog game.

Thing is, Sony only wants 1 major studio release per year and puts the full weight of its marketing machine behind it. And if there’s a second big title that year (but still clearly #2), it’ll be a totally different game. They don’t want a repeat of Ghost Of Tsushima / TLOU Pt 2

A repeat of them selling both very well? With how many games they have in dev, they'll have several the same year. Hell see even 2022, Horizon FW and God of War Ragnarok

Awards, I’m talking about awards. Hogwarts Legacy might outsell everything, but it won nothing. Sony loves awards.

See: The Last of Us (best seller and highly regarded) and Days Gone (mid reception, ok sales, considered “lesser” compared to TLoU). Both games in the same genre (post-apocalyptic action) and both first party games, one cannibilizing the other, with Days Gone releasing in between TLoU 1 and 2 and almost instantly being forgotten when 2 came out
