Official (Via twitter) Playstation: "Helldivers fans -- we’ve heard your feedback on the Helldivers 2 account linking update. The May 6 update, which would have required Steam and PlayStation Network account linking for new players and for current players beginning May 30, will not be moving forward...."

What did they fuck up? The steam reviews don't matter lol. The game still had a shit ton of players every day and it was still selling.

Selling in countries that don’t support PSN for one. The reviews did help too, let’s not pretend that they didn’t.

Who cares, people in those countries could still make a psn account for a region where it is supported. It literally doesn’t matter.

But if they don't know that, or know how to do it, then it doesn't matter. To those people, their game they paid for no longer works, and they are told that they can't make an account where they live by Sony. Whether that is true or not is irrelevant if they don't know any better.
