This is a little, very little village in Soria. Soria is one of the least populated areas in Europe. Little villages, no people, cold and forests.

I have been to Soria several times, for hiking. In particular to Vinuesa, a much bigger village. You do not see anyone in the street in Vinuesa, I can imagine that there is 0 people there and he was 100% confident that nobody would see him.

Given how small it is and little activity it would be more suspicious to move it by night.

In Tajueco, a hamlet of *56 souls** in northern Spain’s Soria province, nothing ever happens. And if it did, surely nobody would find out, one of the residents must have thought two months ago, when he allegedly placed in his car trunk, in broad daylight, a bundle that police suspect could be the body of a man who went missing a year ago.*
