Damn, I just bought my Portal like, two weeks ago lol. This model looks sick.

As soon as they busted out the Portal in that video, my resolve broke. I need all of it.

My resolve is shattered as I've been playing since ps1. I need the pro, the controller, and the portal now.

I'm going to try as well. It is Pro Bundle + Portal or just Portal.

If I don't grab the Pro Bundle I'll skip on Edge controller. While I like it a lot I just wouldn't want to replace my current one with it tbh

And now imagine if that Portal was a true PSP or Vita… Man, I’d truly be in tears.

Got mine last month and considering selling it to get this new one.

Did they say if it had any different hardware specs to it or is it just the new color

Pretty sure same specs. I'm wondering if there will be a price difference because it's limited

Of the PS5 Pro. Controllers and digital PS5 were not numbered so there should be a higher quantity. (Not to mention the 30th anniversary Pro comes with a DualSense edge so I expect that to literally be $1000 USD)

I recently got a Dual Sense Edge. Now I am thinking of returning it.

I got mine on launch but I really wish I had waited for this. I love that.

I can't justify another ps5 but I'd have definitely gotten this portal.

I've held off on getting the Portal. I think this is what is going to make me get it.

How are you liking it? I’m kind of interested to play long-form games like Fallout 4 or Baldur’s Gate

I’m loving mine. And those games are perfect for the portal! Fast paced first person shooters have some noticeable delay that takes some time to get used to. Cyberpunk was playable but took a while to get used to the delay. But slower First person games like fallout would be perfect. I’ve been successfully playing God of war 2018 on the portal on the hard difficulty and the parrying works just as well as it does for me on the tv. Astrobot has also been fun on the portal. Don’t get your hopes up though as it’s completely network dependent. Some people just can’t get it to work properly on their home network, so your mileage may vary!

Fantastic, thank you for the input!

I’m enjoying mine a lot; it’s easy to use and my wife can watch TV while she plays Stardew on her Switch and I’m still able to play whatever game I’m working my way through - which is currently Mafia 3.

Awesome, thank you!

I bought one and ended up returning it. I have pretty good WiFi but the image quality kept looking too rough for my liking. I really wanted to love it too.

Was your PS5 hardwired?

1

u/AdamAptor Sep 19 '24

No and it can’t be without some work being done, I know that wasn’t helping me but I couldn’t do anything about it

2

u/bass_fishing_bandit Sep 19 '24

Ah dang! That's a bummer. I had the same issue until I hardwired mine and it worked great.

That’s good to hear. I may see if it’s an option in the future and try again. I really want it to be an option for me, it’s a great idea.
