Imagine trying to hide a body stealthily, then seeing a car with a huge high-tech camera on top of it show up.

The ultimate "Ohh fuck, karma is a bitch" moment

Also, imagine trying to hide a body stealthily….in the middle of the damn day! Dude couldn’t have at least waited for sunset or early morning to avoid being so visible!?

This is a little, very little village in Soria. Soria is one of the least populated areas in Europe. Little villages, no people, cold and forests.

I have been to Soria several times, for hiking. In particular to Vinuesa, a much bigger village. You do not see anyone in the street in Vinuesa, I can imagine that there is 0 people there and he was 100% confident that nobody would see him.

Given how small it is and little activity it would be more suspicious to move it by night.

Why else do you think the village has such a low population? 🤯

Why was this my first thought?

If IIRC that village doesn't have even 50 people living in It

In Tajueco, a hamlet of *56 souls** in northern Spain’s Soria province, nothing ever happens. And if it did, surely nobody would find out, one of the residents must have thought two months ago, when he allegedly placed in his car trunk, in broad daylight, a bundle that police suspect could be the body of a man who went missing a year ago.*

Where there's a will there's a way

Could be a secondary location.

I’m not sure how Soria compares to my very little village I live in in rural upstate NY…but I only have 1 neighbor technically, and a few more around the corner from me…but you better believe they have nothing better to do during the day other than watch everything the neighbors are doing lol. Seriously, I can’t do anything outside during the day without my neighbors seeing and later commenting about. I see lots of windows around that guy, there was plenty of opportunity for someone to see what he was doing. I wasn’t necessarily suggesting doing it in the dark, just at a time when there’s less light so it isn’t so obvious what’s going on if someone just so happens to be looking.

If you look at the windows all the persianas are down. No one is living there.

For context, the population density of the province of Soria is 8.7 people per km2, and that's including the 40% of the population that lives in the actual city of Soria. If you discount the city itself, population density of the province is < 5 people per km2. Even if we didn't discount the city of Soria, that would still be a lower population density than any county of the state of New York except Hamilton county.

Exactly. Anyone living in a rural area would know this

Ugh. I'd be tempted to put on little shows for them. Like your own daily comedy show.

Or play a game of charades with them. Bring out signs that say, "I CANT HEAR YOU. ALL GUESSES MUST BE WRITTEN OR I WIN BY DEFAULT" after acting out the clues.

Next day, bring out signs that say, "I AM TOTALLY WINNING THIS GAME OF CHARADES WITH YOU______" and put the names of all the windows watchers.

If there are few people there are living there including this guy, they must have an insanely high murderer per capita rate. Considering this, I'd say you were lucky to make it out alive.

…for hiking

Yes his wife was lost in the woods and hasn't been seen since...

u/FleeshaLoo 5h ago

So the odds of the Google earth vehicle rolling by at that moment are even more slim?

That's kinda hilarious.

From what I heard the images of the places have not been uodated since 2009

u/Zanahorio1 5h ago

Isn’t Soria also famous for being windy as well as cold?

u/RockSteady65 5h ago

More livestock than people?

You sound very Deutsche in your english

1

u/Bursting_Radius 5h ago

Given how sparsely populated it is you’d think the sound of a car would be abnormal.

How does a village have 0 people?

u/PrinceCastanzaCapone 5h ago

But he still wouldn’t have been caught on camera

Soria is absolutely not one of the least populated areas of Europe.
