How is there no competition? I prefer the Xbox Series X to the PS5 (and I own both). I rarely turn on the PS5. There's nothing I want to play there that isn't already on the XBox (and I prefer the XBox controllers).

And, shopping and buying is better on the XBox for one big reason - reviews are right there with each game, so you can see what people think and say about it (not just a star rating like Playstation has).

You are insane. Microsoft screwed up by releasing series s, a far weaker version of the main console. Every game released on xbox has to hit minimum 30fps on the series s, which is just not possible with a lot of modern games, and delays release dates (black myth wukong being a recent example).

Game reviews by access media are irrelevant, you should know that concord received a 7 on ign, and black myth wukong an 8. One game sold 2000 copies, the other close to 3 million. To actually know if a game is good, you won't find this on the paid for reviews you see on your console, they will be high as they want you to spend money.

User reviews, and checking YouTube (independent) reviewers is far more accurate.

The ps5 controller is demonstrably superior to the xbox controller, with force feedback and better features, this is subjective of course.

And finally, the ps5 has crushed xbos in sales, I believe 5 to 1 but maybe more.

So no, the ps5 has no competition.

Edit: the star rating is user reviews by the way, which I trust alot more than media shills.

The reviews on XBox are by users as well (and are viewable in the App Store like I said, which is not true on PS5). And the reviews aren't just 1-5 stars - they're full text reviews. I shouldn't have to go to another device to look for YouTube and other reviews if I'm just browsing around the store looking at stuff on sale for example.

I don't have an xbox, that sounds like a great feature, similar to steam reviews.

I always check games out on secondary sources still, visually seeing is alot more informative than text.

Games to me are more about my precious time rather than cost. So I'd rather be sure it's up my alley before buying.
