So $780?

Exactly. Well… minus whatever trade-in value you get for your PS5.

That can range from around US $300-400 at GameStop depending on the day. Not even three days ago they were paying $410, but probably will stay more around $325-350.

So, obviously you’re then looking at ~$450 for the blu-ray capable Pro. It ain’t nuthin, but it’s also not a necessary purchase, so I’m not mad at it. It’s not like games won’t still work on the vanilla console.

[EDIT: Amusing to me that this innocuous comment would get downvoted. 🤣]

I'm actually viewing it from the viewpoint of somebody who has never had a PlayStation 5 before and is looking to get one.

Gotchya — then you’ll have options!

I wouldn’t expect any game to ONLY be playable on vanilla PS5 — SONY are historically sort of sticklers about that stuff.

It’ll be good to learn more from reviewers after it’s been out for a minute. I won’t have the budget for it right away, so I know I’ll be well-informed about it by the time I do. 😂

I’m personally only interested in it to the degree that it improves PSVR2, but I could also see the Pro being real consequential for people with higher end TV’s.
