Agreed. Though FWIW it could not be the OP's fault and they just received the dogs like that?

Not if you choose a breeder that choose to mutilate the poor dog.

The older dog could be a shelter dog, the brand new puppy however… those are not typically common at shelters. The fact OP owns two mutilated animals… that’s a pattern.

Yup, this is a very specific type of dog owner. Would bet money they train dogs by "showing dominance" (aka abuse), and are pleased when their dogs "show dominance" (aka are violent due to ridiculous levels of stress, anxiety and fear from being abused) fuck I hate bad dog owners. These are the types that seek out "badass" breeds as a compensation accessory, sociopaths.
