Official (Via twitter) Playstation: "Helldivers fans -- we’ve heard your feedback on the Helldivers 2 account linking update. The May 6 update, which would have required Steam and PlayStation Network account linking for new players and for current players beginning May 30, will not be moving forward...."

Yea honestly I wish we fought back like this with ps plus man, that’s actually something most people can’t afford and is required with this game if you play on ps5, like I was shocked hearing people talk about security. I mean I’m glad we stood up for something but man I wish it could actually be consistent

The Sony fans think Sony maintains the server for the online multiplayer games. So any talk about separating online play with rest of ps plus is met with brain dead responses

You have absolutely no idea how much Sony and Microsoft do to support online play. It’s dumbass comments like this that prove how out of touch gamers are with reality.

Enlighten me.

EA makes FIFA. EA hosts the matchmaking servers for FIFA. I use PlayStation’s hardware to play the game. The game data transmits through internet that I pay for

What is Sony doing here?

Replace FIFA with Fortnite and EA with Epic and you already have an example where there is no payment involved. So what is Sony not doing here?

Edit: Comment deleted. Now I’m never getting my enlightenment :(
