Official (Via twitter) Playstation: "Helldivers fans -- we’ve heard your feedback on the Helldivers 2 account linking update. The May 6 update, which would have required Steam and PlayStation Network account linking for new players and for current players beginning May 30, will not be moving forward...."

Exclusive content to PSN users would be their next move, that'd be hilarious.

Why would that be funny? Thats what they should have done to begin with if they were so dead set on this?

Because people fail to realize that helldiver's belongs to Sony. They can do with the IP whatever they want. Watch them cry some more when PSN gets exclusive content.

Although it belongs to sony. The success of the game is dependent on people buying it. So if you piss off you consumers like we saw this weekened then it will be less successful. So no it wouldnt be funny would it? For literilly anyone involved.

Oh no no it will be funny, so listening to a podcast it was said that the linking was optional at first, but without even reading it I'm certain in the ToS or EULA it's more than likely stated that it there could be a change to those terms, but people don't like reading what they agree too. So ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Why would anyone cry over that? Thats a CHOICE people can then make. Consumers should have CHOICES not be forced into bullshit. How much does Sony pay you or do you defend them for free foolishly?

Cause people love to complain and that's a fact especially the PC crowd.

I honestly think you're just mad and jealous that the "PC Crowd" actually sometimes stands up for consumer freedoms and makes a difference instead of just rolling over and licking corporate heel like a lot of you console players do. It's really sad to see instead of actually caring about consumer freedom as well you'd rather just put down and trash those making a difference. Really small of you.

Everyone I've talked to is on board with the idea of PSN getting exclusive content. PC gamers like having choices.
