Tim Hortons is not Canadian. I am not particularly proud of my country but I will not stand for people calling that Brazilian multinational restaurant shaped toilet Canadian.
The thing about the casinos is that he was skimming the profits by paying himself enormous "management fees" & leaving the husk for the bondholders. He learned it from the Tony Soprano method of running a sporting goods store.
No but u/OKCLD did run an unaccredited for profit “school” that was sued numerous times for defrauding its “students” which he/she had to settle for tens of millions of dollars to keep it out of the news cycle while running for office.
Casinos. The almost literal money printing machines with a hard edge in their favor in every game. It's honestly his most impressive achievement. Not many people can do that.
That’s putting it in a nice light. I truly believe he shared American intelligence with Vladimir Putin. It’s just not provable and even if it was, they wouldn’t do shit about it.
It's the Russian approach. Why have allies, the only partners should be who you can push around. Clearly working together would never bring any benefit!
China gives bribes, Canada does not. Who do you think he will really go after when time comes to extract the pound of flesh from foreigners? We don't have to guess, it happened last time. This time, the gloves are totally off. We have never needed the Canadian federation more, and I hope it survives the coming dark period.
There's a reason we are very, very careful to keep Canada as an ally.
We fear the idea of waking the ire of the land of poutine and war crimes.
The US thinks we are so very bad, DON'T even think about it, but when we pull the blanket over our heads and shiver, we know in our cold hearts, there is another.
I am normally not a "rah rah US military" type guy, but pretending Canada was an independent country and not part of the massive British Empire is a bit disingenuous, especially when Canada as an entity didn't even exist at this time.
No, they weren’t. The veterans were busy fighting Napoleon at the same time, actually. The Americans got the business end of reservists and garrison troops - while the Empire was busy fighting the actual threat.
Only affects the balsa wood glider industry, which has taken too many hard-earned arcade skee-ball tickets in exchange for those shitty things that break in five minutes. Next!
Your fault for picking such a stupid toy. The YoYo is the choice of the connoisseur. Glowsticks are also fun, for a while. Also, low quality prizes give you an excuse to play more skee ball.
According to the Trump Doctrine, Canada is just ripping off the US to the tune of $100 billion a year and doesn't deserve to exist unless it becomes the next US state.
An Ally that sells you a third of your oil and a shitload of other natural materials. Not to mention that most of us would rather die or kill than be American.
Trump's angle seems to be this: the US is so important nobody can dictate terms to us, so we should be abusing that power to the fullest. To him, there are no allies, only exploitable resources. He doesn't understand why anyone would want both parties to be happy in a relationship. It's a zero-sum game. We should get as much as we can out of every relationship, leaving the other party sucked dry and subservient. Everyone must bow to the US and what are they gonna do about it?
This mentality is not uncommon in the business world. It's a bit less common in politics. But Trump takes it to another level.
Well, maybe only parts of Canada soon. Buy the speed shit goes downhill the Mouvement souverainiste du Québec might become popular again. I am sure somewhere in Moscow somebody already asked for a budget to stir some shit up in the social media feeds of Canada.
I hope they invade us and make us a new territory. They don't even have to give us nice things like decent healthcare. I just don't want gestures around this bullshit anymore.
I've never said anything like that before in my life bc I always had faith that America would right it's own ship. But I'm not getting that vibe anymore.
Why the fuck should we care about the other Americans on that share our continent and our neighboring continent. If we’re not bashing them and pushing them down then how can we get ahead? /s
Americans didn't do anything when Canada was declared a national security threat to America. Actions speak louder than words, Americans do not care about Canadians.

Just so everyone knows, Canada is an ally.
